We came in for the soft opening and well worth the wait. There's a Yelp waitlist to make it easy. Food is fresh and authentic. Ordered the braised beef noodle, crispy beef, cumin lamb, and green beans. Loved how they have kids plates for littles! Will definitely be back to dine in or take out. read more

FINALLY, a good Chinese spot in Henderson. One thing Henderson lacks is good dining establishments especially Chinese food. Dare I say PF Changs is the best we have and that's freezer meals. We're thrilled that China Mama has opened and we don't have to drive to the other locations. Hardest thing about visiting is choosing what to order because everything is so good!! The best fried rice, won tons, walnut shrimp and crispy beef are a favorite. All amazing. Service was amazing as well. I wish i could've remember our servers name. My only thing to add is I wish they offered take out. I do however understand it's opening week and I'm sure they will add it soon. read more

We went there for a private tasting event and the food were delicious as always like their other locations. We ordered the Crispy pork, new item Spicy Fish Filet, Black Pepper Beef Udon Noodle, Beef Pancake Roll, new item Glaze Rock Prawn, and Stir Fried A Choy. They were all recommendated by our server and didnt disappoint. The place is beautiful with open kitchen and new design. I was genuinely excited to see China Mama open a new location in Henderson, so I stopped by around 5:45 PM to check it out. As expected for a fresh opening, the restaurant was already buzzing. Every table was full, and several guests were waiting to be seated. all signs of a place the neighborhood has been eager to welcome. Since I was only looking to place a to go order, I didn't check in for a table. I was told by an employee the wait for takeout would be about an hour, which wasn't an issue. What was disappointing, this employee was on break occupying a four top table to eat while paying customers continued to wait for seating. With the dining room already at capacity, seeing a full table used for staff meals instead of guests created an avoidable bottleneck and left a poor impression. read more

Got excited to try this new location. The food service was quite fast. We ordered crispy beef, walnut shrimp, special chow mein, orange chicken, and rice. Everything tasted perfectly except for the CHOW MEIN which tasted like a melted CANDLE WAX in every bite, we had to return it. Yikes. Another let down is that the place is very small, so we had to wait for around 10 minutes to be seated. The ventilation system needs to get sorted out too as even with electric fans around, the whole place was still hot and it's not really comfortable eating when it's hot. read more

What a splendid addition to the neighborhood!! I knew it was going to be good, having visited other locations in the valley. It was great!! Both Sandy, and Kathy, were very attentive, and pleasant, as we made our choices off the menu. The soup dumplings! They came out piping hot, steaming in the basket. (Eat them in one bite, after they cool off. No mess. And the goodness makes it all, to your mouth.) The beef rolls were delicious. Crunchy, fresh, and with the sauce, made for perfect appetizers. We then had the fish with mustard (not the condiment. Greens.) Such a clean, tangy, broth. With just the right amount of heat. It can easily feed 3-4. I am a big fan of China Mama, so I was excited about a branch opening in our area. We came in around 11:20 on a Sunday. There were at least 4 groups of people in front of us with 2 per group based on the waitlist. What I noticed was, there were 6 tables that were not occupied, but the hostess said 35-45 minutes wait. I was a talking to someone in the waiting area, and he's said he was a togo order, and was told it would be around 45 minutes to an hour. The other groups in front of us said they have been waiting for 20 minutes. My wife decided to leave and eat somewhere else. I DO NOT RECOMMEND EATING HERE, unless you are willing to wait an hour to get seated. read more

No dry noodles for toppings and not hot mustard sauce either.. wonton soup had none of what should be in it... oh yes, there was a toenail sliver of a carrot!! All the food was delicious from this first visit to China Mama! We so happened to come on their official grand opening for their Henderson location! They've had a few days beforehand as their soft opening days so it was exciting to try it out for the first time on their official grand opening day. Came around 3:30pm and there was no wait. Parking was readily available as there is lots of parking around the restaurant. Our party of two was seated immediately at a small single table for a Wednesday afternoon. Towards the end of our meal, all the tables started filling up around us. Our server, Kathy, referenced that it has been a bit busy during regular lunch and dinner times. They do have an in-person Yelp waitlist, but no virtual waitlist as of 6/11/2026. She mentioned that soon they may accept phone reservations for larger parties, but it might still be in the works. I appreciate that the size of the space inside is not gigantic. Maybe total capacity is around 60-75 people? I could be totally wrong. Kathy was simply amazing. She was welcoming and kind throughout our entire meal. She checked in with us and was attentive to refilling waters and making sure the food was all good. She was great at offering suggestions for what to order. We ordered the following dishes: Sizzling Rice with Seafood Soup - Really good table presentation with a very mild seafood flavor. It has the sizzling rice squares, broccoli, bok choy, shrimp, and some sort of fish. Good serving for 2-4 people. Definitely add some soy sauce or chili oil from the table to add flavor. Signature Salted Egg Yolk Prawns - Simply amazing! The prawns are cooked and fried perfectly with the coating on the outside that just sticks to your lips! They were very flavorful and juicy on the inside. No complaints or issues overall. Crispy Beef - Really nice contrast to the other savory dishes. Slight sweetness with the crispiness, but not overly sweet. Very crunchy and there is a lot to share to the table. Mama Special Mixed Fruit Tea - This was very refreshing to combat the outdoor heat. A bit sweet with lots of different notes of fruit flavors. A little expensive for no refills, but on-par with similar drinks at other restaurants so who am I to nitpick. Would definitely get it again. Unfortunately, they had no pork soup dumplings this day, which was sad! Everyone around us who I overheard attempting to order them were a bit disappointed upon hearing this as it wasn't even dinner yet! The only downside to me personally was the heat inside the restaurant. The door was left propped open the entire time we were there and it didn't feel as if there was AC, so it was toasty. I did notice that there was a bit of disconnect for people coming in and entrance hospitality. Sometimes there would be no people to greet people/groups coming in and they were faced with just an iPad/tablet check in. Sometimes a server would assist if there was someone to notice, but it is a bit awkward to have people come in and stand around waiting for someone to help. I can see this being a problem when it is very busy with lots of people coming in and out during lunch and dinner, but I am not sure! Would definitely return again to try all the variety of different dishes they have to offer. I wish them the best of luck at this new location! read more

Three stars only because after two visits we could not get into the new location, friday the 26th about 5.10 came in. and have to sign into the waitlist app. did that and were 7th in line got 15 to 25 minutes, crowded in lobby and young man kept telling people to stand outside so we stood just outside the door, few people came out, checked waitlist, still 7th, went back in about 540, showed we were 6th in line, all the people who were in lobby were now seated and still showed 6 in line then my phone dinged and said we were clicked to another 40 minutes, asked the young man up front, he said very busy and having problem with ap and started seating folks who came after us, talked to another couple with same problem, so Sunday 28th, we decided to try again, got there at 7 pm 30 minute wait on waitlist, same deal gets close to 7.30 add 40 minutes with empty tables in site, drove to the Rustic House and has a banging dinner read more

Our first visit we ordered Kung pow chicken, mild no peanuts, crispy beef and House fried rice. They were all un impressive. I've never had Kung pow chicken that only has chicken sauce and canned chestnuts in it the fried rice they don't put any Chinese sausage in it or barbecue pork in it it's very plain and the crispy beef is a four in my opinion. We love the Shanghai plaza location and we're excited about the new Henderson spot near our home. It did not disappoint!
