China Cafe offers Chinese Cuisine in a buffet style that includes: soups, rice, noodles: a. seafood: fried, boiled, baked. Fresh shushi rolls and hibachi style dishes. b. Chicked: seasoned fried wings and buffalo styles wings along with chicken & vegetables dishes. c. Beef & veggies dishes d. meat & vegg egg rolls & pork dumplings e. desserts: fresh fruit, cakes & ice cream. Take out orders can be purchased by the pound. The establishment offers discounts to senior, military and essential service workers, and they have prices for kids. The restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly and accomodations, the food is delicious and reasonably priced.

This place is a joke. I came here with my three children. My 10 year old, 4 year old and 2 year old. They wanted to charge me adult price for my ten year old because apparently she's "tall" so child prices are based on your child's height instead of actual age...I can't help that my daughter happens to be tall like her parents. She is indeed 10 and was going to have to pay adult prices while eating child portions. This is a stupid policy and I left not because i couldn't afford the adult price but because i refuse to patronize an establishment with such an idiotic rule. I'll gladly spend my money elsewhere. Gladly.

How can one say anything about a restaurant that seams to have it all when it comes to oriental cuisine. To look in from the outside is a treat in itself. So much food and such a variety of tastes. Great appetizers to start out with. It generally takes at least two plates for the first go round, then you go back for seconds, things you couldn't put on your plate the first time, then comes the third time, which are generally ones favorites, and then maybe desert. They have a great variety of seafood from mussels to oysters to cold boiled shrimp to crawfish and then some. Many types of Sushi. And don't forget their soups and salads. don't forget to go back to the Hibachi Grill, just go pick out what you want to eat, and the chef will cook it for you. While you are waiting, go fill up those plates with all the wonderful dishes to go along with your main course. If you haven't been here before, you are really in for a treat. I give this place 4 stars, great food and great service.

    Great kid choices :)

Eating them in as a roll vessel is simply well... magical. I enjoyed these and almost ordered more. The Andra chicken curry was absolutely delicious as well. I enjoyed it and was so stuffed with our other items that I had to save it and eat at home. The portions were great to share or eat for one. My kids 5&7 also enjoyed the kids menu and licked their plates clean up...a rare occurrence. Any place that has momos gets on my list to come back, especially if they are great like they were here! I'll be coming back in no time.

The biryani packed a good amount of spice, which I personally loved. The chicken tikka masala was decent but pretty standard. The paneer dish, though, was definitely unusual and had a flavor that felt a bit off on its own, but it worked better when paired with rice. Prices were a bit on the higher side, especially for a more casual, hole in the wall kind of place. Our waitress said we should try more unique dishes next time. Overall, it's a good restaurant with an interesting, fusion menu. I'd come back to try other dishes and see what else stands out.

It's in a shopping center so there's plenty of parking even if you don't get one of the spots up front. It wasn't too busy when I arrived. I'm sure since I arrived after buffet hours. The buffet ends at 3pm but there's lots of room in the buffet area for tons of options. The restaurant is clean and pretty spacious inside. The young lady at the counter greeted me warmly and kindly rang me up for my rasmalai I added to my order upon arrival. The chicken curry was good. Not amazing or the best I ever had but I would eat it again. It came with rice. I'm always surprised when Indian restaurants charge extra for rice. The potato and peas samosas were big, crispy on the outside and nice and soft with potatoey goodness on the inside. They were absolute perfection when dipped into the tartly sweet chutney sauce. I concluded my meal with the rasmalai dessert that tasted of rose, condensed milk and pistachios. I just wished it had a little more bits of pistachio.

I'm not a fan of them for several reasons but the main one being that food sitting out for anyone to cough over, touch, etc just doesnt sit well with me. But that's not the biggest issue here because the food would have to be edible and desirable first before you would be bothered by earing food people touched or coughed on. As a foodie, to not think anything was worth eating is saying alot. Much of what I saw visually was unappealing. The best part of the buffet was probably the salad bar and the fried fish and shrimp. I didn't eat a salad because I wanted my money's worth so I piled my plate with fried shrimp, fish, and jalapenos. Decent but I strive to not eat a whole plate of fried food. To help with my guilt, I saw some roasted zucchini and made a meal of it. Saving my appetite for this meal was my least favorite flex because calories count and my motto is I don't mind them counting if its worth it. This meal was not at all. Maybe a decade ago, Golden Corral had pretty good food, but even the dessert was subpar. Prime example; the ice cream machines produced soupy remnants of what could have been ice cream. Everything could have been better with a little time and attention to detail and presentation. Additionally, this location is definetly ran down and needs much TLC, but we didn't take it out on our servers, who tried to attend to our refills and need for condiments, napkins, and utensils for our party of 15 plus. Therefore we pooled together and left a generous tip but this place is neither Golden or one you want to Corral at for any meal anytime soon.

Whenever we walked in for dinner around half the tables were full of people and service was still very fast. The interior of the restaurant is nice but nothing too standout from other Chinese restaurants. We got cream cheese puffs, house spicy wide noodle soup, a chicken dish, soup dumplings, cream baos , and a fish dish, and all of it was fairly good. My least favorite was the cheese puffs, which were incredibly hot but I didn't find much very special about either the filling nor the crunchy wrapper. My next critique is their handmade noodles. It is personal preference, but I prefer my noodles to be a lot more chewy and on the more al dente side of things, rather than the more soft noodles we got (both the wide and the original noodles). As for what I liked, it was just about everything else we got. The house noodle soup was nice and comforting, not being super heavy but still carrying good flavor (I would ask for the regular version and add in spice after tasting the broth). Both the fish and chicken dishes that we got were very interesting and I especially enjoyed the lightness of the fish dish. The soup dumplings we got were very flavorful, well balanced, and had a very bouncy yet soft wrapper texture. The cream baos, though admittedly lacking some vanilla and texture consistency across each bao, were still really good and comparable to ones you'd find in Bellaire. Overall, my experience was fairly good and I would go here again if I find myself in the Pearland area.

I'm not sure if she still works here, but the place honestly felt different without her welcoming smile and warm reception. We arrived just in time for breakfast (last Saturday) I ordered Bangsilog, while my cousin had the Tocilog. Service was fast as usual. I really enjoyed my Bangsilog--the bangus tasted fresh, perfectly fried, crispy on the outside while still tender and juicy inside. Unfortunately, my cousin's tocino was disappointing. The tocino was tough and tasted like it may have been leftover from previous day and simply reheated. Either that or it has been sitting in the kitchen for quite awhile. We still finished our meals. Because we were starving, but it definitely affected the experience. It also made us miss Hazel's customer service even more because if she had been there, we're pretty sure she would've handled the situation right away. I waited a while before writing this review because I wanted to be as fair as possible. The lady who served us was still very good, although it was obvious that the overall customer service experience was not quite at the same level as when Hazel was around. The biggest issue was really the tocino. Because of that, this latest visit to TJ's wasn't perfect and honestly made us wonder if it's still worth making this one our go-to spot whenever we're in the Houston area.
