Upon walking in I noticed the stuffy fishy stench but shrugged it off because, hey it's a 'hole in the wall' Chinese place. I decided to try the hot and sour soup - usually a favorite of mine. It was awful and lacked the 'hot n sour ingredients'. My husband took one bite of the spring roll and couldn't finish it. He's NEVER picky when it comes to Chinese food. The sushi looked decent but I'm certain it wasn't fresh. The chicken and shrimp dishes were heavily breaded and over cooked, resulting in a sponge-like texture. Even the rice tasted off. Heck, my homemade fried rice is 100x better than that mush. If you've never been, don't waste your money, go to chai tai instead and spend the extra $5. I had a takeout order of 2 egg rolls and a a small order of boneless ribs last Friday evening around 930pm. 09/13/19. The egg rolls were ok. The ribs were so tough they were un-chewable.I stopped in the next day and told them about the ribs. The young girl I spoke with offered a half- hearted apology ,then there was the awkward silence we experience when someone wants us to just leave . A friend suggested one of her favorite buffets and we arrived in mid-afternoon. It was before three pm so we were still in the lunch bracket. Nice ambiance, very clean and the buffets were attractive. It was a pleasant, quiet time to go. My friend told me the restaurant has been in business many years. Yes, the decor needed some updating perhaps, but it added to the appeal. As far as the choices of hot and cold, we both enjoyed many of the diverse offerings. The favorites for me were, yes, the Peanut Chicken, Crab Rangoon, and Beef and Broccoli. The sushi selection was nice, but a bit dried out. As in similar buffets, the food is a bit salty. I found myself drinking a lot of water for an hour or two after leaving. Very nice lunch and a return trip in the future. Update: wonderful lunch. I'm not an expert in authentic Chinese cuisine, so what I put forward here is taste preferences only. This is a pretty typical Chinese buffet, where you may find something you like, and something you don't like. I typically like fried rice, egg drop soup, chicken & mushrooms, general tso's, and beef & broccoli. Very unadventurous, I'll admit. This place had some of the worst rice and noodles I've ever had. The rice was crunchy and stale, and the noodles were slimy. But, the egg drop soup was good, and they had a nice variety of chicken dishes that were all pretty 3-star. They also have crab legs that seemed pretty popular, but I am against buffet crab so I cannot comment on those. Everyone's preferences are different, so if you are coming to the buffet for the crab legs, then my 2-star review won't affect you. I don't think I will ever come to this location again because of the rice and noodle experience, but I wouldn't want to tell anyone not to come. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. -10/10 do not recommend. The food was HORRIBLE. I paid $77 for my family of 6 in celenrarion of my late mother's birthday today . My kids wouldn't touch half of the food out most of it was like warm and had been setting out for hours it seemed. The egg drop soup had a film on it so thick you had to bust through it like you were going ice fishing. The scooper for ice cream was sitting in a container of water and the water was murky/grayish. The ice cream had the consistency of snot it was gooey seems it's sat forever and has melted and refrozen probably a dozen times. My daughter took a bite of pineapple and said it was "salty" and asked "do I have to eat it" so I tasted it and it was SPOILED. They had PAPER PLATES OUT in one of the plate stacks for use at the Buffett. I could go on and on I'm definitely not happy I could have gone to mark pi's feast of the dragon paid $5 a person and received a better experience. . I would not be surprised if they've ever received a dirty dish award. I will not be returning if any of us become sick later it will be a no brainer. Ordered on Door dash, pretty quick, however pretty inedible, the crab rangoons were not cooked through and VERY tough like leather. Many of the items were a little greasy, sitting in oil or butter on the buffet. Even the soft serve ice cream they have for dessert, complete with ice cream cones was disappointing - had no creaminess, was more like iced milk than cream, and vanilla or chocolate, just had no flavor, wasn't even sweet. Went here for the first time today, and definitely my last. We got here around 3:45pm, 15 mins before dinner prices. The establishment is typical Chinese buffet. As going to the buffet there wasn't many choices. The fried rice was hard as a rock, the lo mein was shriveled up and dry. It was disgusting. The area with the desserts and fruits was even nastier, dried up desserts rotten looking fruit. Decided it was time to leave, went to pay since my other party member got a plate. I think this is the BEST CHINESE BUFFET EVER! A lot better than that bigger one in Hilliard-cleaner and more comfortable. It's very affordable and the choices vary. The servers are very nice and friendly and they clean up the table in a very efficient way. I love the peanut chicken and walnut shrimp and would have them every time I come in. This is your