    Oreo strawberry filled
    Jennifer P.

This place is pretty good, we ordered the Nutella stuffed churros and the strawberry stuffed oreo churros. I will say, the Nutella one is probably the star (can you go wrong with Nutella?) and i did enjoy it but not sure if I would come back. 1. Their batter is good but the churro isn't crisp. At least not the 2 orders we got, the churro was soft and doughy which I liked but the outside didn't have that crisp I was hoping for 2. Skip the oreo. It tastes nothing like oreo. They just kinda roll the powder around the churro and adds nothing 3. Strawberry filled is strawberry jam. I should've asked before I ordered it but no one came out to greet us or answer any questions. I get that you have a kiosk but customer service is still needed imo (like other places do...). Here, we saw no one until we placed the order and got our churros and even then, we had almost 0 interaction. Probably wouldn't visit again and won't recommend. Parking is general parking underground for the whole plaza.

I came here with a friend right after watching a movie in the nearby theater. The churros are otherworldly. Neither in Venezuela, nor in Spain would you find better churros (I'd know, I've been to both countries). The prices are incredibly reasonable too. The side toppings are varied, caramel and sweetened condensed milk are the two that stood out to me the most but you can also go for Nutella, amongst others. 10/10.

It's been a while since I've been back to Street Churros and I'm glad they stood the test of time considering the turnover at Atlantic Times Square. Interior has changed since my last visit. They have two kiosks and a few chairs, but no tables. Interior is small, but great for bites on the go. After placing my order on the kiosk, the staff texted me when it was ready. Street Churros is the perfect snack for something light to satisfy any sweet craving. After ordering the Honey Nut Churros and the OG Churros, I think it's safe to say I'm a basic girl and prefer the OG Churros. The Honey Nut is powdery and has a peanut flavor. The OG is pure cinnamon goodness. I'm glad I revisited an oldie but goodie!

delicious churros. They serve savory food, coffee, and a variety of drinks in addition to having a wide choice of flavors for their churros. The regular and Oreo churros that we ordered were crispy on the exterior and soft on the inside, and they weren't overly sugary. Because they serve the churros hot and fresh, which I enjoy, there may be a wait of more than ten minutes. This location has tables and chairs outside and is similar to a hangout for those who are hungry food.

Nice, clean, quaint. What's the point of all this without indoor table seating?

Good churros, decent ice cream, shit coffee (no lie, their beans are roasted out of flavor and/or whoever's using the espresso machine is not trained to operate it correctly). McDonald's has a better Americano. I think the price is reasonable enough for being next to AMC, expensive-ass rent in the plaza, and for 2024. I still like Churros Don Abel (fresher), but maybe it's because of the street vibes. The workers look like they don't want to be there or talk/explain the menu :( This place is not a bad alternative.

If you really are in the mood for a sweet that's a little less traditional this is the place for you! Street churros has very good looking desserts! Located next to the movie theatre I imagine it would be a great post movie treat. The soft serve ice cream it comes with is really good! The churros themselves are ok...they don't taste as fresh as some I've had but they're trying!! We went on a Thursday night and they were pretty busy. You order at a kiosk but the girls working there were very friendly despite being super busy. It's a little pricey but a fun treat!

Ever since I watched The Brothers Sun, I've been fiending for churros, and my usual churro supplier - Costco - no longer serves churros. The struggle is real! My boyfriend has to hear my nonstop churro complaining so he takes me to Street Churros after dinner. They are located in the Atlantic Time Square in Monterey Park. There is a parking garage with plenty of spots but the flow is questionable. Drive cautiously if you decide to come here. The shop itself is located right next to the AMC, so it was fairly easy to locate. When we arrived, there were no staff in sight. Just a menu board and a tablet for self ordering. Had I known I would have just ordered online in advanced because it will take a while to make these fresh churros. My boyfriend and I shared the Raspberry Filled Churros ($8.50). We waited quite some time for these churros to be ready. The worker just put it on the table. Didn't say anything, didn't annouce a name associated with the order, didn't smile. ZERO SERVICE. The order came with 3 churros but if you combined the length, it's basically one churro cut into 3 parts. The raspberry filling was tart and complimented well with the sweetness of the churro. It was a bit messy but super tasty to eat. My churro craving is achieved. I can see myself coming back if I'm in the area craving a churro... but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. Or if I find a new supplier that's more personable I probably rather give them my business.

