I ordered the lunch special today which I got Hunan chicken with fried rice which comes with egg roll. I then ordered another egg roll which comes in a pack of two. The egg rolls were golden brown today and filled with flavor. I ordered ahead and it was ready when I arrived. The staff were friendly and processed my order quickly. The lunch Hunan chicken comes packed with a lot of food. The lunch specials are reasonably priced especially for how much food they give you. The Hunan chicken had the right amount of spice and the broccoli was crispy. The fried rice was tasty today too. A very good lunch pick for today. read more

I will never order food from China Garden. It was my first experience and it was absolutely disgusting., the spring rolls were bland and tasteless and mushy and the pepper steak. The meat in it is very questionable as to whether or not it was beef. I don't think it was anyways I couldn't eat it and I wanted DoorDash to come and pick the order up, but they didn't. read more

We got delivery from China Garden. The food arrived hot. A good start. Unfortunately the food was not great. We ordered: Crispy beef-- not crispy and the meat was tough. Szechuan chicken-- my husband got this-- he said it was a little better than OK. Not great. I thought it had a strange underlying unpleasant sweet flavor. Egg rolls-- these had a similar unpleasant taste. Crispy crab meat and cheese puff-- these were crispy but the filling was just kind of mushy without much flavor. Rice-- The fried rice also had a strange sweetness. The white rice was fine. Overall we did not like this food as much as Taste of China. First of all their food is ridiculously overpriced and cheap Secondly, they don't allow you to eat more than two plates which you are just trying each food. . We are new to the area and did not have any recommendations for Chinese takeout. I used Yelp and chose this restaurant because it has the same name as my favorite Chinese restaurant in another state. I called in an order for pickup. The man on the phone was polite and helpful. When we arrived, there were no other customers, but there were two or three other takeout orders waiting to be picked up. I did notice that of the many different Chinese restaurants I've been in, this one looked the cleanest. The tables and front were neat and tidy. You can see all the way into the kitchen from the front, and even the floors back there looked clean. Our food was done in around 10 minutes. My sweet and sour shrimp was as I expected, although a tad overcooked so the batter was a bit hard. My husband ordered the chicken with ginger and garlic and it looked like the dish they should photo to advertise the meal. It was beautiful. He said it was an excellent dish. We also got egg drop soup, crab rangoons and sweet donuts. I especially appreciated that there was an appropriate amount of sweet and sour sauce supplied with the crab rangoons. The portion for each dish was generous. Everything was hot, tasty and fresh. We were so excited to try the food that I forgot to take pictures. Fresh, fast, and delicious! NOTE: ONLINE VERSIONS OF THEIR MENU ARE OUTDATED! I uploaded photos of what their menu looks like as of 05/2014. Really, really good egg and spring rolls. Not greasy at all, lots of flavor. You can tell their ingredients are fresh! All of their vegetables are crisp, their meat is tender, and their breadings are never soggy or greasy. Their sauces also have a lot of flavor and body without being salty. Soups are thick and rich, too! Our one complaint was that the fried rice itself doesn't have much flavor (though the meats added in are good). That may be so that people can add their own preferred amounts of soy sauce, but I wish some (some more?) was cooked into the rice. They give you plenty of food for your money, and as another reviewer said, it's easy to understand the employees on the phone and in person. They're quick to deliver, and the food arrives hot. We're pretty new to the area and have tried a few Chinese restaurants and it just didn't hit the spot. So ordinarily I was a bit skeptical to try this one but boy did they exceed my expectations. Fast and friendly service (although you have to order through door dash). Food was fresh and super yummy! This will be my go to from now on. Highly recommend~. Alright let's pump the breaks on the 5 star reviews for a minute and be honest with ourselves. All Chinese restaurants pretty much have the same menu. Highly salted wet meats with veggies and rice. Some places do it better than others but at best, it's mediocre. That being said this place this place is not good enough to be considered mediocre. I've been to this location at least 3 times and every time I was sorely disappointed. Even with the meat swimming in sauce the entries were overcooked and dry. The soups were over salted and nothing special. The dumplings were thick and doughy and did not cook through all the way. Every time I tried something different with the same outcome. Regret and disappointment... One occasion in particular we received some very stale and obviously old crab Rangoon. This was especially concerning because I was literally the first person at the place when it opened up which means these were probably from the day before. Thanks for the leftovers guys... Without fail, if there is a Chinese food restaraunt, there will be a group of people that swear it is "THE BEST" in town. This place is no exception. Trust me though, you could do better. read more

