Everything we've ordered over the past 3 years has been fresh, greaseless, delicious. While I could make so many suggestions (house special lo mein, house special egg foo yung, crunchy grease-free egg rolls, boneless BBQ riblets...) a special mention must be made of their Hot 'n' Sour soup (with "crunchies" as a topping.). We order 2 or 3 large cartons per order, as it's the most flavorful soup (and puts the over-priced glutinous glop @ PF Chang to shame. YUCK! No idea as to what "that" is.) Fresh, crunchy veggies, flavorful broth. It makes me weep. (OK, due to the "hot" but more so due to its ethereal scrumptiousness.). I'm always on the look out for a good Chinese takeout place and I found my best one yet! I got a little of everything and was a big fan of it all! Sesame chicken was crisp and had great flavor. The shrimp lo mein wasn't slimy and had a good noodle to veggie ratio. The pan fried dumplings were AMAZING! My fave part! The chicken friend rice was good, nothing earth shattering. I would've preferred a little more crust on the chicken. And the spring rolls could've had a little more vegetable. I got the boneless spare ribs one of my favorite things. My wife got bourbon chicken, and hot soup. The soup was loaded with bits but the flavor was very bland, and lacking something. The ribs were good, and so happy they had them. The egg roll was good, not a cabbage log. My wife bourbon chicken was large chunks, little to large wish they were cut smaller. It also needed a lot more sauce they were a little dry. The fried rice was very disappointing, it lacked flavor and not sure if it was under cooked or over cooked as the texture was a little crunchy. read more

I went to China King 3894 S. kings Hwy in Myrlte Beach for the first time. I was greeted by a very sweet lady when I arrived. I was very skeptical about trying this place because being from the north It seems very hard to find a good Chinese restaurant here in the south. I just recently moved to Myrtle beach and was told not to have high expectations for a good Chinese food place. My parents are visiting from NH and wanted to try out China king based on good reviews and we were all pleasantly surprised how good the food was. It's a small, hole in the wall spot, which are the places that have the best food! It was so good that we ordered twice during their 4 day stay. Oh and did I mention portions? Their dinner combos make 2 full meals, and we all have big appetites! The prices are also more than fair- will make this a new regular take out spot. Was looking for a decent chinese place in the Myrtle Beach area. This place had pretty good reviews so I decided to give it a shot. They have your pretty typical chinese, chinese/american dishes. I went with the orange chicken lunch combo. The price said $6.50 for the lunch combo but for some reason the lady charged $8.00 "because of taxes." The food is made fresh. The sauce had a good flavor and wasn't overly sweet. Chicken wasn't overcooked. Rice was good. Overall I'll give it a 3.5/5. 4 for the food, 3 for the service. read more
