Salty donuts and HAIR! Hair?!? Get in line.

Their food is good. I ordered their "Chinese donuts" they are covered in SALT! They are supposed to be covered in sugar. The people are very nice and delivery is quick. I do NOT recommend their donuts. They come with salt and hair.

I'll be the sole contrarian and actually give this place a decent review. This isn't a terrible restaurant and people are quick to emphasize China Queen's flaws while overlooking their strengths. The inside of the restaurant is, admittedly, past its prime. I'm sure the dining area was very nice back when they first opened, but the managers must have neglected performing regular upkeep and over the years everything has fallen into disrepair. The food, however, is as good as it ever was. Wilkes-Barre is filled with Chinese takeout and buffets, but if you want a nice, inexpensive dine-in restaurant then China Queen is worth a visit.

Fried Chicken (extremely tough and greasy w/yellowish meat)

One of my favorite Chinese rest. In the neighborhood. The bbq ribs and rice is very good. They also have speedy delivery so no long wait.

I know they're a local favorite, I know they have their devoted followers, but I really do feel like it's one of the more unique pizza offerings in our area. We got takeout and it was ready right on time. I hesitate to say it, but I mean it in the most delicious, addictive way; it's like a thinner, tastier, less stick-to-the-roof-of-your-mouth-ish Nardone's style (in shape and feel), with a more complex cheese build. It's a hybrid tray/bar pie vibe, and you'll wonder how many cuts you can take before others do the math. My son ordered the cheesesteak; I had a hard time verbalizing 'just steak and cheese' but check that picture out, I think he's onto something. The wing sauces don't feel weighed down by butter or additives; they're bright, flavorful and unique blends that you can experiment with, since you can get orders as small as six bone-in wings. One of the sauces we tried was Szechuan orange, almost reminiscent of Asian duck; sweet and tangy with a little peppery zing, the boneless bites come SAUCED. I still prefer the regular wings. And it would be criminal not to mention Grandma Kelsey's Pizza, which might not adhere strictly to the Grandma lineage (whatever that is) but is certainly in my top 3 grandma pies locally; really incredible!

It's a large dining area and nicely decorated with Turkish flair. The blues/rock music playing in the background was not what you would expect, but very enjoyable. The service was good, but it did take a while to get the bill when leaving. My lentil soup was good and perfect for the cold evening. I had the Karnijarick which is eggplant stuffed with ground lamb bathed in a tomato-based sauce. Flavor was good and not oversalted, but light on spices. It was served with white rice and grilled veggies. My wife had the lamb shank which was a bit tough and too light on seasoning. The salad was good. My favorite was the naan type bread serves with the meals. Overall, enjoyable, but not a great value.

Now I heard the local talk of this establishment was having some real, delicious food. So, you know when the chance arose, I was there. No because it was unexpected this is a short video showing off my dinner, the meatloaf dinner. With this particular dinner you have your choice of potato, my choice was their fresh cut homemade fries, yep, I added the gravy. This was very succulent. baked to perfection, you tasted the seasonings, the gravy. The appetizer was the nacho cheese platter where the chips were toasted, and the cheese gave it that extra flavor. I did have their soup which I forgot the name, sorry, but OMG this was also very delicious, we will be back. From service to the food 5 out of 5!
