Presentation, all of the dishes came out looking very appetizing. Dessert, Lemon Possette, is fabulous! Custard like but creamier/looser towards the bottom with jam and fresh tanneries on top. It's difficult to stop eating! Chris, the owner, took the time to stop at our table and have a lovely conversation with us and we're so glad he created this touch of Monterey (CA) here in central Indiana. Everything was flavorful, and the seafood was delicious. There are some good deals on the menu if you're looking to keep the cost down. However, if you're dining with your partner and both of you order lobster or other premium seafood, plan on spending around $100 or more. For me, it's worth it for a nice seafood dinner. Don't worry if cracking the seafood seems intimidating--they provide scissors and seafood tools at the table to make it much easier. And don't forget to put on the plastic gloves and apron before you dig in, because things can definitely get messy! Once I got back to my room I dug right in, as I was starving after a 3 hour drive from Columbus, Ohio. The first thing I noticed was that I forgot to ask for ketchup for my fries when I asked for utensils. And I'm so glad I remembered to ask for utensils, otherwise that would have gotten messy really quick. It would be really nice if the staff asked about those things for takeout orders. The next thing I noticed was that my fried fish was already soggy. Given that it wasn't ready when I arrived and only five-ish minutes passed between them handing it to me and when I started eating, I was surprised. That said, the parts that were crispy were nice and their tartar sauce was super good. The fries also had a nice seasoning on them. Overall, the experience was fine, which is why I landed on a solid three stars.

At a fine dining establishment, I expect large crab legs with very few, if any, knuckles. This was not the case. I should've asked what the "market price" would be for this menu item because if I had, I likely would not have opted for it. - The bacon-wrapped shrimp, 12 oz filet with garlic butter, and the au gratin potatoes were decent. We still felt as though the quality just wasn't the same as what we were used to on our many prior visits (pre-COVID). This restaurant will not be returning to our list of local favorites, but I will still savor the good times we shared there in the past.

You pick your own seasoning with options of Cajun, Garlic Butter, Garlic Butter with Seasoning, or the Juicy Sauce (which is all of the above). We ordered the juicy sauce. You also select your spice level from mild, medium, hot and extra hot. We got the medium. Your dinner is served in a large boil bag. Dinner comes with a bib and gloves to wear while eating. Did I mention this was extremely casual? The food was served, hot and cooked to order. It had a good flavor. The medium was not very spicy in our opinion. We will probably try the hot the next time.
