Second try delivery at a new local Chinese restaurant nearby. Since COVID-19, we've been trying delivery at lots of different restaurants and China Tango is our second Chinese restaurant. Honestly another let down for me. The photos looked very promising and reviews didn't seem bad so we decided to give it a try. We ordered through UberEats and the delivery was fast and left at door as instructed. We ordered the Orange Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Chicken Wings, Fish Filet w/ Black Bean Sauce, Shrimp Fried Rice, and Chicken Chow Fun. Everything except the chow fun and wings were in the Chinese takeout boxes which led to soggy food. I've never seen or tasted such soggy and mushy Mongolian beef. The fish filet was also so-so and the orange chicken same. The orange chicken was soggy and mushy with 80% breading and some of the dark meat pieces had the chicken poultry smell. Not very pleasant. The chicken wings weren't crispy and you could also notice the spices. So if you're not a fan of food that taste of strong spices, you might want to pass on the chicken wings. We're on the lookout for a quick Chinese place that doesn't involve driving to Chinatown. China Tango just might be it! First, even if you're an Uber One member, order from Beyond Menu if you're within 5 miles of the restaurant. Beyond Menu has a $3 delivery fee, but they don't have a menu upcharge on every item. Our order, with tax, delivery fee and a 25% tip on Beyond Menu, came to less than the subtotal of our food alone on Uber Eats. We had Mongolian beef, sweet and sour chicken, sesame chicken, and moo goo chicken. Everything was fresh and so tasty! The dishes were packed with meat! I love that you get a full container of you entree and a full container of rice separately. It's easily 2 meals for the price of one! My favorite was the Mongolian beef, but it was SPICY. Even though we picked mild, this was hot! Definitely go down a level if you're concerned about spice. There are even full-seed jalapeno slices in the dish and lots of them! The steak was fork-tender and the sauce was so flavorful that I loved it anyway. The sesame chicken is much more garlic than sesame, but still good! And I was really impressed with the sweet and sour chicken. There was a TON of chicken, not too much breading, and the veggies were well cooked. This restaurant has a long history of having their Yelp listed website reroute orders to a 3rd party, which in turn tacks on additional fees to process an online take out order (see my previous reviews for more details). The website that Yelp is currently listing now for this restaurant, is under the name chinatangobistro.com. Although this sounds like, and looks like, the actual China Tango restaurant's website...in reality, it is not...it's actually a website that routes your order to a third party called Menufy.com, who will tack on an additional convenience fee to your online take out order. Ironically, if you click on the red icon "Start Order" button (listed just above the chinatangobistro.com link) , it routes your order to a different third party, which is run by grubhub (grubhub is currently not adding on extra fees for takeout, but they do add surcharges for delivery). Do yourself a favor, if you want to order food from this restaurant, just call them directly...DON'T ORDER ONLINE!!!!!....because there are so many third party websites on the internet for this restaurant, that if you use one them, you are most likely going to get ripped off, as they will unnecessarily over-inflate your bill. I am giving this restaurant a 1 star, because after a year since I originally discovering this problem, they have not resolved the issue. 12/5 Update: Last Night, Yelp changed this restaurant's website link to chinatangohenderson.com (I can only assume they did this, based on my previous complaint). Although this website is run by another third party company (called Beyondmenu.com), chinatangohenderson.com is the website that actually appears on China Tango Bistro's take out menu (see picture of take out menu on a previous review). I tested this website to see if any additional fees were added to the take out orders, and none were (however, I did not submit the orders, so additional fees could potentially be placed on the final step of submission). In light of all this, my original recommendation stays the same: For at least a year, there have been many different third party companies linked to this restaurant (some charged additional fees, some didn't)....so just to be safe, don't use the online ordering feature....just call your order in directly to the restaurant. However, if you do order online, please keep in mind your not dealing directly with the restaurant.....which means, if you have any problems with your order, your going to have to fight it out with the third party company the food was ordered through. read more

Beware of hidden 20%+ tax - hidden fee if you order from their website. They redirect you without notice. If you order from them -- do so at risk and do "pick up" only. As a note to the restaurant- you should be more careful when packing your food, food barely fit in your styrofoam containers. One more thing - don't serve Pad Thai when you don't make it well. I ordered this and it was TERRIBLE. i have had my share of Pad Thai- this is not your strength. Take it off your menu. Stick to what you know. Also you do control who services your online orders, being charged over 20% for taxes is misleading to the consumer. Lame as well. Leaves a bad taste in your customer's mouth. Oh yum! No complaints here yet! We have ordered from here several times. The orange chicken is not spicy so it's super kid friendly. The shrimp fried rice always has many good size shrimp and the Keto friendly egg foo yung is always spot on no matter which protein you add (or if you leave it veggie)Two cartons of white rice cane with and we had food for days! Vegetable chow fun. Finally found a Chinese place with chow fun. A little more shoyu tasting than the regular 'chow fun' taste. Either way, super flavorful and my favorite vegetable in it was the green beans. Honey walnut shrimp was just ok, I didn't like how it was placed on lettuce because by the time I brought it home the lettuce was smothered in the sauce and not on the shrimp. But the taste and flavor was there. General chicken (spicy) was spicyyy. It's similar to orange chicken except without the orange flavoring and with a ton of veggies. Eggplant tofu (spicy) was my favorite. I always get this combination at any Chinese restaurant and it did not disappoint! I've salsa'd, flapped the funky chicken, but never done the China Tango. This is a typical fast food Chinese place, over salted meals and quick service, but sometimes you just gotta succumb to the call of MSG. I actually thought this place was pretty good, although not something I would eat everyday. I sat and was immediately greeted with water and fried wonton shells and a sweetened dipping sauce. These were a nice little touch for a dine-in fast food place, especially since I was starving! I ordered the Crab Rangoon, which is a fried wonton with cream cheese and crab meat inside. These pretty much tasted like fried cream cheese and there was barely any crab meat inside. The little crab meat I did find I'm pretty sure was from a can. Not my favorite. After I snacked on Crab Rangoon the main course arrived. Ma Po Tofu with Pork and I swapped out the rice for Chow Mein noodles. This dish was huge! It had mounds of noodles and a full plate of spicy tofu and pork. This was a lot better than I thought it might be especially after the "Crab Rangooning" that happened moments earlier. The tofu was cooked prefect and melted in my mouth, pork was very flavorful, but I wish it was cut into bigger chunks instead of minced pieces. Still very good and very spicy! The Chow Mein substitute was a good call. These were a perfect compliment to the spicy tofu/pork plate. They were soft and seasoned perfectly, I could have eaten a plate of these noodles by themselves. China Tango is great spot for a quick bite, but I wouldn't frequent it unless I wanted to go into a sodium induced coma. read more

I loveeeeee China Tango! I am never disappointed with the food and the efficiency of the business. Every time we place an order, our food arrives within 30 minutes or less. The quality of the food is great, and the flavor is always there. It's everything and more you could ask for in a Chinese restaurant. This is my husbands go to spot when he wants food.
