We had heard of Heaven's Gate and kept saying, we were going to check it out and we finally did. We got there when breakfast was almost over. So we were able to get one nice full plate of breakfast and then lunch was served at 11I believe and we also got to try the lunch buffet as well. I love that they have a lot of vegetable options because I am a pescatarian and don't eat meat besides fish. Regardless, if you have breakfast, lunch or both they charge the same amount, 15 dollars. They are open from 7am until 2pm. They only do the buffet on the weeknd. But if you order from the menu, the serving sizes are also very large, they are also open on the holidays. So if you don't want to cook, this would be a great place to check out, especially if you have family in town as they have a lot of tables that seat large parties. First of all, I wanna say how disappointed I am that they charge $26 per person on Mother's Day and another $15 for a child that had a piece of pizza and a piece of chicken. That was highway robbery that was overpriced for the menu they had as far as a buffet. The food was not good at all, and they barely had a lot of stuff on the menu and called it a feast. They turned around and charged me $75 for two adults and one child. I have never been anywhere I don't care if it's been a holiday or not where a child was charged $15 for a buffet. I will never go to this place again. The food was horrible and definitely overpriced. And their explanation was well. We charged this price because it's Mother's Day so double the price because it's Mother's Day instead of giving the mothers a break charged them double. Interesting place you have here. With a title of "Heaven's Gate", became skeptical about what we'd be getting into. Then we walked in and the decore is very religious, complete with the 10 commandments in the entry. Skepticism grew. We were seated right away and out waitress was amazing. Go hungry! I've come here twice and each time I've left stuffed. My visits were on a Sunday morning for the buffet. The cool thing is if you come later in the morning around 1030am, you can also enjoy the lunch buffet coming out. Food is fresh and always being replenished. There are lots of type of different foods, but not as many as big buffet chains. There's also a desert bar! The location has their own parking lot, so parking isn't an issue. This place has good service. The staff is very attentive and they make the buffet food to order. The buffet is not that big. I heard they change the buffet daily but I am not sure what they are offering on the different days. Found this place on Yelp by accident. Thought we'd give it a try. The place was clean, must wear a mask while getting your food. No spacing of tables, everyone can sit where they want. Lots of egg choices. Bacon was good! Sausage patty and link was not good at all. The sodas were to carbonated. The pork chop was good. The Menudo, was actually pretty good. This spot had 5-star service going on the day I went. On St Patty's Day, I tried out the breakfast buffet. I was immediately greeted as though I was entering someone's home. The waitress could not have been more pleasant, and of course, she was dressed in a green t-shirt (in honor of the day). She was that expert balance of friendly and taking care of you and checking on you that every restaurant diner adores in waitstaff. I reciprocated her fine service by tipping extra! The offerings on the breakfast buffet were hot and being replenished at a pretty good rate until around 10:30 AM. The restaurant begins getting ready for its lunch buffet at this time, so no more fluffy biscuits, pancakes, etc were being brought out. The waitress let me know that although they don't have an official omelet station, the cooks were making them fresh upon request. So, I had one with cheddar, onions, and bell peppers. The rest of the buffet included four variations of scrambled eggs, biscuits, sausage gravy, pancakes, French toast, bacon, sausage patties, fruit, chicken fried steak, and fried pork chops. The taste winners were the surprisingly delicious fluffy homemade biscuits, as well as the light, crispy, non-greasy chicken fried steak and pork chops. The rest of the breakfast buffet fare was simply "OK to mediocre." Around 10:45 AM, they begin putting out the lunch buffet which also offers a wide variety of options, but I can't comment on taste because I didn't try any lunch food. Heaven's Gate is nice and clean and has a huge parking lot. There is ample seating inside, but this place does get packed due to the fact that it offers a reasonably priced buffet. The quality of the food was outstanding and the ladies were very attentive to our needs and courteous to us and a relatively full restaurant. The lunch buffet was fantastic with many homemade items presented in a very clean setting. We were also told if we wanted a chicken fried steak to let her know and they would cook us one up. The homemade desserts were the cherry on top to a very filling lunch. We will be back and many of us will also be back with our families. I have to say I'm sadly disappointed today. We went at noon and only chicken legs and roasted thigh quarters. I hate dark meat. Pork roast I though was beef was dry and no gravy except country. The mashed potatoes were instant and very watery. They did make chicken fried steak for us but needed another 3 minutes because it was a greasy mess and breading was soggy and undercooked. Salad bar lacked. Only a few desert options. Just nothing that made me want to come back. Our waitress was sweet, but the food just wasn't good today.
