Craving chow mein?? If so, this is the place to go. The House Chow Mein was the BEST chow mein I have ever had. So full of flavor. Wow!! My husband was the first to compliment this delicious dish. The BBQ Pork was also very good. The parking is extremely limited and the inside dining is also very small. Enough room for 1 large group (6 people) and 3 small groups (4 people). They do get a quite a bit of take-out orders. They also have a large selection of teas, milk teas, and smoothies. Boba too. :-D Not sure when I'll be back because I live over 30 miles away. I really wanted to like this place but we came here last night and unfortunately, we will not be returning. We arrived around 5:40PM for an early dinner. There was a couple seated already waiting for their food and there were 2 girls who had just placed their order at the register before we came in. We ordered their House Special Fried Noodles, House Special Fried Rice, and Orange Chicken Bowl. I don't know if it's because the kitchen was not staffed accordingly but considering the time of the day we went, it should NOT have taken a full hour to get our food on the table from the moment we sat down. Great atmosphere at night in patio. Service was great they were very attentive, friendly. The food was why I rated it a 4. It was very tasty but it could be better. We ordered orange chicken spicy and Asian chicken salad. The salad could be fresher but tasted great non the less. We will be coming back soon to try something else. I came here a few times when I lived in California and Wow was it tasty, especially the service I will go back when I'm visiting for sure.

They keep their menu simple and easy for non-Chinese, which makes it easy for me to order their stuff. And they offer variety of desserts!! Cakes, ice cream, drinks and boba!! They also are very friendly with the customer. I went there once and wanted to buy some boba, the owner helped me decide by giving me samples of their ice teas. Had a delivery order also, and the person on the phone was so friendly and helpful. Really took his time and I didn't feel rushed, even though I was being so difficult as I didn't know what to order when I called in. The best part, they're not expensive!! I've been ordering from this place since the beginning of the year. They mostly do night food orders, and I usually pick it up when I call to order. The place is scetchy and dark. I would not recommend going only to pick up the food. And the service, well it's COVID and not that great when you have to stand by a metal door and get your food handed thru a hole by the bottom of the door. But the great think about this place is there delicious Americanized Chinese food, because let's face it the more sauce they put the better and the more portion they give you the better. I was excited to come and eat here seeing it had 4.5 stars but amazing disappointed. The waiter started off great got us our food pretty quickly and his service was awesome for the moment but food was so spicy i just paid and didn't even spend five minutes there afterwords. all the food was either over salted or too spicy! They were literally just under 2min from closing. This is nothing like other "Chinese" places where you just pick your items from pre cooked batches. Everything is cooked fresh to order. From the outside it looks like a hole in the wall. But the inside is completely clean and modern looking. The food is fantastic I could see why they are so popular. Best Chinese food around! Everything is fresh and made to order. We have tried the orange chicken, beef broccoli, fried rice and chow mien. All were so delicious. They serve big portions or family style so it is a lot of food for one person. We have also tried their smaller plates like the chicken teriyaki bowls and we were not disappointed. I am not exaggerating when I say that this is the best dining experience I have ever had in my lifetime. This is, without a doubt, my favorite restaurant of all time. Who would have thought, in Montebello? Being Chinese and living in the Asian mecca that is the San Gabriel Valley, I have had my fair share of Chinese food in the area, but none can hold a candle to this place. At first, the place looks very unassuming from the outside - my girlfriend and I were not sure if we wanted to go in after parking out in front, but we decided to after reading the stellar reviews on Yelp. And boy, were we glad we did. The service is exceptional, and the man who works the front is extremely nice, in a genuine manner. We ordered orange chicken and egg foo-young. The orange chicken was the best we have ever tried, period. The pieces are perfectly breaded and crispy, glazed with the sweet and sour sauce. Unlike other restaurants where some pieces are soggy and some are crispy, the orange chicken here had a uniform texture that was crunchy and accented by the sauce. The egg foo young was delicious and savory, and prepared fresh. You can tell by the bouncy and fluffy texture of the egg and the aroma of the vegetables within. This is not like other restaurants who have theirs reheated. One downside of this is that the food will take a little longer to come out, but you will be rewarded with fresh ingredients and delicious food once it does. Half way through our meal, the owner/cook came out and chatted with us. Extremely gracious and apologized for the food taking a little longer to arrive. Eating here isn't like eating at a restaurant - it's like being invited into someone's home where they cook comfort food. No pretense, no frills. Just an overall relaxing and delicious experience. Very good food that comes in healthy serving sizes, good prices, and good service. Tried a teriyaki chicken bowl for 2.95, it was quite delicious. Next time i'll try the kung pao chicken bowl, that was 3.95. Got a pair of egg rolls for like 1-2 bucks, those were awesome, definitely a must to finish off the meal. I am never disappointed here. The service is excellent and the food is even better. This is the go to place if you want a smoothie or slushie (which are about $4). I prefer the slushie which always tastes like fresh fruit and the bolba is sweet. The prices are great and you get a good portion of food. I would recommend the pineapple slushie and the chicken chow mein. Forgot to mention how awesome their cakes are! I'm not a cake person but I'll take one of their fruit sponge cakes anytime. I loved this place. A small Chinese takeout place thats open late at night and has a friendly and welcoming staff. While we were waiting for our order to get ready, one of the ladies in the staff served us complimentary Bao. It was delicious, and a kind gesture. The only problem with this place is that they do not have parking (at least I did not see any), but we did not have a problem because we picked up food late at night. The orange chicken tasted way too much like an actual orange, I feel that I was delivered a cut up orange on top of rice. The teriyaki chicken had absolutely no teriyaki sauce whatsoever. I just got plain chicken and rice with a side of dry broccoli. I dipped my chicken in the spicy oil sauce just to give it some flavor. I burned my taste buds in order to punish myself for spending $28.79 on this meal. The beef chow mein tasted like beef top ramen. I could have made this at home and it would have tasted better. The B grade at the door almost made me think twice of ordering from here. I ordered the vegetable chow mein, orange chicken and chicken Teriyaki. The chow mein had way too much garlic, I could see the mashed garlic in almost every bite. The orange chicken was too soft for my liking and lacked flavor.
