I wasn't too sure about the place from the outside, but inside is updated, clean, and a very friendly staff. I was ordering to-go since I had some hungry guests at my house so I went with the 30 wing combo, with fries, lo mein, and fried rice. It also came with a bowl of choice and three drinks, in which I went with the steak bowl. For the wings I went with the Korean BBQ, Lemon pepper, and garlic pepper. The wings were crispy, juicy, and flavorful. The fries were crispy and generous in portions. The lo mein and fried rice was nothing special, but decent to go along with the wings. The steak bowl was pretty good too. Everything taste better with the chimac sauce! The fountain drinks that chimac makes which is their lemonade, a strawberry kiwi, and this mango drink is like crack in a cup. So don't sleep on those drinks! I will definitely be back to this place for more wings. Give this place a try, you won't regret it! read more

I have been to this restaurant twice this week and received the same great service and quality of food! Don't let the outside of the building fool you as this is an older building because the inside is very clean and the staff is friendly. The wings and fried rice are amazing as I recently had that last night. I ordered the #6 family combo and it came with 30 wings, kbbq bowl (chicken or steak), two large sides (onion rings and fried rice were my selection), and 4 large (32 oz.) cups for soda. That meal was only $26.xx and well worth it as it fed a family of four plus we had leftovers for the next day. Since my order was a lot to carry, the friendly employee at the front counter helped carry my food while I carried the four large drinks to my car. Definitely outstanding customer service! I plan to go back as every item on the menu is very affordable and the quality of the food is excellent. Chimac, keep up the great work as my family and I are now loyal customers! A friend of mine told me about Chimac about a month ago and I've been dying to try it. I love supporting local business. Today, I visited them on Yelp and ordered online. It was fast and simple. I ordered pick up for me and a co-worker. When I arrived, my food was already bagged and ready to go. When I got the the office, I discovered that they had only placed one of my orders in the bag. I called the restaurant immediately and they were quick to resolve the issue. Someone (I believe he was the owner) arrived at my office within 15 minutes with my missing order with additional items thrown in. WOW! Talk about customer service......other restaurants can learn from these guys! They mean business. And the beef BBQ was AMAZING. The servings are generous and the prices very reasonable. I've always passed this place up when commuting to and from work and home. Today, my spouse and I finally decided to give it a try. We both got bowls and actually enjoyed them. The chicken, shrimp, and steak were really good. There is a wide variety of meals to try here and the prices are not too expensive at all. My only concern was that we sat at a table that was open, and the table behind us was supposed to be closed due to social distancing and no one enforced social distancing once someone sat at the table less than 6 ft away. This place was awesome! My family and I are new to Houston and decided to stop in after reading online reviews and boy were they right! As fellow New Yorkers, we can appreciate variety and distinct flavors that met our tastebuds from the moment we ate our food. I ordered the spicy version of the Philly cheesesteak and my husband ordered the spicy beef bowl with rice. We both were very satisfied with our orders and our kids loved their food too. My daughter loved her wings and I snuck a few bites of my sons lo mein and it was epic! Nothing like a taste of home when you're far away. This review is based on what I had on the menu. (My husband and son both enjoyed their meals.) I ordered the Chicken Sandwich and as soon as I took my first bite, I knew it wasn't made with chicken breast, but with thigh meat. It does not state on the menu that it's thigh meat and I mistakenly assumed for the price of $7.50 for the sandwich alone, that it was a chicken breast. Looking at the photos on Yelp by the owner, it seems to be chicken breast by its thickness. When I told the cashier it was our first time there and then ordered the Chicken Sandwich, it may have been a good time to point that out. When a young man came to the table to drop off another dish, I asked him if it was made with chicken thigh and he said he didn't know, but could check. At that point it didn't matter. I wasn't going to order something else. I ended up only eating half. If you love chicken thighs, you'll probably love this sandwich. But if you don't, you won't. read more

I had the Korean bowl and it was amazing! The portion size was large. I felt guilty because I couldn't stop myself from eating the entire bowl. The sauce is very addictive. The prices are really affordable. The food is definitely worth more than what they charge. It was pouring down raining when I arrived so I had a chance to talk to one of the workers. He was so sweet.
