The only hiccup we experienced was with the third-party vendor supplying the insert, since we initially had to pay them directly and ran into some issues. However, Eli stepped in, handled the situation, and arranged to pay the vendor himself, allowing us to reimburse him instead--which made things much smoother. Throughout both the initial service and the final installation, his crew was prompt, courteous, and efficient.

I reached out to MDM back in early 2025 and met with Mike right away so he could look at my…read moreproperty and walk me through what my wife and I wanted for our project. Throughout the entire process, Mike was very professional and the level of expertise he exhibited was obvious. Before Mike, I had met with 3 other contractors to compare services and quotes but what sealed the deal for me was the 3D render service Mike offered. It was affordable and it would be free if you end up going with MDM for your remodel. Mike was able to get the renderings to me very quickly and made adjustments whenever we wanted to change something. Seeing the details of the renderings really brought what we were envisioning to life and helped with the design process. Fast forward to beginning of demo/construction, Mike's employees were impressively fast and efficient at their jobs, but what really impressed me was how clean they kept our property after each day of work. And that stated true throughout the entire process of our 7 month renovation. During construction, if there were any last minute changes, Mike would always try to cater to our needs whenever possible. Even if subcontractors made mistakes with anything, Mike would make sure it is fixed and perfect right away. Keep in mind, you can't rely on Mike for everything (as much as you might want to). You really do have to do your research (in terms of design, finishing materials, sourcing those materials, and getting them delivered on time) and know exactly what you want and how you want it, that way, Mike can plan and put into action what needs to be done. After this entire process, we are extremely happy we got this project completed with MDM. What really sets them apart is the quality of work, dependability, and the great people that work for MDM. Shoutout to Mario! They really respected our home and were very considerate of us during construction. Nice enough guy (I thought), he knows his stuff, scammy approach to business. Explain: When you enquire you go through a person named George. He's the first point of contact and then he is the scheduler. You do not talk with anyone else. The technician arrives and does a thorough investigation-inspection and he tells you that'll be $250 for his time. WTF!! No one ever mentioned THAT!! I told him such and we then agree on $100.00 which I paid in cash. And yes, there was a little receipt handed over. He told me, 'there's a special this month and it's only $199 for a written estimate delineating everything I have found'. And then this clever bit: 'When I start my day at 6AM I prepare my paperwork from the day prior. I create the report I send to you'. I was comforted that I had received some value from my one-hundred dollar bill! Or, rather, that I was about to. I did not want to feel stupid. Next day: The 'report' came through and it was essentially only a couple of items mentioned at the site visit and a TOTAL PROJECT COST was given. In my case, he wrote down about one-half of the items that were mentioned the day before and the price was $4850. Is this how one does business to gain trust? My take-away from my experience: This guys smells, as professional scammers often do. read more

I needed a chimney service that includes a camera-inspection of the chimney, and repairs if necessary. Michael's 'Chimney Checkup' provides that, and what I saw during the camera-inspection confirmed my suspicions. Missing mortar and loose bricks in and above the fire box. The guys remove the old damper - to be replaced with a new one. Using a heat-tolerant mortar, they re-grout the entire fire box by going inside from the bottom - not real big guys needless to say. Then, working from the top, they re-grout the joints between the halves of the flue-liners. The inside of the fire box, and the smoke-chamber above is now smoothly faired. Very conscientious about protecting my place from soot when completing my chimney cleaning & inspection. The inspection report presented was very professional, thorough and detailed. This particular home has a very steep, tile roof so the drone was a great solution to prevent damage to the roof. As a landlord of multiple rental units I value my service providers. We had a great experience working with Chimney Checkup. After neglecting our chimney maintenance for a few years, we knew it was time to have a thorough cleaning performed. We were able to get scheduled within a few days, and Michael showed up on time and quickly got to work. Was very detailed and provided a list of recommended repairs (with no pressure to perform the repairs). Michael and his team came highly recommended from a neighbor and they did not disappoint! Communication was excellent. I got a reminder about my one hour arrival window the day before and a 30 minute call before Michael showed up. He cleaned the chimney (which works perfectly) and left the living room spotless.
