Poor management. Don't order diced pepper chicken from here now. The quality is de-graded and quantity is less. The chicken is in stick shape than dice. When I try to give this feedback to the hotel management they were not receptive and try to find excuse and blame me. Hotel run by a family and they are not at all in sync about the operations. I always do take out or delivery. They do have a high minimum to deliver to newark but its ok. I usually order the combo which bring ur choice of meat, choice of rice an eggroll, dumplings, a soup or can of soda. I think the price is fair for the amount of food. This is my local go to for sushi and beef soup noodles. Their service has always been very good. They also deliver in the area fairly quickly. I enjoy their spicy tuna roll, eel avocado roll, dragon roll, shrimp tempura roll. Their shrimp rolls and soups are also very good. I've had the wonton soup and the egg drop soup. The owner is very pleasant and always gets us seated. Great to support a local business. read more

This review is low due to the awful witch of an owner who demands tips for employees. Does not seem to understand the concept of tipping is optional and depends on service. In fact, perhaps, if she paid her people well, they would be happy. She adds on gratuity without the customer's approval or knowledge which could be deemed illegal if one wanted to go that route. What a sh!tty establishment! The employees/ owner may come across as pleasant when they are taking your money but God forbid something goes awry (to which they are at fault, no less!) absolutely NO RESPONSIBILITY will be assumed by the owner much less her subordinates. I don't live in the area but my sister does. On a whim, I ordered take-out here the first time in November 2016 while at her house. The food was fine- fresh, I must admit- so they didn't miss the mark there. And it was delivered in a timely fashion (about an hour, which isn't unusual). So naturally I made a mental note to order here again when the opportunity arose. When I'm in town again a month later, I placed another take-out order and purchased a 2L soda with the meals totaling $50, including an $8 tip. A young delivery boy drops off the food in an hour's time. Realized when I was removing the entrees from the bag that he didn't hand me the soda. And this is where everything goes off track. Okay so mistakes happen and I'm understanding. Gave the young man the opportunity to rectify his mistake by calling him immediately to come back to drop off the soda. Simple enough. He agreed and said he will be back there shortly. Half an hour later he calls and says he's outside. My sister goes out in the blistering cold just for him not to be there. When she returns inside I phone him again to get his location he says "He has other deliveries". I then made the decision to return the soda I never received and demanded a refund. Clearly he's incapable of performing this action, so I called the restaurant and the owner insisted on sending him again or someone else to deliver the soda to which I declined and asked for the amount of the soda to be returned to my card. Then she decided she wants to send someone to deliver $3. Seems uneconomical and waste of my time because at that point I had no time to loiter around and wait for them to do that. I had other obligations and just pleaded with her to return the money in the form of payment used for the purchase. In sum, she didn't give me my money or my soda. She said I would need to pick it up in person, even though I don't live in the area (again, I was visiting) and I do not drive. Just make sure before the driver pulls off you CHECK YOUR BAG IN FRONT OF HIM/ HER. Have them wait or else the company will steal from you with no apologies. BEWARE! read more

It was ok. Service was quick and attentive enough. I ordered Roti Pratha with Curry sauce and the baby shrimp with chilli paste. The Roti Pratha was more like 2 scallion pancakes with a curry sauce on the side than actual Roti. Then to my surprise, this Shrimp entree was not spicy and allot more sweet than I expected and the shrimp were actually what I'd consider large or full sized shrimp. I couldn't eat it. Great food, great atmosphere....great service!!!! The woman (owner) usually answers the phone and is behind the counter when you get there. She is very nice even when the place is very busy. One cold and rainy day, she offered me free hot green tea while I waited for my take out. So nice of her ! I have been going here for about 4 years and pass up several Chinese spots along the way to get there. Place is always crowded which is a good sign. Very good food from an unassuming Chinese restaurant. Food is surpringly not greasy and they have a bit more selection than the typical Chinese faire. The kung pow chicken and harbor shrimp are very good. I am also a big fan of the spare ribs. Spring rolls are a bit bland and greasy, so avoid if possible. read more

Stayed in a hotel for a night just a few blocks away, and ordered some take out hoping to satisfy a craving. I live on the UWS in NYC and have not found anything that comes close to this place. It is not the very best Chinese food I've ever had, but it was so good that I do have to give it 5 stars. It was fresh and tasty without being too oily. The white meat chicken was trimmed and cooked perfectly, and the broccoli had a nice crunch to it rather than being overcooked. If you're fortunate to live nearby, you can't go wrong. I didn't try the sushi, and frankly the mix of sushi and Chinese has always raised an eyebrow, but while waiting for my order, the sushi going to tables did look very good. read more

My family and I come here once a year in April for our family gathering. Staff is always super friendly and attentive. We usually book a private room upstairs since we have a lot of people in the party. I don't remember all the dishes we normally order since my family just handles all of that! Staff also speaks both Mandarin and Cantonese which makes things easier for my family so they can just order whatever they want. The harbor shrimp is delicious and the shrimps are huge! Not that cheap stuffff ya know?? We also get this fatty pork, I don't know it's called but laaaaaaawdddddd! It's probably not good for me but it feeds my soul ok? And we only have it once a year so let a girl and her family indulge tysm! We don't normally get the sushi since we always do the family style dinners, but I have tried a few of their rolls and they were super tasty as well! The Richie Rich roll, in particular, is my favorite. It comes with a SWEET wasabi sauce like whaaaat?! The sauce is amazing, I could probably drink like cups of them. Okay not really but it's pretty darn good. I wish we lived closer so I could be able to try their delivery or even swing by whenever I wanted. The food is poor quality and the person who answers the phone knows absolutely nothing about the dishes, ingredients, or options. I had to ask her to find out the information which made placing the order take longer to the point where if she didn't know something I just said forget it. The noodles are dry and beef sticks also known as beef teriyaki at other locations r the worst part of the cow. There is a long muscular tendon that goes down the middle of the beef teriyaki making it inedible. They literally gave me one fifth of the smallest cup available for the sauce for the soggiest, gummiest, smallest, tasteless scallion pancakes I have ever spit out. I would give it to 0 Stars. Very cute Modern place. I've been going to this place for years, they never let me down. I LOVE my sushi and this restaurant has Thee best sushi around Ironbound, Harrison, Kearny, area ! The owner is always very nice, and treats her customers very good. I completely recommend this restaurant to anybody!! Food is always so fresh and tasty. When you get seated ask for the crackers with duck sauce its free & it helps if your starving . lol I specially like to always have a miso soup before my entry. & the hot tea is also free. I use to eat at this restaurant and somehow the last few times I have eaten here service has been poor and the food beyond poor quality the last straw was when I went there to pick up the food I ordered and I watched a mouse run past the floor I alerted the hostess handling my to go order I found that highly disgusting as well as watching them make my sushi and 2 flys flying around I canceled my order completely I dealt with the rude service and dirty dish ware but I end it at rodents running around would never go back there again read more
