They were crispy but meaty without being ridiculously oily. They were seasoned. They were lovely. To accompany tbis I had to get the garlic green beans, naturally which too hit the spot. This place was packed when I stopped by and I definitely want to try more from the menu.

Altogether, it was quite a decent amount for 3 ppl, we ended up taking back leftovers. The lamb kebabs were great, perfectly tender and well seasoned without being too salty. I can totally see why the eggplant is recommended by other yelpers--it has a light crisp on the outside, not too mushy. The other dishes, Kung pao chicken and salt and pepper fish also were well seasoned and also lightly crispy. While it's probably not the healthiest with the crispy fried texture, I think they were worth the taste, and I appreciate the addition of a few veggies in both dishes. Hard to pick a favorite since they were all good, but if I had to choose, would recommend ordering the kebabs and the eggplant. Service was decent, and the food came out pretty fast. Parking readily available as there's a parking lot outside. Definitely will consider coming back, and maybe even trying their takeout.

As far as major cities go I've had Chinese food in NYC Chinatown, SF Chinatown, Dallas, and…read moreHouston. Li Wah does not disappoint! Authentic as can be as far as aesthetics, service, and food. The pork buns may be some of the best I've had and on par with anything better. The texture was perfect moist, soft, and airy. The pork did not deviate from well done traditional dim sum and there was no surprise flavor alteration. The pork was sliced, not scrappings, well cooked, and fresh. The wonton soup was good, I've had better, but really good. The chicken low mein was good, I've had better, but it shouldn't disappoint you at all! The dumplings had a great flavor profile with a welcoming hint of ginger. If you're looking for authentic Chinese food look no further!

There was one particular time dinning here when the service was terrible, our wait time was egregiously long, and to top it off, the staff were really rude to my parents (the nicest, calmest people). That self-induced ban lasted almost 2 decades and I came back in 2022 at the invitation of my daughter's friend's family. The place was SWARMING and we had to wait for our table. There is free parking but it's limited and usually full up on the weekend. Cart service was quick but I had to go over to the dessert ones to get them to come to our table. Offerings were pretty standard and thankfully, the taste was overall pretty good. Nothing was cold, everything was steaming hot. Wish they had a few more items to select from. The restaurant space should be expanded by now since they are so popular. It's impossible to walk around with all the big tables and people squeezed together. Afterwards, I bought all the kids boba smoothies from their bar in the corner (smart thing to have apart from the dim sum). They upped their prices over the years but portions are the same. Still more affordable than Lao Sichuan in Pinecrest but not impressed with the auto 18% added to the bill (because...weekends?). Cleveland needs more dim sum options! I have dined here for dinner once upon a time as well and I remember the dishes being pretty good and authentic but those memories are from circa 1999-2000 so back in ancient times.

We ordered the rare beef noodle soup, a dish with spicy fish, and a clay pot brisket dish. Rare beef noodle soup: (3/5) This dish came with sliced rare beef, onions, bean sprouts, noodles, veggies, and a few other things. The soup was kind of bland and the beef portions were kind of small. The noodles were also average. Spicy fish dish: (5/5) It was indeed spicy and the fish and vegetables were delicious. The fish was tender and had a nice texture unlike some other restaurants that just heat things up in a bag. Brisket clay pot: (5/5) The brisket was super tender and tasty. The vegetables and radish that came with it also had a nice flavor. I know few restaurants that can make this dish as good as this one. Service: (4/5) Our server came to refill water frequently and checked in on us. Ambiance: (3/5) It was nice and quiet since we came close to closing time. One of the employees was eating in the back. The interior was clean though the bathrooms were kind of wet and they had no paper towels and had a moldy hand dryer. Just so you know, they don't have hot tea for free.

All the food is exactly as I remember, great quality and freshly made. Pad Thai was amazing, such good flavors and texture, just very fresh! I recommend everything we ate, of course very safe. One dish I'd say for sure is the Mongolian beef! The meat was so tender, so unreal! Finally the atmosphere, as you look around, it's truly a melting pot of cultures. You know it's good when customers from every corner of the world is represented in this restaurant!
