Chipotle nailed it today! My daughter and I had a quickie lunch. It was busy, but the line moved fast! We both got a burrito bowl. I put some salad mix on mine. There something about the rice where I have to have it! As I walked up, I guess I was just supposed to say brown or white rice because they're both a cilantro rice... but I appreciated the man behind the counter knew exactly what I meant when all I said was - cilantro rice, lol. Mine was pretty spicy in the end and was probably the best burrito I have ever concocted with the help of the employees. My daughter and I sat inside to eat. Dang. The other night I had chicken as my protein of choice from this Chipotle and it was delicious. Tonight I went with steak. Bad decision. It appears they gave me struggle meal steak. I might as well have walked into the butcher and asked for the day old, discounted, toughest cut of steak from the poor old ass dairy cow that couldn't produce milk anymore. That would have been better. Huge chunks of hard gristle. It was awful. My favorite old boots would have been easier to chew. Needless to say, PB&J was my dinner. Guys, please do better. read more

Customer service is MIA- needs drastic improvement It was the closest family favorite restaurant... But since the manager Jennifer left.... It's often short staffed and the food is the saltiest and burnt or overcooked... as far as chipotles go we would rather not go here or eat at the sierra college exit one... It's only 20min away. Came here after a hike and will never return due to the customer service we received. My child's friend asked for a cup for water and the rude employee began berating him that he is to get water only! He was getting water not anything else or I would have purchased him a drink. She became so upset that she turned off the fountain drink machines just to make sure that he indeed only got water. Such a disgusting thing to do to a child! No establishment should treat their customers this way especially a child! Do better chipotle! People come, spend money at your establishment and are treated this way. Very disappointed to say the least. I did an online order today & upon eating our dinner at home the order was all wrong. My fiancé ordered a burrito & got a bowl instead with overly dry meat that he ended up not finishing. My veggie bowl was pretty yummy until I had a couple of more bites & discovered a dead fly covered in sour cream. I lost my appetite & did not eat the rest of my food. I tried to call customer service & was hung up on twice. I gave them my order number on the third try and informed them of the dead fly and wrong burrito order where I was hung up on again shortly after. I had been craving Chipotle all day & now I am questioning the cleanliness of this location. I get things happen but a clean restaurant shouldn't have flies in the building/ near the food. I honestly didn't want to leave a review but this is by far the worst portion sizes I've ever seen. I got a bowl and the employee with the curly broccoli hair literally gave me half scoops in EVERYTHING. I was so disappointed and dissatisfied of the service I hardly had anything to eat and was charged full price. Just left cause there portions are very small and when you question them about it they say that the serving size. My wife still got her bowl and the person who did her made the portions bigger. Honestly, I never write reviews either because it's so bad, I don't wanna waste my time, or it's so good, I just forget. But today I want to make sure I write one for people. I ordered online through their website because I've been sick at home and haven't had much of an appetite. Where I live I don't have very many options for food delivery so chipotle won the vote. I ordered around 10AM, which I know is super early, with the delivery being around 11AM! Mind you, I've done this one other time before, and it was awful. My order was late (hour ish) and when I got my order, my bowl was not even halfway filled. I was very upset having paid $30 for the service. Today, changed all that! My order arrived at 11, right when it said it would! Also, much to my surprise, my bowl was filled the proper amount almost to the top and looked beautiful! My side of tortillas was nice and hot wrapped in foil and they even gave me a small bag of chips! If any of the chipotle Auburn employees read this whoever made my lunch/dinner today thank you very much for doing such a great job. When I'm sick, and I can't drive, this definitely made my life easier and tastier! read more