Got 2 orders of general tso's chicken and an order of noodles and when i got to the bottom of the first order of chicken i found a couple pieces of plastic. went back and wanted a refund for everything because i was so grossed out, and they were very rude and said they can only refund one chicken because we already started eating the food. i told them that it was because it was at the bottom, and of course didn't see it until i got there. i ended up leaving with only half of the food refunded upon arguing with them for it. they still didn't believe me even though i brought the plastic with me. very snippy, and not good service. only got the second chicken refunded because i mentioned that they cook it all together. definitely going somewhere else next time. read more

The food took forever to come but if you usually order Chinese delivery, you know it takes forever. I had ordered the steamed dumplings, shrimp with lobster sauce, and the shrimp egg roll. The dumplings were GOOOOODDD, like REAL GOOD. The egg roll was surprisingly tasty compared the other Chinese places I've tried. The shrimp with lobster sauce (which is usually my go-to order) wasn't very good. It had lots of shrimp which was a good thing but overall very bland. Overall I would order from here again. Only reason I am giving 1 star is because my egg rolls were nice and fresh but I ordered orange chicken and the chicken was overcooked and hard.....stale.....I have 3 kids and you know how kids are they wanted to eat then and there so I fed them the rice which was good but they bit into the chicken and said it was "yucky" I didn't have a chance to call them until my kids settled down and got bathed and in bed....thinking it would be an easy call (like any other restaurant in this town) no the lady who answered the phone literally told me they "can't guarantee the freshness of their food after a few hours"! I was very pleased with my order! I got Double Delight, BBQ ribs, fried rice, and sweet donuts. I called the order in and had it delivered, maybe about a half hour or so later. The bone-in ribs were cooked perfectly, and had exactly the right amount of sauce on them. The shrimp in the double delight were huge, and the portion was so big that I split it with my husband..and still had leftovers for breakfast this morning! The fried rice was nothing special, but it was not bad. Same with the donuts, but they really need to be eaten hot. And the price was excellent, I forgot to mention that. China Garden should charge people more money for what they get. I order here at least once a week and their servings are not only generous, but not too oily. Most Chinese restaurants don't really care about the aesthetics of their food, but China Garden makes every effort to make you full for an entire day and keep their food looking fresh. We just received our order and wow...not good! The Egg Rolls are so greasy we were blotting them with napkins before trying to eat them. The Bourbon Chicken should be called Chicken Jerky. It is swimming in a sauce but the chicken is so dry and tough it's ineatable The WonTon soup is fine but the rest of the diner is just really bad. For me, this is a pretty typical, average Chinese food joint. Flavor is good but pretty much the same anywhere you go. Nothing special. Wait time is long like any other Chinese food joint. 45 min to an hour. Prices are eh... typical. Could be better, I guess prices could be considered fair for the hearty portions they give you. All in all its completely typical and doesn't stand out from any others. I only give it three stars because well let's just say when I get that Chinese food craving, it's edible and decent and it's practically inside my neighborhood/subdivision. read more

I ate several pieces before stopping and using my pocketknife to cut apart the rest of it - almost no chicken whatsoever, just fried breading and sauce. Worst I've ever had, unfortunately. I was hoping to have found our new Chinese place b/c it's so convenient to my home. Oh well. It seems like they're skimping as much as possible on the quality so that they can maximize profits. I'll start with the beef and broccoli: I didn't think it was possible to serve beef that's lower quality than you get at fast food places, but they proved me wrong. It's inedible: fatty, devoid of taste, weird texture, and just disgusting. The dish was extremely salty. They somehow managed to serve my favorite meal in an inedible version. We also ordered sweet and sour chicken. Other restaurants will include strips of carrot, pepper, and at least pineapple. This had only bland chicken. And they were very stingy with the sauce: about 4 ounces for a large order. Also stingy with the rice: two tiny containers of rice to accompany two large orders. The spring rolls were just mushy dough with some token filling inside-- also inedible. It tastes like nothing is actually made from scratch there-- like it comes in frozen, pre-cooked, and they just heat it up there. I can go to the frozen entree section at any grocer and get tastier Chinese food at a lower price. I can't believe they're not embarrassed to serve this stuff. Never, ever, again. read more
