    Maki Boat (5 Special Rolls)
    Lupita M.

I love Toyo sushi! Ive been ordering it since a couple of years ago and it's always so fresh and never disappoints. We usually get the maki boat which is pretty good price for 5 delicious rolls. My favorite ones are the baked salmon and the spicy tuna. Their salads are good too, the mango avocado one is very fresh and they serve it very well. The service is very nice and I would definitely recommend!

Love love Toyo! This is my go to "fast" sushi spot. And I only say fast because services is usually fast and always very friendly. The location is great too as it had a lot of parking nearby. They have a lot of tables so the wait is rarely long here. I usually just walk in and am seated. I have also had this place on Doordash and food always arrives fresh and still hot. The staff is great too, we really enjoy coming here.

Great spot for lunch break or cute date night. Great fresh food and fast service. I come all the time and everytime is great

I tried taking the pieces out but I should not be doing this waste of money. Very disappointed

Loved this place always good but this time the taste was off. my sushi inside the shrimp came with the outside shell.

    Poke tuna mild

The food was great! We stopped to eat there before we went to see a performer at the VIEW that is located next door. It was a Saturday night. It's a small restaurant but a large menu. We ordered the poke tuna and the crispy tuna. That was enough food for two of us.

This is definitely my, " go to" for Sushi whenever me & the hubby crave sushi rolls or the sushi boat. The food is so good & the service is excellent. My kids love the Bugogi & rice. Last night was date night & I was craving their lobster baked roll. Yummmmm!!!!! My husband's choice is always something with Sashimi, which never disappoints. Delicious & fresh every time.

    We ordered the Vermont boat!

Amazing sushi!!! So fresh and delicious!! Probably one of the best sushi restaurants we ever had!! My son and I decided to come here after he had to go to Cal state Dominguez hills to drop off some paperwork. We yelped this place and found this gem!! If I could give 10 stars I would!! Highly recommend!! Service was excellent and very friendly! Restaurant was clean and parking was easy!! We loved it!

We liked eels and had a dragon roll and unagi avocado bowl for lunch. The food was tasty with good quality ingredients, and just enough for lunch. Prompt service and food was prepared and served quickly. All and all, everything was pretty good but just not quite enough for 5-stars. Clean and relaxing environment, ample parking.

A friend of mine recommended this place to me while ago. And finally today we went together. The service was very good. And a salads and fish was very fresh. I started with a few items and they were all delicious, so we kept ordering for more and more :) I will definitely come here often since my kids love the rolls and sushi.

Spoon House is known for their Japanese-style pastas, so we got the Japanese-style clam sauce with mushrooms as well as the Japanese-style cod-roe and butter sauce with squid and uni. I was really impressed with how clean the flavors of both pastas were! I ate so much and never felt overwhelmed as I usually do with pastas. The seafood also tasted really fresh and the squid was buttery soft and not chewy or tough. They also have $1 salads which had a tasty, classic Japanese dressing and fresh greens. You just can't find any food for $1 these days, so the $1 pricepoint was really surprising! I also love that they gave a huge serving of bread and butter as an appetizer. The staff was super kind and accommodating, and the restaurant is very cute and retro. They have a small parking lot in the back, as well as easy street parking. Overall, I'm already really looking forward to coming back here and trying more of their dishes. Or getting the same thing because it was just that good!

Azuma in Gardena is one of those places where I already know what I'm ordering before I even sit…read moredown. The teriyaki beef dinner is my must have every time, and it has yet to disappoint. I always order the beef medium rare, and they consistently get the temperature right. That reliability honestly stands out to me because I have been to actual steak restaurants where the doneness can be hit or miss. At Azuma, I can confidently ask for medium rare and trust that it will come out exactly that way without having to order it rarer just to compensate. The teriyaki sauce is also really well balanced. It has enough sweetness to give you that classic teriyaki flavor without becoming overly sugary or masking the taste of the beef. One of my favorite parts of the meal is actually toward the end, when the white rice has soaked up both the teriyaki sauce and the savory juices from the steak. Mixing everything together makes even the remaining rice incredibly flavorful. The macaroni salad is another pleasant surprise. I'm normally not much of a macaroni salad person, but theirs is one I actually enjoy and willingly finish. Add a little of the teriyaki sauce to it and it gets even better. The shrimp fried rice is also worth ordering. They are very generous with the shrimp, and these are actually large, substantial pieces rather than the tiny shrimp you often see tossed into fried rice. The rice is mixed with egg and green onions as well, making it savory, satisfying, and substantial enough to enjoy on its own. Overall, Azuma continues to be a reliable favorite for me. The perfectly cooked teriyaki beef is easily the star, but the balanced sauce, solid sides, and generous shrimp fried rice make the whole meal satisfying. At this point, ordering the teriyaki beef dinner here is less of a decision and more of a tradition.
