I guess not many people will not go to Chipotle (sorry for the double negative) because of bad ratings but I do think that their current rating of 1.8 stars is just unfairly low and not representative of how this location actually is. At least from my experiences here anyway. I have been here a few times. There are just days when I crave Chipotle. 3-4 days out of the year. And this location gets all my business since it is local to me. Their food is always consistent. Great portions (whether you order in person, via app, or via Uber/DD). I have read some horror stories of other locations where they reduced the portions by as much as half. This location is NOT one of those. The employees here are just okay. Not friendly or unfriendly. One time, one of the employees complimented my jewelry but that was pretty much the only off the script conversation I had with any of the staff here. During lunch, expect to see a bunch of Newport high school students dining here. It gets quite busy. The line moves pretty fast. I know they had some issues with slow lines during the beginning of pandemic. This is not the case anymore. I don't know when chipotle added this but Chimichurri is a game changer! Goes extremely well with burrito. Not sure how authentic it is or anything but I really liked it more than expected. It was free via Uber eats this month. Parking is available right in front and several businesses share the lot. It is convenient but it can get pretty full from time to time. read more

I don't know why this place gets such bad reviews. I have been to this Chipotle probably 50 times and never had any issues. The food is always exactly what I expect going into a Chipotle and the employees serve me the same way each time. Do I expect the most authentic, top-of-the-line Mexican cuisine? Nooooo. Stupid me. Went to try again and I have never seen such a rude chipotle before. My son is anaphylactic to dairy and I asked them to get a guacamole from the back that didn't risk cross contamination (a common practice not only at other chipotle's but many other restaurants) and they flat out refused and said that the guac they had at the front was good. I explained again how dangerous it was for him to have dairy and then someone else cut in and said it's fine. While he did it in the back the worker at the front nodded her head back and forth being annoyed and under her breathe said "stupido" staring at me. This chipotle is so slow. They only seem to have one person working the entire food service bar and I don't get that. Meanwhile, there will be two or three people around the cash register area and it just doesn't make any sense. Today we get a salad bowl and ask for extra lettuce. Literally put like ten extra leaves. I asked the lady again for extra lettuce and she looked at me like I was crazy. But she finally added a decent amount. Don't look at me like I'm crazy. If you feel it's too much and you need to charge me extra, then say that but don't look at me funny. Topped our salad with chicken and fajita mix and there was hardly any in container and before we could say anything, she said that's all we got. She must have not been having a good day or something but you can't be on the line and have that poor attitude. Finally topped our salad with green salsa and that was it. This chipotle is very clean and very fast in providing the food. They are the only chipotle that has ever offered to actually open the Mexican sprite for us so that gives them a tiny edge up. This place is horrendous. The staff is rude, obnoxious, and unprofessional (rolling their eyes at patrons, snickering and muttering in Spanish to themselves, etc.). They don't even know how to get the orders right (missing items). We witnessed them putting together a mobile order and scraping old queso into a cup and not even filling it up. Absolutely most disgusting restaurant I've been inside of that I can recently remember my last few years.... The food line + prep tables in the. Ack were extremely dirty Along with the dining area. Half of the dining area was closed off with garbage cans in the way with hand written notes on them saying "closed" There were random red baskets , silverware, sauces, napkins on all the tables. The entire restaurant was so messy - I should have left right after entering. They were out of rice and pico and some of the proteins. What really ruined my night and prompted me to leave this review was that I decided to use the restroom before leaving.....the bathroom smelled like literal sh** ! There was poop caked to the toilet boil it was so disgusting and i completely lost my appetite. This chipotle has the problem of workers that stop serving food well before closing time and start cleaning so they can leave earlier. 2nd time I walked in 40 mins before closing and they refused to refill a food carton - guacamole last time today black beans. Employees said they already started cleaning. They also took all the utensils out and left them on the dining table which I got to over a wet floor. Alerting management otherwise happy to report this as it falls below the expected food standards. read more

