Well it's not the poshest place, and at first look, the buffet was total sensory overload. But the food was good- far better than what I'd been expecting for a buffet. There are several vegetarian options including chow mein, really good green beans, fresh corn and green onion pancakes, to name a few. There is a sushi and dessert section in the buffet as well. . Service was mediocre in the private party room.

Entrance with handicap bars for those who need them.

1st off... This is officially my 500th REVIEW! There are so many random Chinese buffets all around the world, but this particular 1 stands out to me because it brings back so many memories of when my mom was still alive while fighting breast and bone cancer. It was 1 of the very last places we ate together as a family back in the early 2000s and I can't help but think about her every time I come to this place. Aside from all that sentimental biased-ness, this China Buffet legit has a great amount of quality and choices for a business that's been around longer than some of the newer spots around here and everywhere. The parking isn't extremely bad because it's huge and it's shared with other businesses. It can get very very understandably crowded during the lunch and weekend rushes. For less than $20, I love coming here during their cheaper lunch times. Fridays, weekends and holidays is when they charge OVER $20, but with more food choices, of course. ALL their food is pretty damn good. Even though they don't have room for a hibachi guy like other places, I dig how they do the hibachi menus in the kitchen and put out the grilled chicken, thin steaks and grilled fish near their excellent choices of sushi! Now... their restroom situation is such a toss up because for the men's, there's only 1 freakin' toilet and the rest are urinals! It absolutely sucks when you eat all that food and you legit gotta go (which is a lot of their customers) and you can't promptly go because there's always that 1 guy just lolligaging on his damn cell phone instead of just taking the Browns to the Super Bowl, dropping off the kids and going on right away for others to do the same! That's like my only gripe along with the regular toss up of if you're going to a nice server who actually has somewhat of a decent personality to mix with at least decent customer service. There ARE servers who are really nice, but it's hard to tell who really stands out positively. ALL IN ALL, I love this place. It isn't perfect, but it feels like home to me. Need to go Number 2 after all that great food still? Do what I do and digest all that greatness and play Harold & Kumar BATTLESHITS at the Best Buy next to this place! LOLOLOL!!! Stay blessed! Love and miss you always, mom!!

I've been coming to this Chinese Restaurant for many decades and decided to give- high remarks both in the vast variety of dining choices along with the attentiveness of their staff and a very good ambiance of the very large establishment- which includes 2 dining rooms along with a separate room for both overflow and/or special parties/occasions! Again the food quality is very good- my personal favorites are besides the chow mein, fried shrimps, etc.- are the heavenly sugar donuts. Remember for example if your a senior or not- would you rather pay like $10+ at a burger place or a bit more and really get full- If time permits- I'd go here. I didn't post any food pictures but I did post current pricing and drink prices. I look forward to a return visit.

Came here for our first time, little wait in the beginning since only one person charging you. The food was pretty good, was worth the price for the options. We did like the teriyaki chicken that's not pictured and the salmon not pictured as well. It was busy and only down fall is bathroom only two stalls with tons of people. It's not extremely loud people are to themselves which was nice. We would def go back.

This is one of my top favorite buffet to eat in Torrance! I came here to eat with my aunt and her boyfriend and I was already full after one plate. The waiters greeted us and their service is a top-notch on my dictionary. When we needed help, they assisted us always. The ambiance is amazing, I loved the sitting area because of how visually pleasant the decor was. My aunt would tell me that the technique in buffet is to eat food that make you less full before eating the foods that make you full..but I ended up eating a lot because the food was delicious. The wontons are my favorite, very creamy and filling. The kebab was fresh but there was little flavor into it. The plate was very tasty and I thank all of the staff for the delicious food and atmosphere.

The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, but it has a really nice, cozy decor with cool Japanese characters on the walls. We went with their popular tempura combo paired with cold udon, and also grabbed a shrimp tempura roll. Everything was amazing! These guys absolutely know what they are doing when it comes to tempura, it's always perfectly light, crispy, and delicious. The service was also fantastic, super efficient, quick, and friendly from start to finish. Plus, having a parking lot in the back makes coming here totally stress-free. People talk about waiting 45 minutes to over an hour just to get a table, especially on weekends, so I decided to come during lunch instead. Luckily, the place was almost empty, which made for an easy visit. Going in, my expectations were high. Since I'm allergic to shrimp, I let the staff know and ordered the beef bowl and tempura combo instead. At around $20, I wasn't expecting cheap fast food, but I was expecting something that justified the price. The tempura was easily the highlight of the meal. It was light, crispy, and fried well, especially paired with the dipping sauce. If there's one reason I'd give this place any credit, it's the tempura sauce. The chicken tempura, however, was a different story. The coating was crispy, but the chicken itself was incredibly bland. It tasted like plain boiled chicken that happened to get dipped in tempura batter. The beef bowl was even more disappointing. Honestly, it reminded me of a Yoshinoya beef bowl--except it cost more than twice as much and came with a noticeably smaller portion. That's a comparison I never expected to make at a restaurant with this kind of reputation. The service didn't do much to elevate the experience either. Considering how slow it was during lunch, I expected a little more attentiveness, but it felt pretty average from start to finish. As for the atmosphere...it was fine. Nothing particularly memorable, nothing that made me think, "I need to come back." Maybe I ordered the wrong items. That's always possible. But based on this visit, I just don't understand the hype. The food was decent--not terrible--but nowhere near worth the long waits, the price, or the reputation it seems to have built. If you happen to be nearby and there's no line, sure, give it a try. But if you're planning to wait an hour because everyone says it's a must-visit, I honestly think you can skip it and won't feel like you missed out. Buyer please be aware.

What would have made this a top notch experience would be once of those semi-private booths with the lower seating that some places have, but this felt like some places we've been to in Japan as well. The only thing I didn't love was that I spent around $400 here (LOL), but we all had a great time so that was fine. Food-wise, we tried the following - Gobo Chips - a friend recommended these to us. He said eating these when drinking will prevent hangovers, headaches, any negative effects, etc. I thought it was cap, but all that beer and sake, I felt great the rest of the evening and morning despite just a few hours of sleep. Large serving of these chips, nicely seasoned, thin sliced, great texture. Even my daughter enjoyed these. Uni & US Wagyu Beef Sashimi - how decadent! Very flavorful. A bit too much sauce for me, but otherwise good. Salmon Truffle Carpaccio - this was one of my fave small plates. Fresh sashimi with ikura. YUM!! Chicken & Green Onion Skewers - Pretty good chicken. My daughter even ate the onions without realizing. Amazing. Chicken Karaage - the daughter's favorite! Goes very well with the beer too. Assorted Tempura - nice assortment of shrimp and veggies, with the tempura dipping sauce. Ribeye Ponzu Steak - beautifully cooked and flavorful. We started with the above, and the food came at various times, but the waits weren't long so we appreciated that. We were still hungry, so we ordered some more stuff - Premium Sashimi - min of 2 orders so we did that. It was good, but I expected a lot more for premium sashimi. It looked more of a single portion, but beautifully presented. Chazuke - we got some for us all - both salmon and mentaiko. Best dish to end a meal at an izakaya. Warm dashi with the riceball in there, seaweed, topped with either the salmon or mentaiko. Subtle flavors, but really delicious. We then looked at a dessert menu and decided to go elsewhere for some sweets. Would def come back to try their pressed sushi, and if we weren't all picky eaters, we'd try their set meal as well.