I placed an order for pick up tonight through the Chipotle app. Two chicken burritos and large chips and guacamole. The chips were so stale this guacamole is going to waste. My chicken burrito was busting out the side making it impossible to eat with my hands.. who eats a burrito with a fork? Me tonight. also.. the guac that went with the stale chips was tipped on its side and leaking out of the bag.. guacamole on my car seats and inside the damn bag galore!! Update: So I reached out to Chipotle upon their response to my post, fully expecting a more personalized response, that's not what I received. Firstly, the link provided in their response, despite appearing to take me to a "report an experience" page, simply dropped me into their website, where I then needed to figure out where to give feedback. I submitted my feedback and what came next, half surprised me. No response, ever. My expectation was at the very least, an apology or explanation, nothing. Don't get me wrong, I like Chipotle, I've been eating at Chipotle since the early 90's but something certainly ain't right at this location and the fact that no communication has been forthcoming is telling. **On a positive note, I've been mostly happy with my orders from other locations and the introduction of the Al Pastor and the now discontinued Brisket options are so good. read more

I'm vegan and I'm regularly finding meat snuck into my online ordered food. Just tonight my burrito had small pieces of chicken in it (and my burrito was a total mess requiring so much tinfoil to contain). Chipotle needs to honor people's diets. I ordered in store. Got great service making my bowl. They answered my questions with a smile. Got all the things I love and even tried their new steak option. The meat was super tasty. Not spicy hot. Had a great fresh lime flavor to back up the spices. Would do again. Noticed a nice patio if I ever want to bring my dog. read more

Time for a health inspection. I've been on and off eating Chipotle over the years in many states. It has a reputation for making many people sick so I'm always wary trying new locations but I've not experienced any food poisoning. However I have been eating at this one in Auburn since I moved here in 2018. This year is the first time I've been sick twice in the past few months from eating food there. Once from ordering in person and now catered food to my work. Someone is failing at food safety there. I gave it 2 stars instead of one for taste and the years of decent food and service. read more

I just left this Chipotle without any tasty items, unfortunately. I've purchased food here about 10 times. Today when I arrived to get a salad bowl, their salad was bad. There were several soggy or frost bitten pieces of lettuce and plenty that didn't look edible. When I pointed it out to the server, he said he just put it out and it was new. When I pointed out all of the bad pieces, he just mixed the lettuce within the container and reiterated he just put it out. He failed to understand or recognize it looked unappealing and spoiled. I left and went over to Panera. I wouldn't post this, but this is the third time the ingredients weren't fresh and hope someone will step it up over there. read more

What has happened here? The last 2 times the size of the burritos are now half as big as they used to be. The burritos are just full of rice. Nothing in them. 25.00 for tiny little burritos is ridiculous. The chips used to be really good. Now they taste like someone bought large bags of corn chips from costco and threw some seasoning on them. Both times they were stale. Ordered a chicken burrito with beans and rice. Looked nice and fat, weighed a good amount - was fired up with anticipation! Once I opened it up however I realized I basically got a "ricerito", hardly any chicken or beans, just rice rice rice... The side of salsa was bland but... the guacamole was really good! Im from So Cal where taco shops NEVER use rice, bean or other fillers (lettuce, etc..) in their burritos or tacos. I have seen ads on TV about Chipotle and see them all over here in NorCal - I really thought my experience would be different and maybe it is just this store. Gave this location another try and they fell short unfortunately. Just an overall lack of attention is painfully obvious with the slippery slope this experience was... We ordered three burrito bowls two of which were vegetarian with sides of chips and queso. Unfortunately one order of queso had a chunk of chicken in it, it was stomach turning to me to find that in there and I'm not even the vegetarian. I'll also note that we didn't order chicken with any entrees which to me indicates a high level of sloppiness. The guacamole that came with the chips should never have been served. It was so obviously spoiled that it felt like a slap in the face to be served it. There's many other little things but I need to move on from this experience. I completely understand they've had a hard time being understaffed and I'm not really clear as to why this location is such a disaster but it is. They're constantly out of main ingredients and don't even let you know. I've had to completely stop coming to this location which is disappointing because as other Auburnites know the next closest location is Rocklin. read more