typical Chinese Buffet. Actually, it's really not your typical buffet, I think it's smaller. There are only two hot bars and one cold one. The food is not bad, but not real good either. Although they serve most of the usual items, one of my favorites and a buffet staple -string beans, are no longer available. Another item they like to play games with are the crab legs. The way I see it, if I'm paying the premium dinner rate than I expect you to keep the crab legs coming. Not here, or at least not the times I've been. On my last visit I purposely tried to wait out the refill of the crab legs. Didn't work, there were no crab legs for a solid hour and a half. The ones that were on the buffet were very soggy, almost impossible to crack open. Crab legs are one of the main reasons I come! Okay, instead of continuing my rant about the crab legs, I will say something good, this place is pretty doggone clean. During several visits I have seen waitstaff cleaning, not your average cleaning, I mean tearing apart booths, sanitizing chairs, and washing table and chair legs. Although I was impressed, I also wondered why don't they wait until closing time, there's a restaurant full of people? So in a nutshell, the place is clean, the food is just okay, but the stinginess with the crab legs knocks this down to two stars. There is not one one thing that we could have complain about when we went there on 11/25/12. The food selection was great for the price that it cost for the buffet. The best food item had to be the peanut butter chicken! Yes, it is that good. The place was clean, staff was nice and like I stated before the price was very good for the amount of food that we ate. Terrible!!! I found a hair in the chicken and when I told my waitress first she acted like she didn't understand me and as I got louder and louder she finally said she understood. After looking up their inspection record with the Franklin County Public Health Department, I can understand why. Continual violations. Their hot food was lukewarm or cold. Told the person working there that they don't know how to keep their food at the proper temp and that someone could get sick. He said that it was because they close at 9:30pm...ummm, no matter what time it is, your food is supposed to stay HOT until the last person leaves. Not to mention their sign said they close at 10:00pm...when I asked about that the guy said that they close at 9:30pm during their "slow season." What the heck?!?! Slow season?? If your food and service were good enough, YOU WOULDN'T BE SLOW!! Needless to say, I sent a lengthy complaint to the Franklin County Public Health Department and I will never eat there again. read more

We eat here quite often common we never know what the food is going to be like when we do eat there. Sometimes it's fresh sometimes it's not last night was the worst know we've ever had their. The cream cheese wontons, which is what we call them, we're so hard you could not bite into them they evidently had been there all day. The only way to get fresh ones was to take those bad ones and put them on my plate and throw them away. Then they finally brought out fresh ones the crab legs came out few and far between. There were a lot of people waiting in line for crab legs so I don't blame everyone for being upset about there not being any. We asked if they would be bringing more crab legs out and they said yes but never did we asked for a glass of ice for my water and they never did bring that out. This is the only time that I did not leave a tip there. Will we go back probably but not for a very long time read more

Today I went there with my family and the cashier was so rude. I never take, take out, but today I did. Normally my niece always asks for potatoes and they give it to her. Today they were acting like potatoes were gold when I asked for some too. They told me no that they would be giving me any potatoes and that she shouldn't get any either. I've been coming here a few times a year for the past few years. It's been declining the past few years. The food wasn't hot enough and had little flavor. I really like chicken like an alcoholic likes a bloody mary on a sunday. However, even I was sick of chicken at the end of the meal. Also, as other reviewers indicated, there are very few vegetables available such as green beans. The peanut butter chicken was indeed tasty. I had to beg for chopsticks and a water. Have eaten here many times as there are no EXCELLENT CHINESE BUFFETS ANYWHERE!! Sometimes it's really good food fresh and plentiful-other times not! They food is GOOD. Not a ton of selection but good. Stopped in today for carry out - it's a small rectangle box with no divider compartments for $8 bucks. $1 extra for soup. Not a bad deal but When I asked for a little bag to get some of the soup crunchies she said that was an additional $.50. That in itself is really annoying considering I just didn't want to put them in my soup for them to be Mushy by the time I got home 20 minutes later, but I definitely thought charging for the crunchies was ridiculous especially $.50!!! I could see if this was an expensive food item but this normally comes with your soups when you get them any other time or in any other restaurant.
