WE LOVE THEIR FOOD!!!!!! We always get it delivered via GrubHub (a delivery service far superior to DoorDash) so I can't speak to their service or cleanliness or ambiance, but this food is great!!! Tasty! Easy to find healthy things! Fabulous options! Our favorites are the mixed steamed veggies, veggie chow mein, fried scallops, veggie lo mein, veggie boiled noodles, and veggie chop suey. It's hard to find a lot of steamed and veggie options at most standard Chinese fast food places, but we have so many options here. We don't eat fried or oil-based sauce dishes, so it's nice to have options here which most other Chinese places do not have. However, seeing another reviewer's issue with the cleanliness of the place does give me pause. The food was pretty much "run of the mill" standard fast food Chinese food; not bad but not outstanding. I just can't get over the filth of the dining area! This place hasn't seen a mop or cleaning rag in ages. The front door is so smeared with grime that it is hard to see in or out. The door to the kitchen is stained with black smears. The floor is broken up and littered with dirt. They also have shelving units full of saleable items that just seem like a junk store Chinese restaurant combo. Even the picture hanging on the wall is bent out of its frame. The window blinds hide much of the dirt and small dead flying insects on the sill. I can't imagine the health department passing this restaurant if the kitchen is even one-half as filthy as the dining area. The pictures really don't provide the true visual of this place. Their Hot and Sour soup had mushrooms and a lot of other unexpected extras. It was very good. I also had their Szechuan beef combo and it too was also very good. I didn't particularly care for the broccoli that was part of the meal but besides that the rest of it was very good, and the meat was very tender. read more

The prices are reasonable however its a shame the food was bland. It had no taste. I got the Szechuan Shrimp with vegetarian egg rolls. I, personally was not a fan of the quality of the food and neither were my co-workers. However, the service was good, fast and they had a wide variety of meat and vegetarian items. Amazing! I am not one to eat anything other than fried rice and lo mein so I can only comment on what I ordered. I had the pork fried rice and beef, chicken and shrimp lo mein. Both were very good. This was the most disappointing waste of calories ever. My hot braised chicken had tempura batter which seemed a little off kilter to begin with. Teeny tiny pieces of chicken were buried in giant greasy balls of fried batter. The oil they fried it in may be overdue for a change. The heat level was non existent. It was too sweet, not spicy, too runny and unlike every other hot braised chicken I have ever eaten. A packet of red pepper and a packet of soy sauce made it slightly more edible. The fried rice tasted like dirty oil. Nothing more nothing less. Not a fleck of vegetable or any flavor other than that dirty oil. The crab rangoon were ok but they had been sitting around for a while and were a little jerky-like. I threw away a bunch of my food which I never do. The fortune cookie was good. My other 6 colleagues also didn't like their food. I wouldn't eat here again for free. read more

I love this place and order from Doordash at least once per week. It's very inexpensive and good. I absolutely love the pot stickers and large wonton soup. Their pork egg rolls are very good but they should give you hot mustard. Their combo plates are only $6.50 and are well portioned and good. You get a lot of variety and bang for your buck. You get a lot of food for your buck (could easily feed two) and the minimum order amount is only $8. I really liked the Egg Drop Soup. I got the Sweet & Sour Chicken Combo ... and it was bland. I really wish I could give China Express another star based on the food, but I guess I have high expectations of Chinese food. The food definitely has a distinct flavor to it. It certainly isn't authentic Chinese unless by authentic you mean American Chinese food. Very nice people at this fast food Chinese. Made it an effort to make a special meal for my son with an allergy. Good food cheap and quick.

My order was wrong and when I called back to tell the woman who answered the phone she blamed me and wanted to charge me to send the right order- so that I would essentially be paying for two separate orders to get just one correct one. She literally started raising her voice and blaming me for their mistake even though I Write Down My Orders before calling, I had her read back my order to make sure it's correct AND I got charged the +2 difference for the correct order I placed the first time. Apparently she has problems admitting when she's wrong and FIXING it for the Customer! I work in the food industry and this is a pretty awful mistake on their part to disregard my issue and try to guilt me when I know for a fact I am right. Plus threatening to charge me for a second order instead of just rectifying my first one?!? On top of that, the food didn't have a very good taste to it and incorrect tastes. I shouldn't feel like I just stuck fruit in my mouth when eating teriyaki chicken. It grossed me out. Thumbs down on food, double thumbs on customer service. No reason to complain, Very pleasant and informative when taking phone order. Ordered on a Friday night 8pm. Food arrived within the time given. It was very HOT and tasty. Ordered the chicken and shrimp garlic dinners with Crab Rangoon which was fresh and crispy. Portion were filling with left overs for lunch tomorrow. We have ordered from here about 5 times usually ok. Not great but ok! We ordered last night 3 different orders. My order only had 3 shrimp which was suppose to be apparently 5. My 6 year old son had the orange chicken which we shared due to lack of meat in my meal. We both woke up the next morning with sour stomachs and felt ill. We both ended up vomiting and being sick the whole day! My fiance called to let them be aware of the multiple of issues only to be yelled at my the lady running the place! He was simply just trying to tell them maybe the cook wasn't up to standards. We didn't want any free food or compensation! The woman started Yelling at him about "go to hospital we have insurance" being very rude and not letting him say a word! He had to yell over her to talk! He is normally a quiet person and very respectful man lol. The point of him calling was just to let them know they might need to check the chef out! Like I said we never had problems until this night but thought we should bring it to managements attention. We probably would have never ordered from here again after getting sick, but after dealing with crazy owner we will never! Bad customer service skills!
