20. Eggplant with Garlic Sauce
Annie L.

What a little gem in downtown Petaluma! Ordering Chinese take-out can not be any easier on their website. Ordered 1 chicken fried rice, 1 prawns with mixed vegetables, 1 eggplant with garlic sauce. The flavors are all there but not overly salty or overly oily like some chinese take-out can be. It tasted more like a chinese home cooked meal. I enjoyed it a lot and would not hesitate to dine in one day or order my Friday night take out again!

First time at this restaurant, the service was excellent, the food was so-so, I'd give it a 7, But what I didn't like was [[HIGHLIGHT]]the dirtiness of the restaurant, dust everywhere and the carpet is super dirty[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. If they make these changes I would definitely return to this restaurant.

The ambience could use some updating here. I was the only person there until, perhaps a half hour later, another single woman came in and sat by the window. The service is good and the food is good as well. I ordered a lunch special, almond chicken. It was exactly what you would expect from any Chinese restaurant. I would love to see this place flourish with a bit more pizzazz or freshening up somehow. The vibe feels tired. So if you're tired, maybe this is a good place to go! Conveniently located on Kentucky Street where there is abundant free parking.

Wow! I never have too high of expectations for Chinese food in Sonoma County, but this place was 10/10! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I loved that it's a hole in the wall kind of place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I went on a Sunday night and it was slow, every dish we ordered was so fresh and delicious. We had the crab ragoons, mushu pork, general's chicken, and chow fun. Yummmm, I've been thinking about this place since I went and I need to go back ASAP! The young man that served us was very friendly and we didn't feel rushed at all.

The food: Salt and pepper fish was well seasoned, not greasy, and presented satisfactorily. The vegetable fried rice could have used more seasoning but a little soy sauce fixed it right up. The place: Ambiance was nice, pleasant lighting and spotlessly clean. The service: Friendly enough but not really attentive. Water glasses didn't get refilled and she didn't check in at all until we were obviously done. The price: The fish was reasonably priced but over $8 for rice with maybe a dozen little veggies is a bit much. In conclusion: Not going to be our first choice next time we're hungry but I also wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Best price for taste Chinese food that has delivery nearby Penngrove. The lunch specials are such a good deal! The quality is better than most of the Chinese places I've ordered from nearby. There's a crab Rangoon w each one and it taste SOOOO good. Sweet and Sour chicken has the perfect taste. The jumbo shrimp wasn't what I was expecting and it needs a bit of black pepper but still taste good and nice crunch. Hot and Sour soup has soy sauce in it which is weird but still taste good. I would 1000000% order from here again and plan to!

Located on Lakeville Highway, just east of Hwy 101, it would make a good place to stop for a nice lunch or dinner. I was there on a warm Saturday, at around 11:30 am. The dining room has a contemporary asian decor. The AC kept the air cool and comfortable. There's several 2,4, and 6 seat tables. Just before lunchtime, the place was 1/3 full with customers. I was seated along the wall. I was offered a menu, and choice of hot tea or ice water. I asked for chopsticks, because the place setting had a fork. I ordered the Mongolian Beef lunch plate w/ fried rice. Also, I asked for an order of (Lightly Breaded) Fried Prawns. Service was excellent. My waiter was very attentive, and served my food as soon as it was ready. He told me if there were any delays. I didn't have to ask for anything. The Fried Prawns were large and plump. They were served with various sauces to choose from. The Mongolian Beef lunch plate had a nice presentation. The portion size was fair. The fried rice was moist, and blended well with the Mongolian Beef. The Mongolian Beef was spicy and tasted just right. Hot 'n Sour soup came with the lunch plate. Lily Kai's recipe for hot 'n sour soup is a little different than what you might get in most other chinese restaurants. They make it with alot of mushrooms. The familiar flavor was there, but it lacked several expected ingredients. Well, as long as it tasted good, I'm okay with it. ----------------------------------------------- So I had a great first time experience here. The plaza has a free shared parking lot. There's a Starbucks Coffee shop in the same plaza. Also, this place is down the street from the Kaiser Medical Offices. Also, they have clean and large restrooms. Lily Kai is in the Adobe Creek Center at Lakeville Hwy & South McDowell Blvd.

