restaurant is clean, spacious, with fun music playing in the bg. they have two set menus - A and B. menu includes lots of drinks, 3 soups (1 per person), and plenty of sides. service is friendly.

Excellent service! Wendy was very attentive and professional. Yummy food. The music was a great and not to loud you can have a conversation. TV's on the walls are a nice touched. I like where they were placed.

It's a nice little quiet place that Remained steady busy throughout the 1.5 hours we were there. Server Myra was a riot. She's was funny and did a great job. The conveyor belt was a cool unique concept when receiving your raw meats to cook. The food was really good and the menu was quite simple without have too many options. One thing I wasn't too fond of was the kimchi soup as it was overpowered by too much red chili where one spoonful, made me choke as the chili hit my throat and the broth was bland and super red. Same For the spicy beef short rib. Otherwise everything was delicious

Stopped by on the way to Reno, but happened to be a great place. Lunch specials for two people at just 30! Ask for discount at happy hour, I didn't get it. But plenty of meat with great seasoning/ marinade! Awesome, plus pick all the sides you want and nothing you don't. I thought it was fantastic deal and I cooked it to perfection. Very satisfying lunch!

Back today for lunch. We opted for the $29.99 lunch per person. Love the most is the fact they have rice paper. It's not available at most places in Henderson and LV. Everything came out in a timely manner. Meats are good. Shrimp are not deshell but then I enjoyed that crunch. We enjoyed another lunch here. Still very consistent with the food and service. You will not be delayed in receiving both.

Drinking is not drinkable as the cups or the water pitcher was not properly clean and sanitizers. I could smelled some oil greasy in the water. A bowl of rice was so wet and mushy. Japchae, mushroom mixture was burned and bitter. Service was not great as I asked for a spoon then a server questioned me if it's not in there and I said no, those was only a fork as we were 3 people at our table. She then asking me again twice. I said it politely twice as I needed a spoon for a kimchi soup. It used to be good at the first started. But it doesn't seem like Korean BBQ anymore, as the servers and all worker here may not be able to understand true Korean culture, cuisine and foods. Never recommend or coming back. Music in the background not matching the vibe. I am feeling like I came into other type of restaurant beside Asian restaurant.

Wow, they've really gone down hill since last year when I was here. Very few items on the menu for the grill. The beef bulgogi used to be thick beef, now it's the same thin crap as the brisket. But the tacos have the right, thick bulgogi! Why? Teriyaki chicken lacked flavor. No more shrimp (at least not at $30.99 lunch.) Price went wayyyy up. Quality went wayyy down. We won't be back.

We couldn't wait to leave a review about last night! We do "kbbq AYCE crawls" often, and this spot brings a good time! You can count on the conveyor belt brining out your next row of orders. We appreciate how they cut their rice paper in smaller pieces. Don't be shy with the plum wine, brings the whole vibe together! Our server and now friend, Mayra, made it a great time for us and everyone around us! Thanks again and until next time! Only rec I would give (esp because it's not common anymore in many spots) is no more foil paper under the hot corn cheese. Foil pan dishes maybe but the paper rips into the appetizer.

Rice paper. Any more than this will put them out of business

After asking for 2 orders of steamed rice and rice paper 3 separate times they finally showed up with an order of each and a korean potato salad. Apparently giving our table more than 1 1/2 sheets of rice paper will put them out of business. This used to be a great restaurant. Must be under new ownership because this was completely different from all my other visits. Portions were very small, service was slow. Cant see myself bringing my family back after this experience

Mr Kim’s Korean BBQ Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Mr Kim’s Korean BBQ

    Which sides are gluten free?

How big of a party can you accommodate?

About 5 to 6 in atable from my past experience, but I think most people were comfortable about 4 adults to a table.

    Is Mr. Kim's kid friendly?

Yes! Children are priced by height as well, over 5 feet is full price.

I want to make a reservation for 7 pm, 3 person but the phone number is not working?

