Don't go here. Food is terrible... veggies were soggy and all food seems it has been there for 3-4 days! Okay, so it's one of those Chinese buffet joints that, for how many there are across the country, they all kind of taste pretty much the same. The difference in them being, generally speaking, is cleanliness and freshness of food. This place has a hibachi so I would give it an extra half star if I could. The sushi bar is decent for a place such as this. I usually don't stray from the California roll in this type of setting. First let me say this review is for the service and rude attitude of the hostess. (Older Asian lady) We have eaten here many times over the last few years but no more. The buffet used to feature spring rolls as well as egg rolls. About a year ago or more they took the spring rolls off the buffet. After inquiring we were told please just ask and we will gladly fix you some. We have done that many times (only 3 each time we ate as only my wife eats them) Also between the two of us we eat less than one heaping plate others get. Tonight was a different experience. After being seated my wife asked for a couple of spring rolls as always. Our server asked another man about the spring rolls and he went to the buffet an got an egg roll. After explaining that the egg roll has meat and a spring roll does not he went and got the hostess. Keep in mind she has actually taken the spring roll order herself a couple of times. We explained our problem to her, she laughed and said "no no no" like we were liars and then played the I don't speak English act. If they had said we don't do that anymore we would have understood. We liked the food but will not be back after this episode. As a side note the last time we ate there I left a slightly torn $20 (that the bank later said was fine) and the man chased me to the parking lot like I was walking a ticket to make me replace it!! Said then I wasn't going back. So much for second chances. read more

I've been here twice with the first time being on a Sunday. The variety of food seemed endless and they had this streak meat marinated with A1 sauce that was to die for. Fried rice is okay, tasted too Americanized. They had several different dishes with shrimp, tried them all & all were delicious. Service was SUPERB!! They constantly had dirty dishes cleared out & drinks filled. Overall food was fresh, hot, & delicious! However, my second trip there was a few days later (cause I didn't have enough the 1st time it was so good), it was a weekday lunch and they didn't seem to have nearly the same amount of variety- which I guess makes sense since it was lunch. Food lacked more this time...eggrolls were rubbery and tasteless, broccoli and beef meat tasted soggy and chewy, and service sucked this time!! Both times I noticed the salad bar consisted of maybe 2 toppings to top your salad with:-( But they do have a coolhibachi with a friendly cook and sushi that looks appealing. This has to be one of the best Asian buffets in the area. A wide selection of chicken, beef, and seafood, along with a huge salad bar with spicy octopus. A good selection of deserts, as well. Everything was hot and fresh. The place was clean. There is a Hibachi grill where you can select raw veggies and meats or shrimp and it is stir fried right in front of you. First time visit today to China Flag with our family. Best buffet in the area, hands down! Everything we tried was fresh and tasted wonderful. Buffet sushi is normally a joke, but not here; it was delicious and there was a large selection. Service was friendly. Decor is cheesy, yet very clean and nice. This is actually a very good buffet with a wide range of healthy, to traditional Chinese and Japanese, and even a sweets bar. The food quality is slightly better than most buffets, with chicken and steak kabobs and fish entrees topping my list of favorites. They even have a mini sushi bar and some awesome peel and eat shrimp! My kids love eating here. read more

Had a very good first experience there. Remaining mindful this is a Chinese buffet, I'd say the food was great. Good, fresh sushi. Someone there knows something about frying fish, too. Normally going to the buffet usually we enjoy ourself, but don't ever order food to pick up! They get the order all messed up, we get food we didn't order and didn't get the stuff we ordered. We call them and they want us to come back and pick it up. We're like no just refund what you didn't give us. They say they can't refund us part of the order and we should be OK cause they gave us complimentary donuts. Don't know if we're ever going back and we go a couple times a month. read more

Stopped in yesterday at 3:40pm thinking we would get the lunch price for to go orders which was 4.29 a lb but was told the price was 5.29 for dinner to go orders which began at 3:30, geez, we missed it by 10 minutes. Ok, no big deal I thought...uh, until we went to the buffet to select our choices. Some of the food was not at all fresh, especially the seafood. We made our choices without getting some of our favorites because it obviously wasn't fresh. When we went to pay at the register I commented on the sub par buffet choices and lack of our favorite seafoods, despite the fact that we were paying dinner prices. Was told that I was informed at the greeting that I was paying dinner prices, which I had no problem with. However, you need to put out fresh food for dinner guests which they obviously didn't understand as they said it was the slow period, I should order off the menu if I want fresher food, and when I objected to their answers and wanted to get a refund I was told that they would call the police. Very poor customer service, rude greeter, etc, etc, etc...not my first visit as we've been coming here for years. But definitely my last. Poor attitudes toward longtime paying guests will cost you your reputation which some people just don't understand, obviously. read more

This is the best Chinese buffet I've ever been to. My family and I visit often. Just this Saturday we went and let them know that we were celebrating our son's 11th birthday. Not only did they play the Happy Birthday song over the intercom but they also made a cake in the shape of a heart with the candle and sang it in person as well. He was so surprised. I was actually disappointed with this place, it wasn't horrible but it definitely cratered my expectations. The chicken was dry (at least the vernal chicken was) and seemed to be overcooked. We used to come to come to this place a lot because of the sushi, the sushi is usually really good if they don't leave it out too long. Sometimes it is stale though. But these last few times we've went have been ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. We have been attacked with violent food poisoning TWICE. I don't really know how sanitary the kitchen might be, and it worries me. The chicken and fish always smells sour and the rice and lo mein is either stale or soggy and it is absolutely AWFUL. Service is okay, but the food has been horrible every time we've went there. Love this restaurant, I drive over an hour to eat here. Never once have I found hair or bugs in my food. That statement is totally not true. I go for lunch, food is always hot and plentiful. If you go between 3:00-5:00 yes the food is not as fresh, during that time the do offer you a much cheaper price for that reason. Truly one of the best Chinese buffets in the metroplex Prices are reasonable. Selection is excellent. Food is always fresh and hot. Sushi selection is excellent. If you're not interested in what's on the buffet, they have a make your own grill. Not extra but they do have a tip jar. I have been to so many chinese restaurants and I keep going to this place sometimes 2 times a week! I can't get enough of their shrimp and freshness of ingredients not to mention the cleanliness! I love all the staff there as well! I'm so glad they opened right up the road from our house which makes it so convenient! I'm Asian and to all those who aren't sure if it's good believe me my Caucasian husband and also my boys LOVE this place! I still feel guilty because I get a to go box all the time !
