Today was my 1st time trying it. I live 20 or so minutes away so it's not close. I had already looked on Yelp and had decided that I wanted to get a Half & Half bowl. However, when I arrived and tried to order it, the young lady told me they no longer did the Half & Half bowls. I was disappointed!! I ordered the Large Steak bowl ($8.49 +2.90) with no Kimchi (not sure of spelling). I told her I wanted it spicy and I wanted extra sauce (30 cents). Total was $12.65. Normally I open my food and look at it but I did not this time. I was very hungry by the time I got home. I opened the bowl and I have to agree with others, that the meat to rice ratio is not equal. For a large bowl, there should have been more meat. There was not enough cabbage. It was as if the person was putting the 1st scoop in and got interrupted and forgot to finish. I literally had a teaspoon of cabbage. The rice was plentiful. I am glad I asked for extra sauce because if I had not, the meat did not have sauce on it. The sauce definitely is a great addition!! I taste the meat without it and it was not bad. However, the sauce definitely helps it and makes it taste better. The other whitish green sauce is yummy and reminds me of like a cilantro sauce. Overall, the food was good. I would go again if I felt like eating it but I wouldn't go out of my way or make it a weekly dining experience. If and when I visit again I will specifically ask for sauce to be added in the bowl and for additional sauce. I will let them know I want the correct amount of cabbage. Okay, LET'S GET INTO IT! So I've tried this spot several times via DoorDash. My first order was because I had been craving some wings and after getting burnt by Hooters. I was feeling adventurous willing to give a random spot a try to get my fix. I came across Chicmac. After "vetting" them via Google, I took the plunge. They passed the test and no joke, I literally ordered from them the next three days in a row because the hospital food was TRASH! WHAT I'VE ORDERED: - Large noodles: their noodle plain with the sauce is the bomb!!! - Wings: I've tried the lemon pepper wings, Honey Garlic, Garlic pepper, Korean Fried Wings honey Gochujang. The Lemon pepper and the Koren Fried Wings honey Gochujang are my fav. However, the Korean Wings are bready and fatty and seem to be mondo wings, lol. I also appreciate that I haven't found an accessive amount of hair on my chicken I HATE hairy chicken!!! P.S. The hot wings with dry rub (I.e Lemon pepper, garlic pepper, etc.) are not heavy with seasoning, so you might have to ask for extra if you want that banging flavorful coating, with a little bite. - The KBBQ Bowl + 6 wings + Drink Combo: I've gotten this several times in different ways, KBBQ chicken and fried rice, Shrimp, and noodles. I love the Kimchi that they add to the bowls! In general so much flavor. THE GOOD: - I love the portion sizes. They give you a great amount of food for the price I always have leftovers. - Fresh. The food I've gotten has always been fresh and serving temperature. THE BAD: - one order out of like a million I was cheated on my shrimp, it comes with 6, they gave me 4. - only other issue was one time the wings, weren't winging like normal. They were not bad but they weren't bussin like normal. However, both of these issues seemed to be one off's and this place is pretty consistent. This place is 10 out of 10! I got the spicy chicken bowl w/ kimchi and it was soo good! With the white sauce my food was 20 out of 10! My friend tried the steak bowl and she loved it! She said it was a 7 out of 10 but with the sauce it was 10 out of 10! All together our food was under $25 and it was so much food! The customer service is top tier! I called to place my order with questions and they were very patient while taking my order! They even recommended the spicy chicken over the jerk chicken and I'm glad I listened! She said 15 minutes for my food to be ready but it ready once I got there (about 10 minutes) It was super small on the inside but that's how I knew the food was going to be fire! Staff 100% the restaurant had just opened is relatively new & the staff were extremely helpful with explanations of menu options & suggestions of what to order. It is order at the counter only & seat yourself. The inside is pretty much made up of concrete, very clean as it's pretty new. There isn't a lot of personality as far as decorating or personality to the decor. I was surprised & excited as they offer wings!! This is going to be a better go-to spot to grab wings when you have that craving for wings with your pizza. The wing sauce wasn't watered down & the wings were cooked well. They have a few huge bottles of chimac sauce at a self serve beverage station on the side. The bowls are our favorite. Delicious, high quality, huge portions, and so cheap! I love their homemade noodles and especially their cabbage! We've also tried their wings which were also excellent. Service is fast and always very friendly. This is a fast food type place and we always order carry-out so not sure what the dining room is like. I wish they'd add a veggie bowl option - or more vegetables in general- but their fried foods seem to be super popular so maybe that's the focus. So I've been driving past this place every day to and from work for a year and a half now knowing nothing about it. To be honest, I figured it was just a random fried chicken dive I'd never want to try. Recently though I saw some buzz about it online and I was shocked to see the pictures and videos of the food. This place always pops up when searching for highest rated food around Cypress, figured was about time to try them out. Will have to say for looking like greasy fast food, I was pleasantly surprised. Got the KBBQ steak bowl with noodles, about $11.50. From afar it doesn't look like a lot, but it was filling. Yes, it was greasy but it didn't taste overwhelmingly so. The meat was decent quality. I have a habit of adding a lot of sauce (spicy, soy, etc.) but wasn't needed this time. I was even happy with the noodles. Overall can't complain, was a very enjoyable meal.
