Yelp! review #5 of 2026 Dropped in for a quick lunch on January 8 around 1 PM. This spot was highly recommended by some people at the VA, so I decided to check it out. Unfortunately, while the service was top-notch and the staff were incredibly friendly, the food just didn't impress me at all, it completely missed the mark. I went with the shrimp pad Thai, but the shrimp had a strong ammonia taste that was off-putting. The hot and sour soup with seafood had the same problem; the seafood seemed like it had been soaked in ammonia. My wife ordered the Buddha's delight, a vegetarian dish loaded with tofu and assorted veggies, which was okay but nothing special. They clearly have a loyal crowd of regulars, which is great to see, but given the high prices and the subpar food quality, I won't be returning anytime soon. Decent amount of sitting space. Clean tables. Restroom, is handicap accessible, but they use it as a storage for cleaning supplies. Single front door. With the winds today, it was a bit heavy to open. Handicap stalls directly in front of the restaurant and across the parking lot as well. TVs on both sides of the dining area, on multiple channels, so the audio overlaps. It's not loud, it's just a little bit distracting.

This was a late night quick eats as I just got off of work and was craving some Chinese food. I had driven by this place hundreds of times and decided it was time to stop and give it a go as opposed to going up the street to another Chinese restaurant. Overall they were very friendly and greeted you when you walked in, and we're fast to take your order. The portions are absolutely huge, we ended up having this for lunch for 2 days and dinner that night. Maybe we just over ordered? But is leftover Chinese food ever wrong? Not a chance!

I like this place because it has good food and great lunch prices. It's small but clean and the staff is always nice. I've enjoyed their chow mein, chicken broccoli, war wonton soup and Kung pao chicken. You must try the delicious crab Rangoon. So crispy and flavorful. The spring rolls were a little mushy inside both times I tried them so won't be ordering them again. The lunch special is the best value. You get to choose from any of the pictured items, plus fried rice or chow mein and soup if you eat in. Today i had the Kung pao combo with rice. The rice is meatless and just a bit bland but the chow mein I had last week was tasty. All that food for under $10!!!! You can't beat the value.

Clean inside and I can see the kitchen upon entering. Organized too.

So, I have been a customer and I have picked up food here to deliver on Grubhub too. When I come in as a customer I am given smiles and kind words. However, when I come in to pick up food to deliver the woman in the picture acts as if I am a thief. I find myself reminding her that I have been here as a customer multiple times and she is still rude and demanding. Not sure if it's cultural but I don't think so as the men seem chill. This lady should be let go. There is another lady, much younger, that has a bruised lip and she is the reason I return to order food here. She has manners and speaks with you and shares her thoughts too. She's very thoughtful and kind.

Pretty good Chinese food in the Henderson area. Quick service and great portion sizes. I have been here a few times and I can say that the food isn't super oily which I find is common with Chinese food takeout. Some of my favorites are their Combination Chow Mein, Sweet and Sour Pork, and Hunan Beef.

The food was good let me just say that first. While I was eating, I was eating with my 3 year old niece and dad. As I was chewing my food I look down on my plate and saw a worm in my food! I dug through my food and saw ANOTHER WORM. My dad ended up taking it back to the restaurant to show them the worms and all the lady says is, " oh it probably came from the broccoli " like what the heck?" We were so furious!! Eat here or don't eat here, the choice is yours.

The food was really good. The Chicken Chow Mein was very good. The egg rolls were some of the best i've had in a long while. and the menu is very expansive .

We finally found a delicious Chinese restaurant! Wow the flavors were superb of everything we ordered. The chicken wings the table next to us had looked amazing, he told us his favorite there he orders all the time, can't wait to go back to order them. We will be back soon!

    Menu 3/14/2026

Ordered Wor Won Ton chicken chow mein and spicy garlic chicken; portions are good. Garlic chicken was good and spicy; won ton soup had some bbq pork in it and it tasted so old, I had to spit it out (gross); the chicken chow mein noodles were more like linguine noodles and had a funny orange hue to it (this was not authentic Chinese whatsoever). Not sure if I would come back. Service was okay, ambiance is clean.

    63. Hunan Beef - one of my favs
    Ang L.

My favorites from here are the hunan beef , ( I know everyone raves about China mama and their crispy beef ) but to be honest their hunan beef is WAYYYY better . I felt that I was eating fried batter drenched in sugar and oil when I did try China mamas crispy beef . Did not care for it at all and for the price comparison you get way more here . Another favorite is any of the string bean dishes in black bean sauce . The only thing i didn't care for from here was the beef noodle soup (no flavor and chow fun (was way too salty ). But otherwise everything else I tried here was really good and reasonably priced. Super tip (it's $2 cheaper per dish if you order directly from the restaurant versus yelp ) I just found that out ugh !

Had two dinners and they tasted like they just warmed over and not fresh. They were costly too. I like freely made food not warmed over.

Inside is a casual vibe with good seating for a table and booth. The background music is awesome! They have a nice playlist of nostalgic songs. I was listening to The Chainsmokers "Closer" ft. Halsey, One Direction "Perfect," and Justin Bieber "Baby" ft. Ludacris, all great songs! Menu offers a nice selection of appetizers, cold dish, soup and sauce noodle, chow mein, rice dish, chef special, and drinks. I ordered Pot Stickers (6 pieces, $7.99), it's lightly pan-fried dumplings, soft, slightly crisp, and filled with a really tasty mix of pork and vegetables, so good! For entree, I had Kung Pao Chicken ($12.99) which is wonderfully delicious and the flavor is excellent! I asked for no spicy, and they are so nice to accommodate, I appreciate it! The chef made it yummy! Chicken was tender and moist, stir-fried in a sweet and savory sauce. It came with green and red bell pepper, nicely cooked onions, and a topping of crunchy peanuts, served with steamed rice. It's really good! For dessert, they have green tea and vanilla ice cream. I went with Green Tea Ice Cream ($3), it wasn't too sweet and I enjoyed it! Service from Pya and Penny is very kind, welcoming, accommodating, courteous, efficient, and friendly! They checked in to see how everything was, and even looked up a song for me. I'd definitely come back to dine here, Chinese food is delicious, and overall service is pleasant!

I think the combo of covid and moving to a larger space put undue pressure on the business because the prices keep going up and the food quality is going way down. I went on Friday for the first time in many months. They had an entirely new menu, with a lot of new items and higher prices. I ordered my favorite, the soft shell crab fried rice. Normally this is amazing but this time it was very bland and the crab was not fresh, at all. This is a shareable item, but $55. Crazy! We also ordered a new duck item. Half duck served crispy. This was a more expensive version of the same exact dish I got there before. Nothing new and nothing fresh as this just tasted bad. I love duck and I had to smother it in sauce to get it down. The only thing that saved the meal was the panang. They always make this well and this time we sprung for the upgraded rib option, which was very good and the only thing that didn't taste in the verge of expiration. The menu is nice and creative but it seems like the same items just not fresh and more expensive. I'm wondering if they just aren't busy enough and holding food longer than they should or using frozen items that you can't get away with passing off as fresh. I don't think I'll be going back anytime soon. At these pricea and declining quality, there are much better options, which is sad because I really liked this place and have gone so many times over the years.