Located in the Atlantic Times Square shopping center it's right next to the AMC theater and Grams! The place is small, there's only a few chairs to sit on that were placed on the side. There's also a bench where their logo is. Pretty simple you order at the kiosk. The churros are made to order. We got the vanilla soft serve with the caramel drizzle, one with the cinnamon churro and the honey nut churro. It's a dollar extra if you want a dipping sauce for it. The churros were so good, crunchy on the outside and soft inside. I thought the honey nut churro was an interesting flavor it tasted too powdery for my liking. It doesn't look like a lot, but I would say I could have shared it with my friend. Overall super good and definitely recommend if you're craving some churros. There's some street parking or you can park in the underground parking lot.

Pretty solid churros! There is a wide variety of dipping sauces and fillings that you can choose from ranging from Nutella, strawberry, cream cheese and several others. They were piping hot and delicious. Crispy on the outside and soft and gooey on the inside. I ended up getting the original stick churros and got Nutella on the side as a dip and it was fantastic. 7 sticks in a cup for an order for around 8 bucks is not bad! I'm coming back next time to try the various different filling churros and the loop churros. The Oreo cream and the cream cheese ones look amazing!

We walked in 30 min before closing time. The place is very cute and clean. There are two kiosks to order from and it's pretty straight forward. I got the matcha tiramisu latte and my boyfriend got a cinnamon churro ice cream with strawberry drizzle. That was probably my favorite matcha yet! And the churro was warm and crunchy. Definitely coming back!

Got the ice cream churro. The menu pic have chocolate ice cream but at the time of our visit they only have vanilla, green tea, or green tea swirl. Kinda bummed but we ended up with green tea swirl. The ice cream by itself is subpar and melts so fast. But combination of churro with the ice cream is surprisingly so delicious. They also have espresso machine. Iced americano is pretty solid.

Classic churro w/vanilla ice cream and a chocolate drizzle.

Customer service : welp we used a tablet cause there was no one around . Churros do take a couple min but damn ! 10/10 Nutella stuffed churro : very well done warm and fluffy inside and crunchy outside . 8/10 Traditional Churro : honestly would have gotten a 10/10 until I tried the stuffed . Crunchy great! The atmosphere is cute plenty of room to sit inside and chill . Parking is a little tricky there's a lot on the side . A little pricey BUT! Worth it!! Recommend!!! Best Churros I've had so far !

These churros were not bad. They came out very crispy and coated in cinnamon sugar and had a doughy texture on the inside. I asked for a side of Nutella but honestly didn't need it.

Service is efficient and our drinks came out decently quickly. This was around lunch time on a Sunday. As with almost every new drink or coffee place, minimalist aesthetic and a place for people to study and catch up I suppose. Wouldn't say it's the most unique. We got the: 1) Hojicha Latte: -We got this iced and you have the option to sweeten it with simple syrup or something else. We got this with a black sesame flavor and just the standard milk that it came with. -Not too sweet, but the taste of the sesame or even the hojicha can be a bit stronger as we've had similar drinks to this that were more appealing. 2) Iced Chocolate Milk: -I mean you can't really mess this up to be honest. It's mixed well and doesn't taste scathingly sweet like a bottled chocolate milk. My boyfriend got a no sugar coffee here and it still tasted pretty sweet (like unadjusted Starbucks sweet) and it was just tossed into my chocolate milk because he couldn't stomach it. Overall, it's just okay. I'm not really a coffee person, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

The biggest surprise was the Kimchi Croissant, which has honestly become my favorite pastry in the SGV. The croissant was flaky and buttery, with bacon, a soft jammy egg yolk, and just enough kimchi to add a little spice and acidity without overpowering everything else. It's a combination I wasn't sure would work, but it really does. I also had one of their signature cream puffs, and it's easy to see why they're known for them. They offer some interesting flavors like Biscoff Crunch, Taro Salted Egg Yolk, and black sesame hojicha which are a nice change from the usual vanilla and chocolate options. For drinks, I tried the Pistachio Cloud Top Matcha and the Black Sesame Cloud Top. Both were well balanced and not overly sweet. The pistachio matcha was my favorite of the two. The staff were friendly and patient, even though there was a steady flow of customers and plenty of people taking their time deciding what to order. One thing to keep in mind is that they do sell out of popular items fairly early, so if you have something specific in mind, it's worth going earlier in the day. Overall, Browned is a solid bakery with creative pastries, good drinks, and friendly service. It's easy to see why it's become such a popular spot in San Gabriel.

