This has been our favorite and regular place to pick up chinese take out. The food is consistent and you can customize your food. You want food spicier, ask for it, you want softer broccoli, less oil, more sauce, just all i ask. They've been able to accommodate all my requests. Our family favorite is chicken and broccoli. Other great items are the bbq ribs, buddhist delight, lo mein, moo shu chicken, chicken wings, wonton and hot and sour soup. Can you tell we take out from here a lot? The owners are super friendly and always remember me and my kids. Even during covid, she asks after them and tosses them fortune cookies. Some nights they are super busy, but they are always upfront about the delay and are a great local business. Lunch specials are fantastic and a great way to try everything on the menu at a great price.

Quick and pleasant service. I ordered Sesame Chicken with white rice and it was a good. Also, ordered an egg roll (which was good) but ate before taking a picture! I'm planning to try more choices in the future.

    Chicken and broccoli

Ordered for the first time we had the following: BBQ spare ribs... they were average Pork fried dumplings... they were good Pepper steak with two dollars extra beef ...NO Flavor... I'm not sure how this could be but there was no flavor to this dish very bland. Chicken and broccoli...NO flavor at all very very bland.. We finished the dumplings and the spareribs but ended up throwing out the main entrées. I had high hopes for this place based on the reviews... definitely will not be ordering takeout here again.

I really like Hunan Village down in Hartsdale for their formal sit down vibe, Lychee cocktails and menu selections. But as long as I've being in North White Plains, searched high and low for that "Chinese Take Out" feel- that I knew so well from living in The Bronx. You know which ones I'm talking about: Formica counter, huge back-to-back menu with 'Pt' and 'Qt' sizes and that open kitchen with woks. It was the right time to branch out and place an order for pick-up pre-snowstorm. I almost always judge a Chinese restaurant by how they cook their broccoli. So all bets were off. Liked the Chinese lantern welcoming you to King. No sit down. Big counter, decent kitchen and clean with a Bamboo plant adding a fresh feel. China King may have looked like that typical 'Take Out' spot, but they got their own thing going with more Lanterns inside and a colorful take to them. Tanya (spelling?) handled the woks with speed, cooked the food and I was heading home with an order of Plain Broccoli, Vegetable Fried Rice and a few other things for The Man in no time. My Broccoli turned out to be very good as well as the Veggie Fried Rice- and sure the rest of their menu will be very good also. Hunan is good and we'll still visit. But let's be honest, it'll dent your pocket a bit. Prices here? Puhlease... definitely much better.

Well, almost finished while on a stake out. Great lunch

It's not worth the wait. Very unorganized it seems. Definitely don't like cold food. They lied about the wait time , it was triple.

If you're a grubhub driver don't come here, I place an order and it took them more than an hour to prepare it. Not worth the hassle.

The…read morerestaurant itself has a great ambiance, a little dark (in a good way), and probably great at night. The service was excellent, with not only our waiter helping, but food runners and bussers assisting as well. And the food was delicious! The soup dumplings were delicious- I think I could just eat a big serving of those. My seafood hotpot was full of wonderful shrimp, scallops and much more, all very tasty. They said it would be "spicy", but it really wasn't very, so if you don't like extremely spicy food, you'll be ok (But maybe ask them for it to be a little spicer than normal if you do like very spicy food). I would recommend a visit ASAP! Don't wait for years like I did. I missed out!

Omanderine in Hartsdale turned out to be the perfect choice. We started with the classic soup dumplings--there's definitely an art to eating them without spilling the broth or burning your mouth, but that's part of the fun. They were delicious. We also had the vegetable dumplings, which were just as satisfying. For our main dishes, we ordered the beef short ribs, which were generously portioned and full of flavor, along with beef chow mein and vegetable and egg fried rice. My personal favorite was the chicken and broccoli in a rich sauce which really stood out. The service was excellent. Our waiter was attentive, offered great recommendations, and even brought me a fork when it became clear my chopstick skills needed some work. The décor transports you and complements the dining experience beautifully. The décor makes you feel like you've been transported somewhere far more exotic than Westchester, which pairs perfectly with the food and the overall vibe. We came for a break from pasta. We left planning our return.

The food wasn't bad--it was simply mediocre and underwhelming. The biggest issue was that several dishes were underseasoned and lacked the bold flavors I expect from a good Cantonese restaurant. The Yang Chow fried rice was especially bland and needed more seasoning. The har gow and several of the dim sum items also fell short of expectations. The steamed spare ribs and beef chow fun were okay but nothing memorable. The salt and pepper shrimp was probably the highlight of the meal, but it wasn't unique or better than what I've had at many other Chinese restaurants. Overall, the food was decent, but considering the restaurant's reputation, I expected much more. I don't regret trying it, but I wouldn't make a special trip back.

However, the rest of the broad and deep menu is excellent as well. The rich Sweet Corn Chicken Soup is sweet, thick (but not gummy) and quite tasty. The pan fried dumplings were outstanding. They were perfectly cooked and well stuffed with minced pork and veggies. The Honey Walnut Shrimp were amazing - plump and perfectly dressed. Finally, the Sesame Chicken was amazing. Perfectly cooked but the best thing is that the chicken was moist, rich and flavorful. So, if we're ever back in White Plains, you know where we'll be dining.
