Save your money. Today my coworker and I ordered the orange chicken lunch special and the shrimp with lobster sauce lunch special. The shrimp with lobster sauce was just shrimp and fried rice - barely any sauce. The orange chicken was so overcooked that it was hard and crunchy. It actually tore up the roof of my mouth (no lie - my mouth hurts so bad). The rice is chewy and a bit gummy, but it's pretty much the only thing that's edible. I threw all of the chicken away. When I called to complain about this, the lady told me that's how the shrimp with lobster sauce is supposed to be (uh, then why is it called shrimp with LOBSTER SAUCE?). When I complained about the orange chicken, she said she would give me a credit on my next order. Uhhhh, I really deserve a refund because this food was terrible - I won't be placing a next order. I have been going to this restaurant for years and will NOT be going there ever again. I purchased an Egg Foo Young meal. The Egg Foo Young once again had no gravy. I always ask for extra gravy but they NEVER serve it with gravy. Also, this time the shrimp fried rice was NOT cooked completely. It was hard uncooked throughly. I gave them one more chance and visited the other day, I told the Young lady of my experience and she just stared at me never once said I'm sorry for your experience. So I told her I wanted a lunch special of Egg Foo Young with extra gravy and again no gravy. I then ordered white rice because of the fried rice situation. NEVER AGAIN. I live close to this restaurant I have stayed away for a period of time. Decided to just stop in for a quick takeout. Unfortunately I was disappointed again I order a small meal which was combination fried rice and crab Rangoon, the combination rise was so dry and old I choked on it. The crab Rangoon was so greasy I'm sure it had been refried at least 3 to 4 times. I'm sorry to say this place sucks. I wish they can serve their customer fresh food in a clean kitchen with sanitize helpers. Please avoid this place. I ordered through their website and they called me to tell me that they needed to charge me extra for everything I ordered because their website was not updated, which shouldn't be my fault but the lady was yelling at me like it was. We tried this place for takeout from a lot of response from the community. Overall the food was ok. We like the potstickers that we ordered. The velvet corn soup was meh. It tasted like egg drop soup instead with little corn. It also was a bit tasteless. My husband had their shrimp and lobster sauce. He said it was ok. I had the salt and pepper fish filet which was ok. There's more breading than the fish. It came with two free egg rolls which was nice since we ordered a specific amount. read more

So when this place is on it's game, it's really freaking good Chinese food. But, there are times when it's off. I don't know if that has to do with the cook being different or what, but there is definitely a noticeable difference in food quality. It's still the most consistent and best quality Chinese food I've had delivered in Oak Park. I definitely advise ordering on the restaurant's website vs. grubhub. Their website has numerous different coupons that you can add starting at just a $10 purchase. All their portion sizes are hearty, even if you order a small. So to be able to add on a free egg roll or crab Rangoon, it makes for an excellent deal. I've ordered numerous times here and have gotten a lot of different menu items. My favorite is probably their sweet and sour chicken, but at the same time it's one of their menu items that fluctuates in quality. Sometimes it'll be perfectly crispy on the outside and the meat will be tender on the inside. The chicken itself plentiful in each bite unlike some places that have a pea size amount of chicken covered in 2 inches of batter. The sweet and sour sauce is good too, not overly sweet. Their egg rolls are very average. Nothing wrong with them, but they aren't going to blow your mind. The chicken and mushroom is delicious. It's a light and flavorful sauce with a generous amount of mushrooms in it which I loved. There not a whole lot of chicken in the meal, but honestly I don't care because the veggies just taste delicious in the sauce. The chicken and broccoli has a similar sauce. BBQ pork with broccoli was decent. The slices of pork were on the thinner side and it wasn't fatty. It had a nice sweet and savory flavor, but I wouldn't advice it if you don't like that combination. The beef in lobster sauce wasn't exactly what I was expecting. It was more like a soupy dish that you'd want to pour over your rice vs. just eating it by itself. The flavor was very good, but I wasn't a fan of the super liquid sauce. There also wasn't a whole lot of beef. The sesame tofu was insanely disappointing. I was expecting a thick caramelized sauce that is normally used for "sesame" styled food. Instead this sauce was very liquid-y and just unappetizing. I tried many more dishes, but I'm hoping the ones I described are enough to pique your interest. read more

Delicious, easy access, very reasonably priced, great portions. Literally everything we look for when we come to any restaurant and they've been great with COVID precautions. When they closed down for a hot minute at the beginning of COVID we couldn't wait for them to open back up. We've had all sorts of meals from here and haven't been disappointed yet! read more