DUBAI PISTACHIO CHOCOLATE CROISSANT Rich and very pistachio-forward flavor! This was done well! Tasted like dubai chocolate in croissant form. However, the croissant was not as crispy and was on the softer side. Crispy kataifi on top brought that crispy texture. Savory unsweetened pistachio custard. The sweetness came from the chocolate drizzle over the croissant and the kataifi. Overall, enjoyed it! CHOCOLATE PECAN PRESSED CROISSANT Crispy, crunchy, flaky, buttery, caramelized layers! It does remind you of a flattened more crispier, buttery palmier and maybe even a mille feuille! The plain pressed croissant tasted like caramelized sugar with a buttery flakiness from the croissant. The chocolate pecan side was delicious with dark chocolate and crunchy pecans on top of that buttery, flaky, crispy pressed croissant! Recommend! 8 PCS ASSORTED MINI CHOUX SET You choose what flavors you want. I chose the following. Black Sesame Hoijicha - Strong hojicha flavor right off the bat! I barely taste the black sesame, except when you eat the black sesame paste at the top of the cream puff. When you bite into the whole cream puff, you only get the hojicha flavor. Very good and if you're a hojicha lover, you won't regret getting this! Taro Salted Egg Yolk - A new flavor that was added recently. You can taste the taro on top and the salted egg yolk on the bottom when eaten separately. But when eaten together, depending on where your tongue hits, you get more taro or salted yolk. Choux pastry is crunchy. This was delicious and definitely a repeat order too! I asked the owner and they will continue with this new flavor for now. They did not have the Koyamaen Matcha, when I purchased it via HotPlate. They ran out of it when I went to pick-up at the bakery, so they offered a refund or to replace with another mini choux. They brought back the Maple Pecan with Dark Chocolate Coating as a temporary replacement for the Koyamaen Matcha. But I opted for another Taro Salted Egg Yolk. Classic 64% Chocolate, Lemon Delight, Signature Biscoff Crunch were my other mini choux orders. All consistently delicious and done well. Please see my previous review on these flavors. RASPBERRY, ROSE & LYCHEE CROIFFIN This new edition was not part of Hotplate. I had to order it separately in-store. But wow, this was absolutely delightful! The cream had a pink color with swirls of raspberry compote and there were pieces of real lychee inside! The rose flavor was not overpowering, but complemented both the raspberry cream. The croiffin was flaky, crispy and buttery! This is my new favorite, very good and well done! I will continue to order this as long as it is available! JAPANESE BLACK SESAME CREAM TOP Love all things black sesame. So had to order this! This took a bit of wait time, much longer than expected. This was a simple latte style iced coffee with black sesame cream top. You can taste the coffee, but there was also milk in it, so it was a milkier coffee. Once you mix the black sesame cream top, all you can taste is the black sesame. So yes, it is a strong black sesame flavor in this drink. It was good, but not great to order for the second time. ONLINE ORDER Ordered via Hotplate.com. This has been the easiest way to order and pick-up. Super easy and not fussy at all! Once you order once via Hotplate.com, they give you the option for drop alerts via text when Browned goes live for future orders. You can also order directly via website as well. Make sure you have your confirmation email and order number ready for pick-up. CUSTOMER SERVICE Excellent service! They forgot to give me part of my online order and immediately called me and texted me making sure I won't leave without it! The owner and patisserie chef apologized, yet so relieved I did not leave without my order. She was so sweet and kind! I chatted with her as she was packing up my order. INDOOR + OUTDOOR SEATING AVAILABLE No seats for large groups. PARKING Free parking is available at The One Residential in basement P1. You can see Browned straight ahead as you arrive from the parking elevator. Personally, I recommend street parking. If you arrive before noon, there is free street parking right outside of The One Residential. It is much easier to drive out and also the parking garage is very small, dark and very narrow to drive through.
