This is probably one of the worst chipotle locations I have been to. I was trying to place a mobile pick up on the app tonight and this particular location would show up but every time you clicked on it, I was given an error message. So I decided to drive to the location and order in person. When I arrived it wasn't busy but all of the ingredients were low in stock. I was trying to redeem my birthday reward and realized they had no guacamole in stock either. This is literally what chipotle is known for, hence "it'll be extra with guac". Be careful going into this establishment. Last Thursday I went in to grab a carne asada bowl and I was not satisfied. When I went home to eat my bowl, I noticed that the sour cream was not fresh, I threw it in my trash can. The carne asada meat tasted off. On friday, I went to work not feeling well. I was more pleased with this Chipotle location than the one at Potomac Yard. Service was quicker and friendlier. I asked for super greens but only got regular romaine. The portion of guacamole was large.....but it should be for $2.25 extra. I like the interior and the availability of booths. I tried chicken this time and preferred it to steak. To be honest, I came here because it was the closest food establishment to where I parked and I needed something quick before an appointment nearby. I tried to find the Nando's that was apparently close but to no avail. As I have said before, I'm not a huge Chipotle fan and only visit in a pinch. read more

as much as I enjoy the American take on traditional Latin American food, I am unfortunate in my reporting that chipotle does not quite meet my standards- which I consider to be reasonable. I don't understand what type of pricing system they use in order to determine how much to charge customers but I feel taken advantage of. if the service would've made up for it I could understand the atrocious prices, but another unfortunate reporting the service was subpar at best. A brief example would be the listening skills I had to repeat myself multiple times and even after the repetition I was still let down with the end results. The food that I was served tasted like wet cardboard had been left next to a salt truck. Well...after at least 50 visits to this location, it's safe to say I'm a fan. I can understand some people having bad experiences, and I've had some over the years but the problematic individuals do not seem to work here anymore. Overall, I'm satisfied at least 90% of the time. They are fairly busy most of the time, except around closing, late afternoon, and right when they first open. But always fast...they are used to the lunchtime rush and tourist traffic. Mostly friendly, upbeat servers. Lunchtime (11:40-12:45) is very crowded, with the line wrapping around the entire store, but moving quickly. Still, I feel ridiculous getting on any line behind 70 people for a not-free burrito, in a small store, getting pushed aside by people trying to leave, so I never go at lunchtime. They have/had a really nice manager. One day, he just picked up on the fact that I had been fasting... yes, I was breaking fast at Chipotle (don't judge me)...and he brought me a cup to get some water. How attentive, perceptive, and thoughtful! They do flavor the chicken well, but I usually get a veggie bowl, which I consider vegan with black beans and no cheese or sour cream - the pinto beans are cooked with pork. With a veggie bowl, the guac is free! However their guacamole tends to be a bit lumpy, with a slightly annoying abundance of inedible avocado chunks (slightly because I didn't pay extra for it, but I'd be fully annoyed if I did), but recently, I haven't seen any brown spots. read more

I hadn't eaten lunch that day and was very hungry and got a burrito. We were on the way to National Harbor Ice show and needed something quick. For me, this location is hit or miss after about 6 visits. Sometimes it's efficient and fairly good quality for fast casual food. However, sometimes it is straight up inedible - since I take it to go, I've never complained as I was already back at my office, which was frustrating. I went once right when they opened and they did not have vegetables or brown rice made, the guacamole was gross and overly salty, the register hadn't been turned on, the drink machine had not been turned on, and overall it was a terrible experience. They have never wrapped my burrito right. It always falls apart even before you unwrap the foil. The foil is also wrapped wrong and at least a quarter of your burrito will be left in the paper bag. Will not come back to this location. There was a live crawling bug in my food. I'm naturally a very observant person especially with my food and i like my food to be pretty so i always pick out the brown pieces of lettuce if there are any. While doing that i noticed something green with brown edges move and it was a freaking bug that was blending in with the lettuce crawling around. Ruined my whole appetite. When i went back in to tell them they had the nerve to ask if i want something else as if i would want to risk another bug in my food.
