Wonderful place! I met my dad for lunch here for the first time and we enjoyed it very much! Great food and good service.

It's sad when chinese food from a restaurant tastes worse than frozen chinese from a grocery store. The orange chicken sauce was terrible and nearly unedible. The crab Rangoon was burned almost no cheese in it. I wish I had good things to say, but even the to packaging leaked all over. read more

Wonderful tasting food and the owner is so nice. The staff were energetic and made our first visit so much fun. We were excited to find out that they have free delivery to our neighborhood. Favorite place to go! The staff is always friendly and joking. Makes me smile to come in! Food is amazing and actually legit. No longer am I going to Panda Express when I have this amazing place. My only complaint would be no walnut shrimp! I hope one day y'all would add this to your list but until then, anything on the menu is my fav. read more

Since the new owner took over a while back the food has gotten measurably better. If you call for pickup (which we usually do) there's a really good chance they'll ask you to hold, leave the phone set down and forget, but calling back usually works. Timing is pretty good too, 10min means 10min. The portion sizes are huge, the lo mein togo must weigh 3lbs and is perfect for multiple meals. read more

This is one of the best Chinese restaurants in castle rock. The food was very good! The ambiance is great and the service is almost impeccable. It was very clean and tidy, the wait times were mild and we got free desert! I don't know why but we got mango mousse, It was delicious! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes Chinese food. They also had a very wide variety of food, you would probably not have to settle for something you don't like. read more

We have been here on several occasions and have never been disappointed. Their food is made from fresh meat and veggies- not frozen. We enjoy the Happy Family and Kung Pao Combination. The owner always greet us and make us feel like family! The best in Castle Rock! read more

I am extremely disappointed in this place, my husband and I went for the first time a few days ago and my husband found a chunk of hair in his food... no joke, like the hair you pull out of a shower drain and we got a simple "I'm sorry" THATS IT!! and that came from our server ( very nice man) the manager was standing at the counter and didn't acknowledge us at all! read more

We tried China Cafe. We found a fish bone in the pork fried rice. This can only mean the same unwashed cookware is used for different dishes. Not good! Also, during our time at the restaurant an employee and the owner argued in the same room we were dining in. The employee quit and walked out. Very unprofessional. We will not return. read more

After reading the reviews here, I decided to give this place a try. It's solid for Castle Rock. I have no complaints and will definitely order again. We ordered cashew chicken, combo fried rice, egg rolls, wonton soup and crab rangoon. It was all surprisingly tasty. As others have said, the ingredients were all very fresh. The meat was well trimmed. The sauces tasted right. Is it worth a drive from Denver? Nah. But, on a week night when you don't feel like cooking, it's a step above the other Chinese take out options in Castle Rock, for sure. read more

I ordered a chef's special: the sesame combination. The proteins were incredibly dry to the point they were almost impossible to eat. Additionally, I placed an order for delivery and they didn't include rice. Seems like a basic component to me. I called to confirm and was told rice should have been included. The egg drop soup and cheese wontons were good. The sesame combination is literally going in the trash. I've eaten there before and was impressed. The food was decent. The lunch portions are smaller than your average Chinese restaurants and the prices higher than other surrounding Chinese restaurants. The prices on the menu are not accurate either. One of the dishes my brother ordered was two dollars more than what the menu stated. When I asked the waiter about the bill, he didn't offer to give me the price advertised. That's bad business practice. Despite this, the staff was friendly. Smaller portions and higher prices will keep me from returning. read more

Heard this restaurant went under new management earlier this year and we are very pleased with the quality of the food experienced today. Chicken and vegetables tasted fresh and no preservative aftertaste. Brown rice is great and you have flexibility to order white, brown or fried. Look forward to trying more dishes. read more

I had lunch at the China Cafe, located in Strip mall opposite Safeway in Castle Rock and brought home carry out for my husband , this is by far the worst, most inedible Chinese food either of us has ever tasted, the beef is grizzle that would not go down my disposal same with chicken or whatever it is. My husb's Mongolia beef and my chicken with cashews that had 2 cashews were horrible, our server did not ck on my drink or even once ask if Everything was OK I would give it no stars if allowed I read this was East Coast chinese, but being from the Wash,DC area I never had Chinese like this horrible read more

we recently moved to Castle Rock and wanted to try a new Chinese place for take-out. We're Gluten free, so it can often be a challenge to find gf friendly places. The woman who answered the phone was very nice, but had to ask about what their gf were (which is fine - instead of guessing). The woman who replied back to her "nothing fried". I personally would ensure if you have problem with being "glutened", I would ask about each dish separately. We tried the Beef and Veg, Thai, and Chicken Drunken Noodle. We were happy with them all entrees and delivery was much earlier than stated. The only complaint would be the beef and vegetables could use some more food, there wasn't much in our container ... but maybe it will be better next time. We plan on returning and trying more options. Maybe they'll make some gluten free Gen Tso's (it is done with rice flour some places). then we may be there every week, LOL read more

Really good food. We got the Kung pao chicken, Mongolian beef, and wonton soup. Everything came out very quickly and was very yummy. Portions were really good had plenty for lunch the next day. Josh was our server and was very friendly and attentive. We would totally come back. read more

We ordered our food for takeout tonight. There were 5 of us and we all agreed that this was the worst Chinese food that we've ever had. I don't know where the people who gave this place good reviews have eaten in the past, but they obviously must not get out much. Compared to anywhere we've been across the country this was horrendous. The lemon chicken was a battered and fried chicken breast that was way overcooked and was leather tough. Along with that was a side of rice and some slop they call lemon sauce--that's it; no vegetables. The chicken and broccoli was scary....it tasted as bad as it looked. It was absolutely bland and the kids wouldn't even eat it. Fast food Chinese food in the mall is 10x better. Also, when we looked at our receipt, the prices for each entrée were $3.00 more than what is listed on the menu! And the prices on the menu are already way out of line, as noted in my previous review. Our only hope is that we don't wake up with food poisoning tonight. read more

The only reason I gave this 3 stars is because you can't do anything wrong with white rice. For what I paid, the orange chicken was tough, and far from tender, very disappointing. This is a good Chinese restaurant. Definitely better than the other choices in Castle Rock. As another reviewer said, it's not worth driving from Denver or Colorado Springs just to eat here, but if you happen to be in - or you live in - Castle Rock, then this is your best choice for Chinese. It's clean, there is a wide variety on the menu, the food is very good, and the prices are average for this type of cuisine. Best Chinese food in Castle Rock & Parker. So many Chinese food restaurants charge too much for a meal made with mystery meat or very little meat. Yes it's your standard décor but it's cute and clean. We live close by and order takeout often, the portion sizes are large and the food is consistently GOOD. 2 Times now I have tried to pick up a carry out order. I called ahead 40 minutes to pick up our order, thinking this would be plenty of time for China Cafe to make our order. NOT the case, I arrive and was told it would be longer and that the order was not ready. I expressed my concern, only to be told by the young son of the owner " WE have other people that have been waiting for their food". DO not go to this restaurant!
