If you're looking for true, authentic sushi - this place is not it. Considering that this place is all you can eat, the portion sizes are much smaller and in my opinion - taste mediocre. Service was not on top of it. We waited quite some time in between each order. Another larger party showed up and our table was definitely put on the back burner - not mention, there were times when they forgot to give us items we ordered. Went back after taking a break, and while I didn't have an issue with the food this time, there was a massive septic issue in the bathrooms, We were greeted with the smell of "bathroom" when we walked in. Honestly, they shouldn't have even been open it smelled horrendous. I didn't even know what the issue even was until I went to wash my hands and the smell was super strong in the bathroom area. I felt so sorry for the people sitting on that side of the restaurant. Thankfully, we were escorted to the opposite side, so we didn't have to ensure it as much. Now, for the food this time: I didn't have the sushi because I'm not chancing that again. But I did have pork buns, the croquette, and several chicken dishes and loved them all. As you enter Japan House, you are greeted with a smile by the hostess. There's a nice bar to the left and plenty of dining space. Beautiful decor throughout the restaurant. My waitress was great and explained that the all you can eat for lunch is listed in brown on the menu and the red includes dinner. I started with miso soup and Shioyaki mackerel. Also tried the salmon skin hand roll, avocado eel roll, and yellowtail poke bowl. All was tasty and fresh. They offer beer, wine, and cocktails . Heard about this place from my friend at church. I'm always down for AYCE sushi. This place exceeded my expectations. The fish was fresh and there were some creative rolls. The place is massive so I don't think you'll have a hard time getting a seat. We were seated in 5 minutes. It's light and airy. The tables and seats were clean. Our waitress was awesome. She was on top of it and she even cleared and cleaned tables. We ordered a ton of stuff, but my favorite was the yellowtail jalapeño. My husband really enjoyed the dragon roll and sunshine roll. He enjoyed it so much that he ordered it twice. They got these dishes out so fast. They're much faster than the other AYCE places in the area. You can order a max 5 dishes per person. The two dishes I was disappointed in were the yuzu seared salmon and the tomago sushi. I couldn't taste the yuzu in the yuzu seared salmon and the tomago sushi didn't taste fresh. I will definitely come back. This is my new AYCE spot that's close enough to our house. read more

It's somewhat difficult to make your way to this location without gps on. Once you've reached the restaurant, you'll be greeted by the hostess and seated. The waitstaff is very helpful and quick. Just moved to the Fort Worth area from Dallas and have been on the hunt for a solid all-you-can-eat sushi spot. Japan House absolutely delivered. At $33 for the dinner AYCE, it's an excellent deal and easily one of the better AYCE sushi places I've been to in the DFW area. They even include sashimi on the AYCE menu, which is rare, and the fish quality is surprisingly good, especially for an all-you-can-eat format. I tried several nigiri and sashimi options along with a few different rolls. Everything came out fresh and well-presented. My favorite was the "Tuna Killer Roll" packed with flavor and just the right texture. The service was friendly and fast, and the dining space was clean and comfortable. Overall, if you're looking for a dependable sushi fix that won't break the bank, Japan House is a great spot to check out. I really enjoyed this self-paced buffet. The hubbs and I indulged in the weekend buffet (which includes everything on the menu). It's pricey, but worth it if you arrive hangry. We had not eaten since lunch time the day before, so our tummies could try a variety of items. The raw items to the steamed to the fully cooked/fried items were delicious. I love that you submit an order (5 items per order) to your waiter and then your food is prepared fresh. This concept is perfect for buffets. I'm sure it helps keep food waste to a minimum. The menu is extensive and you are able to just order a regular plate of food, if you don't want to indulge in the sit down buffet. Everyone will find something yummy to eat from this menu. I even loved my green tea ice cream I had for dessert. Wait staff is very friendly and attentive. The booths are warm and inviting. This is one of the nicest restaurants in this area. read more