The food isn't bad here but I'll say again THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. I ordered on Grubhub. I placed my order at 630pm and it said my food would get here between 7:20-7:30pm. No problem. At 7pm, I received a called from the MANAGER of the restaurant saying Grubhub was incorrect and I was already waiting 30 minutes for my food and was told my food would take another 90 MINUTES!! Because they had sooooo many deliveries. So my food is now going to take 2 HOURS to receive. I also received the excuse about Grubhub having incorrect information on it the last time I had a problem and they said they were working with Grubhub on it. Which is obviously a lie. Unfortunately, I had surgery not long ago so canceling the order and ordering from somewhere else is just too much work right now for me. When I asked the manager about some compensation for having to wait 2 hours for my delivery and I didn't get a call until 20 minutes before my food was supposed to come. She refused. She said take everything as is or cancel it through Grubhub. And then she said she was wasting her time on the phone with me because the other line was ringing and I was so appalled. ITS NOT A WASTE SPEAKING TO A CUSTOMER WHEN YOUVE MESSED THINGS UP. ESPECIALLY FOR A CUSTOMER WHO HAS ALREADY PAID AND HASNT RECEIVED THEIR FOOD YET!!! Of course you don't care, you already have my money! I haven't gotten my food yet so fingers crossed it's going to be correct. Otherwise, I will not be ordering from here again, if I even do anymore anyways. The food is very good, but they advertise senior discounts and other but they don't honor them. I just called and placed an order. I asked about the discount during that call. The girl in the phone checked with thevmanager. I was told that I needed to bring my ID. When I arrived 7 minutes later, is was told that they no longer had the discount. This is the second time they've lied about discounts. They "offer" free pop with orders and "forgot" to add them; had to go back for them. Every neighborhood needs a good Chinese delivery place, and for Oak Park, this is it. They have a huge menu to satisy any greasy or healthy craving, and I like the portion options (small, large, X-large) so I can order based on my appetite. Such an unassuming restaurant, but they're one of my favorite places! The folks at the counter are always really nice and I can't get enough of the General Tso's tofu- they're one of the only places in the area that sells it and I can't recommend it enough. Two words: friggin' horrible. I have tried this place three times, and it's nothing but twenty miles of bad road. If you order takeout and ask for hot mustard, you will never ever, not once, get a packet of hot mustard. Kiss that mustard goodbye! It ain't gonna happen! The sesame chicken is lemon chicken with a sprinkle of sesame seeds and exactly four wee pieces of broccoli. The hot and sour soup is neither. It's gravy with canned vegetables. The egg rolls? Man oh man.... Two strikes you won't get a third. 1. Ordered the jalapeño fried rice from my previous deliveries menu. The menu says nothing about any meat additives but when it arrived..you guessed it plenty of meat. Called back advised I'm vegetarian & it would be beneficial to know that meat was included beforehand. The young lady told me it's in the picture...well at 30 years old I find myself reading descriptions more than seeking pictures...forgive my ignorance. I asked for it to be replaced she requested I bring it back. I advised if my car was ready I wouldn't have ordered DELIVERY. She advised she would refund the money. That was last month....still waiting. But hey EVERYBODY is entitled to a bad day...for the most part the food has been decent...begrudgingly I ventured back... 2. Ordered food for everyone! Yeah Chinese!!! Ordered combo rice for my aunt...her eggs were burned terribly, the rice was hard & she wasn't able to locate 1 shrimp. Ordered shrimp & lobster rice for my mom her rice also hard there was no lobster so they substituted it with crab (imitation of course) & the crab substance was horrible. Ordered vegetable fried rice for myself requested it be spicy & amazingly my vegetables were crisp my rice I microwaved with some water to make edible but the entire dish was flavorless. Ordered a small shrimp fried rice for my 6 year old....things are really bad when your toddler is asking for sauce for his rice & what kind of shrimp were in the rice? I have never seen red shrimp before. I said RED...not pink...yes people RED. My mother was against me driving up there & pouring the rice on the floor but ooooooooh how bad I wanted to. I have been ordering here since 2008 and there is always something... either the delivery guy goes to my neighbors instead of my place and they are nice enough to direct him... or the come to my place and bang on the door like the police.... Also the food... no matter if i call in or do foodler where the food order is written i have had mistakes that are on details that are written in the order then when they make the mistake they argued about giving me what i wanted versus what others normally wanted... My last straw is their food handling... it is gross !!! The way they handle meat is not ok.. the battered chicken is kept in trash cans at room temperature ... waiting for orders to come in... I made the mistake of driving over to pick up an order and watch and I am horrified by what I saw. Don't eat here if u can help it ... and don't order breaded chicken... did i mention the shrimp with veins... just don't do it. It tastes good but now i know why i got sick off the seafood and chicken twice .. i thought it was me but after seeing I realize that it wasn't just me. Beware. In their defense when the first woman i spoke to was rude to me another called back to ask if I wanted my order resent to me.... mean while the first lady said... I will say, it's very difficult to find a really good Chinese place around the Oak Park area. We've tried a few, and they're typically so-so. However, this place was great! FAST (super fast) delivery, large portions, good food and not to mention, the price is right. By far, the best Chinese place we've had in the area so far! The Cashew Chicken, Orange Chicken and Crab Rangoon were awesome. If anything, I'd order an extra side of sweet and sour sauce, as not all the much comes with considering the size of the portions. Best fruit smoothies ever! They taste so amazing and fresh. I've tried the honeydew and banana kiwi. I plan on trying each flavor. Also, super delicious chickin fried rice. I got a small order and had enough to eat for 3 sittings and it still tasted just as good as the first time. It was packed with chickin and yummy bean sprouts. My old band frequented this place in 2006 when we were recording in the studio a couple blocks to the west. This is where I was introduced to Pork Fried Rice. Making a heavy rock record is hard. Quality and speedy delivery, customer database(they know who you are when you call by the 2nd time), and free egg rolls with almost anything you order. No complaints!
