We live in Murfreesboro, and we've yet to find a decent Chinese restaurant. For my husband's birthday, I was determined that I was going to find one, so I started scouring reviews. I came across China Spring, and with so many good reviews, I thought it would be worth the 35 minute drive. It turned out to be a disappointment. This place is just like any other Chinese takeout place I've ever been too. I can say that the food was nice and hot, and the portions were good, but everything tasted just the same as every other place. Their General Tso's was soggy, and the beef and broccoli was bland. The egg rolls were the best thing we ate. I would definitely try it again if we were in the area, but it's not worth going out of the way for. Also, as another reviewer mentioned, there were signs (sheets of paper written on with marker) all over the place, saying things like, "If you order water and get soda, you will be double charged!" This is a GREAT neighborhood Chinese joint! The food is reliable and always good. I would not really recommend eating in as the decor leaves a lot to be desired, but for takeout you cannot beat it. That coupled with the fact that it is a quaint family-owned restaraunt and the counter girl knows me and my order by heart makes this a sure thing dinner stop! Spent 45$ on what I thought was going to be a lot of food turns out I didn't get 3 of the items and the containers that I thought was normal size was "mini" size. Not to mention the beef and steak we got barely any beef all onions and peppers. And on top of all that the phone number to the restaurant just so happens to not work! I ate here because of all the good reviews however it wasn't that great. I had chicken and snow peas and it was absolutely tasteless. I had to drown it soy sauce to make it edible . Luckily I had a backup of sweet and sour chicken and you can't screw that up and they did not. I will not be visiting this place again. read more

My husband and I travel to Nashville frequently and ordered take out from this place because the reviews were so high. We weren't staying close by but didn't mind driving out of our way for good Chinese. Let me tell you this place was an awful disappointment. It was by far the worst Chinese food I've ever had. The dumplings in my soup were hard and cold. The egg roll was chewy and tough. The orange chicken tasted like someone mixed orange juice and ketchup together and threw it on some chicken. It was GROSS. I'm not sure where all the good reviews are coming from unless our meal was a fluke or they were having an off day. We will definitely not be going back when we're in town. read more

Its all been redone. Not only do they have the original Chinese menu but now the have pizza, burgers, pasta and more. Since I guess they bought the sicily pizza next door. I enjoy there food and always get their lunch specials. It a lot of food for a good price. I end up sharing it or saving it for later. read more

I have tried just about every one of this Fast Food Chinese Restaurants and most of the ones that have Buffets. This China Springs it top notch and it's very near to where I live. So far, I have only ordered the Sweet & Sour Shrimp. I haven't tried anything else because it is literally the best I have ever had. The Restaurant is Clean, the people that work there are friendly, the food is good and their prices fall in line with other restaurants of the same type. This place is very busy in the evenings, but the wait time is not bad whether you called your order in early or placed it there. Someday soon I will try another dish as I am convinced that it will be good too. read more

Nowhere have I seen that combination but it works very well. the General Tso's is some of the best I have had. The Singapore Mai Fun was pretty good also besides being a tad dry. We order Chinese takeout at work every Friday. We place a huge order and they always have it ready in about 30 min. They separate each order so we can all pay for them separately. I relied on Yelp to find this hidden gem and BOY was I pleased. I went with my sister and brother-in-law. He was disappointed when he saw it--not very impressive from the outside and no buffet. But the inside was beyond clean and their equally clean, full kitchen was on display from the register area which raised my confidence level even further. My sister saw their deal when you order any of three groupings of three meals so it was sort of like a buffet. (We chose B, btw). Quickly, the food was outrageously good. The service was quick. And it was priced very reasonably. This is a family-owned place that's been there for around 15 years according to the owners' too-cool-for-school daughter, a pleasant 20-something we met early on in our experience. (jk... I had joked about her being 20, to which she replied, cooly, "I'm 12, dude." With that retort, she won the day.) Wherever you are in or around the Nashville area, it's worth the trip. read more

This is the best Chinese food I've found in Nashville, and we're fortunate to live within a few miles; it's been my go-to carry-out for 9 years. Friendly, generous portions, reasonable prices, cooked-to-order, tasty, and fresh, the food will make you happy, as will patronizing a hard-working family. For the price, you get great food -- not fine dining. They prepare a non-menu dish for me of tofu, garlic sauce, and lots of fresh veggies. The broccoli is perfect (crunchy!) and the sauce is so tasty. I always have leftovers for lunch. My hub likes the Moo Goo Gai Pan, Mu Shu Pork, Shrimp & Lobster sauce, shrimp & broccoli, beef broccoli, and more... we both love the crab Rangoon, steamed dumplings, egg rolls, and shrimp toast. When I'm coming down with a cold, I stave it off with a huge order of extra hot hot-n-sour soup -- they'll even do it without meat. They moved a few doors down to a larger space, and although it has a fast-food atmosphere, it is clean, pleasant, and the people watching is very interesting due to the massive carry-out business they do! read more