I am glad that a really good Japanese restaurant is now here in the West Fort Worth area. I went to NRH, but will now be coming here. The servers were nice, attentive and I received great service and quick refills on soft drinks. You order off a menu and up to five items at a time. The items (various rolls, sushi, or cooked items) are made fresh to order. The prices are very reasonable and I cannot say how happy I am to have a cool Japanese AYCE place so close to the college and can go after work. I know that many west coast ex-patriots who may be looking for tasty Japanese cuisine will benefit in coming here. The food was great, but their menu says yakatoris (2). I ordered 2. For total if 4 yakatori sticks. They brought out one stick, then later they brought out another. I asked that I did read 2 yakatories. She said yes but they changed the number of yakatories and hadn't updated the menu yet. I figured they would take off one of the orders because of the confusion. Nope. My BIL is a retired Veteram as am I. He paid the bill brought out his retired Id. They only gave him 10% off his meal. He was a little miffed too. read more

Great place if you want all you can eat sushi for about $30 per person. The huge selection from the menu makes this place even better. The layout and cleanliness of the restaurant is spot on and they have amazing tasting drinks! My husband ordered a few nigiri and it came on a cute sushi boat! Pleasantly surprised! I wasn't a fan of the Japan House in NRH so I wasn't particularly thrilled when this one opened up in Lake Worth. But alas, I found myself here for dinner at the request of my friend who wanted to try it out for the first time. We arrived for dinner on a Thursday around 5:30 pm and there was already a nice size crowd but was seated right away. By the time we left though, a little before 7:00 pm, there were plenty of people waiting for a table. It's a very nicely decorated restaurant inside. Beautiful wooden accents with cozy booths as well as large tables for bigger parties. Price is on par with other AYCE sushi spots for lunch and dinner. Obviously, the dinner menu has more premium items. Service was pretty good at first but as it became more busy we saw less of our server to the point where we felt forgotten. The manager came by and asked how we enjoyed our meal which was very nice and appreciated. As for the food, we tried a lot of different items between the two of us. There were hits and misses. This location uses Pringle's chips for their fish tacos as well. I don't know why this infuriates me but it does. I enjoyed the Japanese short ribs which are always my favorite. Other items we enjoyed were the karaage, lovely roll, fried oysters, and crispy calamari. Fried rice was salty, the crispy rice was hard to bite into, spring rolls were mushy inside, and the miso soup was not hot. Happy to report they have ice cream flavors other than just chocolate and vanilla at this location. Bonus points for having green tea ice cream. Drinks are not included btw. Lunch is $21.99 which is not bad for perhaps an office birthday lunch. Lots of variety from cold and hot appetizers, sushi, ramen, and fried rice and noodles to choose from. Dinner I believe was $32.99. Fountain drinks with unlimited refills are $3.50. I still prefer my fave AYCE sushi spot in Bedford but I would come back here. read more

Waiter came back to ask if we wanted to order more and we told him we still hadn't received first round of order. He apologized went to look. It appeared the young man who was running plates didn't know table numbers (especially when we heard him question Table D#B# something along that line) and server came back again to which we advised still hadn't gotten stuff but will order more in the mean time. It seemed to take a really long time to get food I believe due to holiday eve, new employees potentially not knowing tables and sections and numbers tables based off a machine (which we saw come by a few times) While it wasn't great in terms of wait time- We will go back and try and give another chance. read more

I am loving this concept of a buffet but not a typical buffet. You pick items off the menu and they bring them to you, just a smaller portion. So you can try anything you want!! Just one price, don't leave anything behind because you might get charged a little extra. The service is really good, food tastes amazing, and I even saw a robot delivering ice cream to tables. Yes! My trip to Japan House was a fabulous experience. I was able to sit down immediately at a clean table. The servers were polite and timely. The restaurant is busy but the atmosphere is typical of a Friday at 6:00pm. The business model allows you to order a variety dishes and I recommend trying as many as possible.
