Tried many different Chinese places in savannah and by far this place is the best! Great portions of food and excellent in taste!

We just ate at this restaurant and everything was okay. We spent 41.00 on food for ourselves and our 4 children. Before we left myself, fiancé and 12 year old daughter used the restroom. As we were leaving one of the employees ran outside with a piece of paper and started accusing us of ripping it off of the wall. We are all old enough to understand how juvenile pulling a piece of paper down would be. He said it has been on the wall for years and never come down until we used the restroom. He then accused us of using too much paper towels to dry our hands. His behavior was disgusting and he should be ashamed of how he approached a family who spent their hard earned money at his establishment. We would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy dinner with their family. read more

Sooooooo I thought this place just had a misspelled sign "China work". And I always thought it was very offensive. It's like totally the twenty first century. If the Chinese want to work they will. But when I went in it had great food. I love Chinese food. Great service. Just think the sign is confusing. read more

Best carry out in town, combination dinners are not skimpy in any way. My favorite is the Hunan beef extra spicy combination dinner, my wife likes the sweet and sour chicken and the sesame chicken. China Wok is in my favorites on my phone, and have never been disappointed. read more

Food was delicious. Some of the best Chinese food we have had in the south, and we are used to chinese food from up north; which is where we are from. It was ready before the time passed. We were on our way to pick it up, when they called us to make sure we were coming and to tell us the food was ready. It was HOT and we arrived 10min after the 1 5min window. Too bad they don't deliver, but I guess that's par for savannah. DEFINITELY WORTH THE DRIVE, even through the construction zone/ traffic. Our ONLY pick up Chinese place in savannah. read more

I turned to yelp to find a good Chinese take-out spot in Savannah and since China Wok had the highest reviews I gave it a try. I must say I was pleasantly surprised! I got the chicken and broccoli and vegetable fried rice. They give you a lot of sauce with the chicken and broccoli, but I didn't mind, I just used it to add extra flavor to my fried rice. The fried rice is delicious as is, though, and you really don't need to add anything to it (including soy sauce). I think the number 1 thing I appreciated the most, and what really shocked me, is that they filled my food to the very top of the infamous white and red take out boxes. I mean, there was so much food the boxes could barely stay closed shut. That to me was awesome (as many restaurants are usually stingy) and the reason why I didn't hesitate to give them 5 stars. I'll definitely be going back when I get that craving for Chinese again! Give it a try, you won't regret it. read more

Best Chinese place in Savannah! Wonderful staff! I have been eating here for over 10 years and it gets better and better.

The restaurant is owned by the nicest man and customer service rocks. He remembers most customers and what they order on a regular bases. His prices are reasonable and upgrades of proteins is inexpensive (beef or pork to shrimp), the other Chinese food place in Georgetown refuses to upgrade proteins and would rather charge you more for a different dish. No for the low review, while the food started out good years ago, the need to cut corners and up the bottom line has seen the food with excessive levels of onions (really a dish of shrimp and onions?? why ruin good shrimp??), the straw that broke the camels back was the last 6 or so meals that should have been beef and BROCCOLI instead of hunan beef!! Do you know how much broccoli is worth, $1 a pound on sale, if there wasn't any in the dish it would be too much. Now half the meal, nope that is not what I ordered, tell you what you keep the excessive veggies and I will keep my money. So when you ask where that couple is who used to eat thee every couple of weeks, well we want be back.............................. read more

I love this place! My boyfriend and I moved to Georgetown two years ago and China Wok instantly became our favorite (and honestly only) place to grab food from when we don't feel like cooking. After living in Philly and NYC for a number of years I have not had success with finding a good Chinese food place in the south until I came across China Wok on a suggestion from a friend. General Tsu was only offered on the dinner menu which came with egg rolls and fried rice, paid for dinner portion and immediately noticed it came with no egg roll. They are the nicest people in Savannah!!! On top of that the food is amazing. My family and I have a tradition of ordering a ton of food from here every couple months and they have it ready in minutes. I don't even want to eat at other Chinese restaurants anymore. read more
