No dry noodles for toppings and not hot mustard sauce either.. wonton soup had none of what should be in it... oh yes, there was a toenail sliver of a carrot!! Our first visit we ordered Kung pow chicken, mild no peanuts, crispy beef and House fried rice. They were all un impressive. I've never had Kung pow chicken that only has chicken sauce and canned chestnuts in it the fried rice they don't put any Chinese sausage in it or barbecue pork in it it's very plain and the crispy beef is a four in my opinion. I've been to China Mama several times at their other locations and the food is always amazing. This location is no different. Every dish is fresh, flavorful, and consistently delicious. I know some of the negative reviews mention service issues, but based on my experience everything seems to have been ironed out. Sandy is a fantastic waitress! She's friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The service was excellent from start to finish, and the entire staff was welcoming. We love the Shanghai plaza location and we're excited about the new Henderson spot near our home. It did not disappoint! We ordered pork soup dumplings, pork and cauliflower, green beans, chicken chow main, orange chicken and white rice. This is next level Chinese cuisine and better than every other place in the area. I was looking forward to trying their Crispy Beef, but unfortunately they gave my order to another table by mistake (I don't know how, there weren't a lot of people in the restaurant) so by the time I received my order, the rest of my party had already finished eating (yes, that is how long it took)....so, at that point I just asked them to just put it into a take out container because I didn't want to have everyone sit around and wait for me to eat - I'm guessing I didn't get the full portion that I would have received if I had eaten it there, since the takeout container looked small. It still tasted okay, but it probably would have tasted better if it hadn't been steaming inside a take-out container. They did try and make it up to me by giving me a small slice of some sort of free cheese cake....which was okay, but not something I would probably order again. read more

My husband and I went there yesterday at about 4 o'clock best time to go is between three and five. The service was wonderful and the food was delicious. Kathy was our waitress. She was the best my husband drinks a lot of water and she refilled his glass about five times. She even made fresh tea for us. It's a tiny place so go during off time for best service. read more

This place is amazing! Went here for lunch and the food and service were flawless. I enjoyed every dish we ordered and Kathy gave us the best service I've had in years. We had the crispy beef, beef chow fun, Szechuan dumplings, and egg yolk shrimp. If I had to choose a favorite, I wouldn't be able to do it...they were all incredible. Just got back this morning from China Mama and I have to tell you, hands down this is the best Chinese restaurant in Vegas. It opens at 11AM but you better get there by 10:45 or else you end up waiting for a while. We ordered the Scallion Pancake, Lamb Chops, Pork Chops and Chicken Fried Rice. The service is excellent with wait staff always asking if everything is OK and always providing refills on our beverages. The food was fresh, delicious and arranged beautifully. The portion sizes were large, in fact we had to take home much of our food. One suggestion, order the Sesame Balls w/Lava Custard Filling as soon as you get there, it is the most amazing dessert there but they run out fast. So happy they opened in Henderson, we will be back again soon! read more

I was so excited for this location to open, as it's so close to my house!! And it did not disappoint. Everything we ordered was amazing. The chicken chow mein was sooo flavorful and there was veggies in every bite, which I loved! We got the soup dumplings as well and the green beans. Allll delicious. Food was amazing, you get the same great flavors like you do in their Las Vegas locations. Some of the dishes tasted even better here! The staff were quick and attentive, and always made sure we were having a great experience. Don't let the size of the interior fool you, there is still plenty of seating for many to come and enjoy! I went here yesterday, and as always the food is awesome! The food came out fast. I took my dad, it was his first time, and he loved the food too. That was the good. When we went in, it was very warm, I was next to the A/C control and it said 88 degrees! I don't know what happened maybe it broke, but ya that made the atmosphere not great. I had also seen other reviews regarding waiting a long time to be sat even though there were tables. I was hoping it wouldn't happen with us, but it did. There were 4 tables open but we waited about 20 minutes and then got to sit down. It seems like maybe they need more staff upfront? I'm hoping this will change because I would still like to come here. read more

What a terrible first time experience! First it was 100 degrees inside this restaurant. I don't know if their AC was broke or what but, it was extremely uncomfortable inside. I walk in and to the left is a man behind a small counter helping someone. So I get behind the customer behind me and wait. When I get up to the counter I tell the young man 2 please and he doesn't say a word he just points to the iPad to his left. I walk over and realize I'm supposed to get on a wait list. The guy must have heard me call him rude because he then came over and explained what I already knew. We get seated and an older lady bring us our ice water. Then it takes ten minutes it's before a young man comes up and takes our order or so we thought. We ordered the dumplings for an appetizer the orange chicken, walnut shrimp and crispy beef. 45 mi it's later we still have NO FOOD. And I start to notice that people who have been seared after us are getting their food. So we say something to the server. She's also what we ordered. (Not a good sign). We tell her our order again. She walks away. We watch her deliver food to two more tables before she comes back and says that they are making our order now. She walks away again, then the kid who took our order comes to the table after he over hears me saying he clearly didn't know what he was talking about. He says. They are making your order and then walks away. Doesn't ask if we need more water. Or anything. Just walks away. Then another ten minutes it's later the female server walks back up with the dumplings and says that the kid who took the order never hit send oh his IPAD and that's why the order was never sent. She puts the dumplings down and walks away. Doesn't offer any soy sauce or anything else. Then ANOTHER 20 minutes goes by and she walks by our tables. Sees that there's still no food at it and proceed to yell at the kitchen staff while pointing at our table. Then she comes back to the table again and says they are doing your order first. We then see two more tables with people who were seated after us get their food. 2 out of 3 things finally show up. The food was good but, we were hungry. We finish the orange chicken and walnut shrimp and then await a Kroger 10 minutes. We finally asked if we were getting the crispy beef or if they just wanted to take it off the ticket. The server tells us that it takes longer because it's fried. really? The other two dishes are also fried bans then tossed in their respective sauces but, okay. We finally get our crispy beef and ask for a to go box because we can't finish it. The server comes with the check and tells us that she took off the can of coke I ordered and took of my wife sparking water because we had such a horrible experience. What a JOKE! Terrible service! If you want food that's just as good go to GOLDEN FLOWER. they've also been in town for 30 years and know what they're doing. read more

Great food and service! We have always enjoyed the Spring Mountain location of China Mama, so when we heard that they are opening the new one, of course, we had to visit..And they didn't disappoint! Majority of their dishes are not available in most Chinese restaurants in town, love the presentation and the quality! The place is small, so be ready for a short wait. Ate at China Mama on Wednesday June 24th first time in a long time used to go to their original location on Jones Boulevard in Chinatown this one the food is excellent prices are a little high on certain items portions are generous we had five items and they were all very good the cucumber salad with garlic the soup dumplings with a pork filling which is a trademark of theirs the chow mein house chow mein very good we had a sizzling rice soup with seafood could have used more Seafood and finally the tofu spicy was excellent that was our favorite service was excellent staff very attentive we were seated by a gentleman named Otto who kept this waiting only about 10 to 12 minutes we were taking care of by several staff members one in particular Kathy a nice lady who packed out order for us and was very sweet will return very interesting menu and it's a good choice check was just under $100 with the tip but we ordered a lot food comes out very fast read more
