I absolutely love Chipotle, however the Chipotle on Bell Rd. in Auburn, CA has the poorest food and service. I have gone in several times hoping it would get better or that maybe I was there on an off day, but there seems to be a lack of improvement. I had waited in line for about 30 minutes one time, and in that same day when my husband asked for his burrito to be double wrapped, the worker dumped the contents out of the burrito onto a new tortilla without scraping the stuck food onto the new tortilla - completely wasting meat, cheese, rice and still charging us for it. One of the ladies acknowledged me one time, and it felt so nice that I left a small tip; but usually there is no engagement with the customers at all. On another more recent occasion, we ordered via doordash and when I got my food there were barely any contents on it! I asked for fajitas, and they weren't on my bowl. The other food items in this order had hardly any contents either, and the chips were a little stale. While I'm sure the Auburn community loves having a Chipotle so close by, there needs to be drastic changes for it to really function and serve it's community well. If it improves, I would consider going again and making it one of our regular places to eat. read more

Wow, I was soo happy to wait in a line to the door and watch 1 person prepare food at a snail's pace. Advertisements all over for honey chipotle chicken, but upon closer look it was just the bottom of the tray oily scraps. When I asked for chips and salsa they got mad at me, made me choose a salsa and threw it across the counter and it spilled all over the other side of the register floor. Yesterday I was the only one in line but still took forever to even acknowledge me. The woman that did (manager maybe?) was pleasant enough but absently rushed me through things. The whole time I was there she never changed her gloves- not for serving, prep, cleaning or cash handling. Why wear gloves at all if they're clearly disgusting? Went in for dinner a few nights ago, and the customer in front of us was on his phone. The ladies asked him twice what he wanted, and he finally answered them. He didn't bother to see how many people were in line behind him because his phone was more important than anything else. When he got to the cashier, she told him how much, he was still talking on the phone. He paid her and then asked her where his drink was. She asked him twice if he wanted something to drink, but he was too busy on his phone to acknowledge her. So my boyfriend said would it be nice if you weren't on your phone the whole time. You might've heard her ask you twice. Of course he had a smart remark come back. So after we got our food, we went to the table and the cashier came over and said thank you for doing that. And they ended comping our dinner. Much to our surprise. We thought we were maybe gonna get in trouble for saying something to him, but they were very appreciative. I've ordered here consistently. I manage a medical practice in Auburn. I constantly need a place that will fill large orders. They fill on time and have helped me when things didn't go right. I order so many burritos for the practice that I get a good amount of reward points. Well because of Covid-19 I couldn't use them because of the pandemic. Emily the manager was really sweet and helped me out. I know that some people give this place bad reviews but if you speak to Emily she'll make it right. Portions were very big! In my opinion, Chipotle is always a good option. On a recent trip up to Nevada City, we were starving on our way back so we popped into Chipotle for a trusty lunch. This Chipotle was busy with the lunch rush, but the line moved steadily and we were in the front in no time. The employees here were most efficient, though seemed confused by regular requests (like asking for fajita veg). But they offered generous portions which is always pleasing. This location was kept mostly clean, though during the lunch rush it seemed that things got a bit messy around the drink station and behind the counter. All and all this is an easy place to stop in to, there's a large parking lot, and even a long line moves pretty quickly. read more

Have not been to a Chipotle for over a year since the health scare of last year. Well let me tell you everything about this location was great. First thing you notice is the excellent health department rating at the door and as you walk in the place is very clean even though the crowd was there for lunchtime. Follow up from 3 nights ago. The Management at this location is really BLOWING IT! First, you changed the closing time a fews days ago to 7:30 pm. I wrote to corporate Chipotle about my **** experience 3 nights ago and I see you finally corrected the closing times on the Google & Chipotle site, but it is still wrong on Yelp and shows a 10:00 pm closing time (see pic). So last night 1/7/21, I get there at 6:15 pm with my face diaper securely in place and walk inside to place my order only to find there is no food out at the service counter! A very pleasant worker tells me they are ONLY accepting orders placed online. NO walk in and placing an order. UNBELIEVABLE! I want to see the food that I am ordering and make sure it is NOT all dried out and crusty, and I like to instruct the server how to make my burrito and watch to make sure it is made correctly. NOWHERE does it indicate on the Chipotle website that THIS LOCATION IS ONLY ACCEPTING ONLINE ORDERS! Call it a day Chipotle and leave Auburn!