When ordering I told the waitress I am a vegan. With a smirk on her face she said that, "we don't do vegan." She said they put oyster sauce in the broth. I asked her to check with the chef. She would not do that. She said they had so many online orders that they cannot accommodate making a mixed vegetable dish from their menu which is vegetarian or vegan. The restaurant had already served food to all other customers (a few tables occupied on a weekday) and I didn't see anyone waiting for online orders. Their customer service is poor, to put it mildly. In my decades of having Chinese food I have not found a restaurant that puts oyster sauce in mixed vegetables or any other dish they claim to be vegetarian.

UPDATE mid-May 2026…read more They've reopened a few days a week due to popular demand! They were focused on their catering for a bit. No hot pot until the winter. Only open on weekends. Lunch is takeout only. Yay! Their bbq pork is their specialty along with other roasted meats.

I totally was that weird kid who ate strange food growing up. I would rather eat lobster or…read moreartichokes than chicken or green beans, and given the choice I'd gladly eat my body weight in dim sum over basically any other food. That hasn't changed at all for me as an adult! In Sonoma county there was really just one place with dim sum, and lots of people wanted more options. I tried other restaurants with their dim sum adjacent menus, but they were pretty mediocre and mostly focused on fried pot stickers or the occasional steamed siu mai. Once I heard fantasy was starting a true dim sum menu, I knew we had to try it. The day we arrived I was solidly in my third trimester of pregnancy and getting around was a chore, but that wasn't going to keep me from dim sum. We were the only guests the whole time on the day we went there, which was weird to me given how good the food ended up being! Service was great, super friendly and just lovely folks. The restaurant was clean and we'll organized, and the menu was a good mix of traditional favorites and some trendy BAO for the insta. We ordered a little of everything , which to me is why dim sum is so fun. Food came out super fast, and we tucked right in. Surprisingly to me, my favorite dish is one hubs picked on a whim, the spicy won tons. The flavors and textures were on point, and even with pregnancy heartburn, the spice on these things was well worth it. Super delicious. I felt the pandan and black sesame bao were overly trendy for my taste, but I'm sure those who are new to dim sum could see these options as easy introduction into the food. Really good experience here with very tasty food, nice people and quality dishes. I'm still getting over the idea of expensive dim sum because of growing up eating it in SF with low costs in a humble setting, but for this overall experience I felt the prices were fine. I will definitely be back, and eager to try the rest of the items on their menu.

This is a lovely family run restaurant worth supporting, and I highly recommend eating here!…read moreWe wanted to try something new and decided on Pho Sonoma. It was a mellow Tuesday night and when we walked in the restaurant was mostly empty, which was a little unnerving, but we were greeted promptly and warmly. We ordered an appetizer and 4 entrees between 2 adults and 2 toddlers, and nearly licked the plates clean. The banh mi sandwich, garlic noodles, and BBQ pork are to die for! But, what made the visit truly special was meeting Jenny, the owner and chef, and her husband. They came out personally to check on our table, introduced themselves, and made my husband, our two young kids, and me feel completely at home. Their warmth and genuine hospitality are rare, and it showed in every interaction. This is the kind of family-run gem you hope to stumble upon -- where the people behind the food are just as wonderful as the food itself. We'll absolutely be back! Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Quality of food is also beyond my expectations. Waitress recommended the clay pot so I gave that a try and don't regret it one bit. It's everything I love. Lots of tofu, veggies (that weren't over cooked) and rice. I have a big appetite and the amount of food was just the right amount. I did not leave hungry at all. while I waited for my food, they brought my appetizer. It was delicious. The shrimp spring rolls were fresh, and peanut sauce that came with it was loaded with little peanut pieces (I love a crunchier sauce over a smooth sauce). I also enjoyed a Thai iced tea. I'm not a fan of almond milk, but whichever brand they use, was better than any other I've had at other places. I want to go back and try the bahn mi sandwich. Service was really good and restaurant offered booth seating and open table seating. Can't wait to go back!