It gets busy in the phone, but you should be fine if you arrive 30 minutes before hand.

Do we need to make reservations before we go or do you accept walk ins?

Yes, we were asked if we have a reservation and we said no and they told us that they have to put us on the reservation list and check first at the reservations are coming and if not then we're able to come in but there needs to be something on here…

How much for you charge for a five year old toddler?

Children under 14 years old we go by their height. 5ft. & Under = 50% off…

    Do you accept solo diners?

    Yes

Do you have to make reservations? Is the lunch menu choice A or B?

I was shown menu A as the lunch optional pricing. That was $19.95. Me and my husband just went for menu B because it had meats on it that we knew we enjoyed. You can eat from any menu and just pay the higher price if you want.

Do they have other Korean dishes (bibimbop, sundubu, japchae...ect) or, just BBQ?

Yes we have many sides and soups that compliment our BBQ selection. Soft Tofu Soup, Kimchi Soup, Soybean Paste Soup along with 18 different sides like Gyoza, japchae, chicken wings, bulgogi tacos, bulgogi fries and etc.

She made things really easy for us - my mom is in a wheelchair, so bringing her to restaurants can be challenging, especially a KBBQ spot, which has big grills in the middle of the table. They had an open 8-person table, but she decided to give us the table so it would be easier for mom even though we were only 2 people and it was a Friday night during dinnertime. We really appreciated that. The food was good as usual! We kicked it off with Bulgogi, but TBH I usually just stick to Brisket, because it's easy to cook and comes out perfect. We love the salads here! Salads at a KBBQ?! Yup, the flavor is so legit. I like to mix the house salad + green onion salad, because it has sprouts in there too. The sweet vinegar flavor with Korean spice is such a good flavor. Instead of eating rice, I just eat brisket with salad. So good! Also, we love the Melona ice cream they give you for dessert! This is much better than the generic bs ice cream that other Korean BBQ spots give you! Also, you can't beat THE VALUE here. The Top KBBQ special starts at only $23.99

With the amount of korean bbq places in town, there's no room for this type of malarkey. Sat at our table for 10 minutes, finally received our water. It was a good mix of food with plenty of flavor. The hot stone keeps the food very hot, which made it difficult to eat. So, next time, I would get the Classic Bowl or Plate instead. The complimentary, self-serve Miso Soup, Barley Tea, and Lemon Iced Water are very good. Overall, the meal is high in sodium, but I only eat this way occasionally. I do appreciate that the food contains no MSG (monosodium glutamate). Service was friendly, and there was a pleasant flow of happy patrons on a Saturday morning. The place is immaculate. This one-of-a-kind business, at this single location, is obviously a labor of love for the owners.

We both ordered bibimbap in your old school dolsots. Unfortunately the rice was not crispy on the bottom like you'd get at a classic Korean restaurant. The toppings, while fun to customize, are usually standard when served traditionally. I didn't think the flavor was as good as the real deal served in more traditional restaurants. I got the beef and my husband got the pork. The beef was missing the right flavor. The pork tasted better but I'm not a pork person. Normally bibimbap has spinach but this wasn't listed as an option. Egg is also normally a regular topping, not an extra. When you mixed everything up, it just didn't have the right overall taste I'd get at authentic Korean restaurants. Overall though it wasn't bad. If I were to come back, I'd save my money and not bother with the dolsot option. It did not enhance this meal. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 3 is the fun ambiance. Each table has little games and magazines. While you wait you can play. There's also self serve miso soup and barley tea. Service is not bad. The restaurant is very clean. We were very entertained waiting for food. I wouldn't mind coming back.

Which makes perfect sense now. Unfortunately I was in bit of a rush so I got my order to go. I kept it basic with the Beef Brisket soup which came with a side of rice, kimchi and some dipping sauce. The owner did explain that I would need to season to taste, so once I adding the salt and chili paste as well as the dipping sauce in.... I devoured it.
