Look, Pancho's is a brand that has been slowly disappearing. It's worth visiting to keep something many people in this area grew up with - there's a lot of nostalgia to bank on here. The enchiladas are still great and the tacos, with the flaky-crisp quality are pretty good. Some of the other food items are OK - the flautas used to be fantastic but these days they are OK. The sopapillas are still great. Service is polite and practical. It's a bit sad to see what was once a vibrant brand in this region become so incidental. I just went to the Pancho's on Green Oaks Blvd. The worst food you can ever find anywhere! The food was disgusting! I went to this location in River Oaks and the food was not so great. What was worse is the fact that the servers did not wear vinyl gloves while serving, they would run their hands through their hair and return to serving;they did not wear hair nets or cover of any type over their hair; each server was wearing an earbud for their phone, which would fall out onto the serving line and they would just pop it back into their ear and never wipe the area where it dropped. In the dining area, while customers were still in the restaurant eating at just 7pm, they cleaned the tables with bleach that was overwhelming ! I only gave a one star because there was not anything lower! The health department needs to make a visit to this restaurant! read more

Let me just start off by saying this is just my first experience going here, and it was AWFUL! 60$ for 4 people i expected at least the food to be eatable half the food we got wasn't even that. If im paying for something i expect it to be at least mediocre and that it was not, i could barely tell what half the stuff they were serving was. they had one overworked waitress running around for the whole restaurant i hope they don't treat their employees as bad as their food tastes,i wouldn't recommend this to anyone nor will i be returning. i did notice most of the demographic were the elderly which seems to be their only source of income nowadays which makes sense becuase this is food they would serve in a old folks home. read more

I haven't eaten ponchos in about20 years.So when i found out there were still a couple around I had to go.When i got there it was a flash back in time.I went in and it was exactly the same.Except they made a couple of changes.They have a little dessert bar and a little salad bar.At least this location did.The food was the same.My favorite is the tacos and flautas.I can say I had no complaints.If you liked panchos back in the day then I would recommend taking a trip back in time.If you have never been to panchos the food isn't going to knock your socks off but it's pretty good for what it is.Give a shot and see what you think? read more

I can't believe this place is still open. I remember going to a different location in Dallas growing up. It was decent back then. The food at the FTW location was bad.... Bland, poor quality, and some items that should have been hot were cold. The enchiladas feel apart as if they had been sitting all day, but they had just opened as we were there for lunch. There are two good items that I actually liked... the zucchini with tomatoes and the sopapillas of course. The food trays and the table flags look like the ones that were there when this establishment first opened. Filthy and old. I would never recommend anyone to eat here. read more

Well.. I like Mexican food, but Pancho is a diarrhea kinda Mexican food. LOL When I walked in and was asked what I wanted it they just slab it on this metal plate. Felt like I was an inmate eating jail food. Everything had little meat and just blah! Except little taquitos and menudo inside. Service is actually really good here. They are very attentive to you! Tortillas and sopapillas made fresh but that's the only thing good I can say about this place. The restaurant itself need some updating; it's dingy. Dark and dirty. Idk how their kitchen looks like but that's probably how I got diarrhea from this place. :) I wish food would've been better I would have come back for the service 10000times! read more

Manager took a take out order for me on short notice for 30 flautas and 20 tacos (the taco kit), was pleasant, had it ready when I showed up, and even gave us cheese sauce and sour cream on the house. Oh what joy to find this Pancho's Mexican Buffet. I was resigned to driving to Arlington from Fort Wort, but when I searched for Pancho's, I found this location. I especially love their sopaipillas, buttered up and then poke a hole in the middle and drizzle in the honey. For a great experience that will reconnect you to the 1970's, you can't beat this place. Raise your flag in joy. Staff are friendly. The waitress was working hard and said she lost 20 + pounds since she started. The customers leave fat and happy and the friendly staff run around answering the call of the Pancho's flag. Please tip well, they deserve it. read more

He told me it would take 15 minutes (like I don't already know they are pre made lol) took the waitress to get it. No issues. It's Panchos yall. It's never going to be 4-5 stars. Read the reviews and was somewhat reluctant to try, the location is not great as well. Walked in to find everyone was very friendly and helpful. You start with a buffet line of hot foods then soup and salad self service inside. My rating of Mexican food always starts with the salsa. The salse is blended and not much in the way of chunks, which I like, flavor was OK. However the Pico de gallo was very good and when added into the salsa problem solved. Dishes were hot and the flavor was good but I'm not a fan of what some call "queso sauce" I see it as liquid imitation cheese so adding this took away from the dish, just plain real cheese is always the answer for me. Tamales were good and the tacos were the best. Again, very friendly service and they always offered all that you would like to eat. So the price is very good and that makes it a great value, but it is not the best Mexican I have ever had, but for the price I wasn't expecting it. Would I go again, yes, but I would stick with tacos and dishes without the queso sauce, remake the salsa with the pico de gallo, and enjoy. read more

Our son wanted to go here 'for old time's sake', as we used to frequent the old Burleson Pancho's when our boys were teenagers eating us out of house and home. You go to Panchos for the nostalgia and not necessarily the food. The food is okay, the taquitos or flautas are likely the best part. The enchiladas are drowning in sauce. You know what... it's freaking PANCHOS!!! Grew up with the one in south Fort Worth, then Burleson until it closed. I was giddy walking in, flooded with nostalgia! Decor like I remembered and all the same food! I absolutely LOVE Pancho's Mexican Buffet. I remember eating there as a teen, and to this day, the food is exactly as I remember--DELICIOUS! Everything on the menu is so tasty, and the service is great! I hope Pancho's stays around for a long time. So many other locations have closed, and I don't know what I'd do without my Pancho's "fix." I wish they wouldn't have closed the one in Plano, because now the closest one is twice the distance (in Mesquite), but well worth it! I LOVE PANCHO'S!!! read more

Me and my husband eating Pancho today it come to my surprise the food is too cold everything they serve is cold is not in health regulations and the waitress is no good all Mexican Restaurant consume jalapeño I ask her for chop jalapeño and now she told me they don't have none. If you make Picco de gayo it's mean you have jalapeños. Pancho needs to do standard regulation following the protocol. read more