Anti-Child - Horrible Policies. We've now had two horrible experiences at this Chipotle. We came here two weeks ago and were told they could no longer make kids quesadillas or kids meals. At all. Period. (for our kids, not adults) Ok, fine, that's a staple menu item at EVERY OTHER CHIPOTLE but sure, the menu changes. We ordered a regular quesadilla life goes on. We came today and after waiting over 20 minutes in line, were told they would NOT make us ANY quesadilla. Despite it being on the menu. They said we had to leave and make an online order and come back to pick it up. I spoke to the manager and he confirmed that we could not wait in line and order a quesadilla. And it would take them at least thirty minutes to make. No explanation or reason. My two toddlers ove quesadillas a d love Chipotle and of course as soon as they heard this it was meltdown city. So thanks for that, guys. Meanwhile, I want to point out that this particular restaurant has been designed with no comfortable places for people with children to sit. They are all row benches with tall chairs, and only a couple booths that are immediately in the path of those ordering food. It definitely feels like malicious design to make it uncomfortable for anyone who wants to eat there. Honestly feels like whoever is setting the policies at this Chipotle discriminates against families and kids and is deliberately enacting policies (like saying they won't do kids meals and the seating arrangement) to drive families away. read more

This spot has really gone down the drain in recent years. Used to be my favorite 'healthy fast food' choice but as price went up, quality went down. Per usual. Food this time time I got it (ordered on app) was much too salty and watery. Rice undercooked (hard and grainy). Portions were all completely wrong - I ordered light rice and received a normal portion, then ordered extra fajitas/corn/cheese/lettuce and could barely find any (seemed like an extra light portion if possible)?? So weird. The past three times ordering on app has been like this - inaccurately sized portions, but overall very skimpy on everything. Chicken was not marinated well, but somehow the sauce on something else was oversalted... and on top of that found bone/cartilage. The last straw was that my order was received cold. Everything was a little bit chilly - the cold toppings had already brought the temperature of the warm things (beans, chicken, rice) to past room temperature into slightly cold territory even though it was received the moment it was ready (3 minutes later than said time). read more

Ordered a carnitas burrito bowl for takeout with a side of guac and everything was great. Super flavorful, tender meat, fresh veggies. Surprised for sure reading all the low reviews. I mean its an elevated fast food spot, during a pandemic. So my expectations aren't the same as they are for a fine dining spot. Sure, we had to wait an extra 10 minutes from the predicted pick up time, but this is pretty much the norm during these challenging times. I witnessed very poor customer service yesterday. To start there was a note on the door saying due to allow staff the store wasn't to be opened until 11:45. When we arrived at 11:30 I thought okay I'll wait 20 minutes. Then 11:45 comes along and now there's about 10 other people waiting for the doors to open. 11:55 I look in the glass and employees make eye contact with us but don't open the doors or even say come on in sit down while we finish up prepping or anything. Finally we left and so did everyone else waiting outside. Just not good service and this store definitely needs some help. I wasn't happy waiting 25 minutes to 1 nor have chipotle and 2 just be looked at couldn't even come to the door and let us in after waiting so long outside. It's a Chipotle. Food is decent. Staff is extremely apathetic and consistently unpleasant, but I still would come here fairly regularly as the food is as one would expect for a Chipotle. Tables are not cleaned well, so I usually get take out. Will not be returning to this location after today. Staff was in a worse mood than usual, and the portion size was absolutely tiny (bowl was about half full, barely enough food for a child). The larger person in front of me got over twice the amount of food in their bowl as I did, and they did not order any extras. When I kindly asked to please get additional rice/beans, as the portion size I was given was so small, I was rudely told that because I was a skinny guy mine should be enough. This place used to be great. I was shocked to see what a crap-hole it has devolved into. Dried guacamolle, salsa, and other indistinguishable food scabs on every table. Apparently tables don't get wiped off here. The bathroom was a absolutely disgusting...not just a broken, overflowing urinal, trash left all over the floor, but the walls, sink, mirror, pretty much all surfaces hadn't been wiped down in recent history. Here's the worst part, the food isn't being held at proper temperature. And no thought on preventing cross contamination. Let's just say, if the tables and bathroom are complexity filthy...what do you think the kitchen/food is like? What a shame this store has transformed into such a repulsive dive.
