I love trying Chinese fast food places.,this one gives you an ample amount of food. You just don't want to eat it. I had a 3 item combination plate. Asked for chow mein and fried rice. I got 95% rice. Must be a cheaper cost, The beef and broccoli was almost all broccoli. 2 small pieces of beef. The teriyaki chicken didn't taste of teriyaki and was very, very dark. This was the largest portion of the 3 choices. I didn't eat it. The pork had good flavor, but was dried out. Again, very small portion. There are no signs stating what anything is. You have to ask They don't have any fountain drinks and the place must have been 80° inside. I would never return here. read more

I checked the reviews beforehand and they were all mostly 5 stars, I ordered fried rice and chow mein and both styles of orange chicken (spicy and regular) I ordered to 2 combo plates with 2 sides the total came out to about 27 dollars. I was very disappointed to say the least the fried rice and both orange chicken tasted very weird and I mean very, the chow mein was alright probably the best thing I got from there, there was also this fish like smell idk if it was the oils or grease. I love fast Chinese food . It just always hits the spot. I've been coming here since I moved to Downey . I like going around 10:40am because it's really good when it's fresh. When you go at the not so busy hours you risk getting food that has been sitting around for while. Doesn't make it bad, just changes texture alot. The owners are a nice older couple . This place is ran by the family. The lady always preps the orders. The husband cooks all the food . They have the two kids that help prep orders on different days . If I can leave no stars I would and this was my first visit to this place and ask for a 3 item combo and then for my 3rd item I said I'll take the hot wings and he put em in another lil container then my total was 18 im like I just wanted the 3 item combo and then he said u wanted a side of wings I said no I asked for the 3 item combo and u grabbed the separate container to put em and they put 5 wings in tht box and then I argued with them for a bit so they took my wings out tht box and put em in my plate wit 3 wings and came out to 13. I said he gave me 2 extra wings in the separate container and it came out to 18 so for 2 extra wings the charge u $5 more.. Picked up a 2 item combo. Portion size was kind of small compared to other Chinese shops nearby. Flavor was okay, nothing stellar, but not horrible either. No air conditioning if you eat at the restaurant and they will charge you an extra 50 cents if you use a credit/debit card and your total is under $10. I was once asked what my favorite country in Asia was and I did not answer for many reasons. I thought about many Vietnamese female friends throughout my years, the Thai food I love, my fascination with Japanese décor, Filipino Activist I admire, Bollywood movies like "Spices" and so much more. I also have a place in my heart for China. Many in mi Familia like Chinese food and it is no coincidence my ancestors lived with the highest population of Chinese outside of China in Mexicali, Mexico. I enjoy a variety of Chinese food including Chinese fast food. I usually only give Chinese fast foods a shot out if they feature potato chicken. This restaurant did not have potato chicken but they had something I enjoyed more, potato beef. I guess my "mini vaca from eating vaca" is on hold till tomorrow. The potato beef had thick, wedge size potatoes in soft, seasoned sauce with that thin, pounded beef. To summarize, the potato beef was good and I will probably be back.
