Everything was delicious you are greeted as soon as you walk in and our server was very friendly and very accommodating. Food was delicious and hot.

Went in for lunch before tasting @ Morgan Winery. Our server was nice, but very scattered. I noticed that they offered chicken salad as a side to their lunch specials, but it wasn't on the menu. So we asked if we could get a full order of chicken salad. " we can make but you'll have to wait a long time! We ran out of food and it will take a long time to cut up the chicken!" Huh? It's 1:15 and you're out of food? Should we leave? Then she says the chicken salad comes with lunch. Uh, okay, we'll order lunch, kung pao chicken and shrimp w/snow peas. So we both got chicken salads right away, each with maybe 3 bites of chicken, so it didn't take a long time. My husband asked for hot oil and chopsticks, which never came. The food was okay, but I really can't explain what was going on with our scattered waitress.

I am a tourist. I usually don't write review, but I have let people know this little gem. It is a great value to eat at this restaurant. Food is perfect for Cantonese or Hong Kong people. Black bean beef, sweet and sour pork, Cantonese rice noodle exceeded our expectations. Egg roll is not the burrito style, but a regular Chinese style, so you know the chef cares about food quality. Chicken fried rice was a little bit blended but still very tasty. Comparing to Panda Express and other local American Chinese restaurants, this place easily beat them. The dinning area and restroom are clean. I wonder how they make money with such affordable meals, nice and clean interior, good quality of food as well as good service. We will go there again if we are in town.

Food is fantastic, all home made, fresh and delicious. Service also exceptional. Family owned and operated, so happy to support a small business too. We had the chicken salad appetizer and it was fresh, crisp and delicious, especially the honey mustard dressing. We ordered the medium wor wonton soup for the two of us. Our server warned us it might be too much but we were happy to take 1/2 of it home. For entrees we tried the chicken chow mein and the Mongolian beef. Very large portions and some of the best we've had. Highly recommend this ne

Excellent service, fresh food/vegetables, atmosphere is relaxed and positive. (Be sure to wear pants since the seats, though comfortable, have a plastic covering while dining in). The hot and sour soup is delicious, good flavor and spicy and the rice was simple and had a good texture. This place is conscientious about health and you can leave with a full happy belly.

Fresh, clean Chinese food with wonderful lunch specials. My go-to is the green vegetables--I add soft tofu and almonds every time. The food feels nourishing and thoughtfully prepared, and the service is genuinely caring. It's my favorite mid-week spot to eat well, slow down, and feel completely at home.

Unfortunately, the chow mein was one of the worst I've had. It was mostly noodles with very little meat, and the meat that was included tasted old. I ended up throwing away at least half of it. Normally, I would have sent it back, but since it was a delivery order that wasn't practical. I had hoped to save some for leftovers, but the quality wasn't good enough to justify reheating. I also ordered two char siu baos, but after my experience with the rest of the meal, my expectations are pretty low. My biggest concern was the packaging. None of the food was sealed in any way. The chow mein container had popped open during transit and was handed to me already open. The other takeout container wasn't taped or sticker-sealed either, and the soup came in a plastic container with no seal at all. In my opinion, restaurants using delivery services should place tamper-evident stickers or tape on all containers. Food should not be arriving open or capable of popping open during delivery. The lack of sealing was concerning and did not inspire confidence. The soup was also only about half full, which made me wonder whether some had spilled during transit or if that was the intended portion size. Overall, the beef with broccoli was merely okay, the chow mein was very disappointing, and the packaging raised concerns. Based on this experience, I do not plan to order from or visit this restaurant again.

This time, my partner and I got the Sichuan cold noodles, fish soup with pickles, and eggplant in garlic sauce. The noodles are a great texture, and the sauce super flavorful with a little sweetness and numbing spice. The fish in the soup is super tender, cooked to perfection. The soup has a little spice, but it's mild and balanced with the pickled veggies. The eggplant has so much flavor, sweet and umami. We also love ordering the Dandan noodles, cumin lamb, and shredded potato. These dishes are very similar to ones we ate while visiting the Sichuan province in China. They offer all of the familiar favorites as well like chow main, fried rice, and Mongolian beef (but I highly recommend trying some specials). The service is friendly and efficient. The food comes out quickly. You can also easily order for pickup on their website. The inside of the restaurant is cozy with plenty of seating. From the outside, it doesn't look like much, and inside it's tiny tiny. maybe 6 to 8 tables total. Honestly, it could use some updates or a bigger location, but don't let any of that fool you. The second you walk in, you get that old-school family restaurant feeling. The kind of place that's been around forever, where the same family is working every shift and knows half their customers by name. No room for a Togo box hidden storage, no trendy décor, just people focused on making great food and taking care of their customers. The owner was incredibly kind and even brought us a complimentary order of their veggie rolls to try. They were absolutely delicious and such a thoughtful touch that made us feel genuinely welcomed. And the food? Absolutely incredible. Every single thing we ordered was packed with flavor, fresh, and cooked perfectly. Not one dish disappointed. It's the kind of restaurant that reminds you why local family-owned spots are worth supporting. If you're looking for fancy, this isn't it. If you're looking for some of the best food around in the Monterey area, this place is a 10/10 and well worth the visit. Don't judge this place by its location or appearance, the food speaks for itself.
