How this place manages a 3.5-star average is beyond me. I've stopped in for lunch twice in the last 10 days, and both times they were out of multiple menu items with seemingly no urgency to restock them. How does a Chipotle run out of pico? On one visit it was, "Sorry, we're out of honey chipotle chicken", a promotional menu item!!!On another, they were out of brown rice, pico, and barbacoa. At that point, are you serving lunch or just conducting an inventory shortage demo? It's impressive, really. Most fast food restaurants try to have the ingredients needed to make their menu items available during lunch hours. Apparently that's an optional goal here. It's Chipotle, so you know what's up. I like this location because service was fast and efficient. I normally get the Barbacoa burrito bowl with a side of the large tortilla. Got my food in like 2 minutes. The only thing holding me back from leaving is because they ran out of the green Tabasco sauce at the self service counter and also had ran out of lids for the little containers to put them in. I had to go to the front and request them but the lady helping me out was able to find more in the back and was able to restock right away. She was friendly and very helpful. So I always get a kids quesadilla meal, and I always get lettuce on it frequently and MULTIPLE Chicago locations. Just to come here and be told that there's a charge for LETTUCE. Mind you I didn't get a bowl I got a kids meal. If it was a 50 cent charge or something I wouldn't have cared but why on God's green earth work I pay $2 for a sprinkle of lettuce when I can buy a whole head of lettuce for that price. Anywho, I decide not to get the lettuce and leave but come to find out I didn't receive the chips that come with the meal. The cashier (Pablo) was too focused on my few pieces of lettuce. I come back to ask for the chips but I have to wait because Pablo is too busy clicking his phone. Very GREEDY & DISSAPOINTING experience here. I'd suggest you go else. When I go in the app there's literally no extra charge for LETTUCE anywhere so I don't see why I was told that it was an up charge. Lol when I worked in fast food we definitely weren't allowed to be on our phones on the line, let alone infront of customers standing at the register but times have changed I guess. read more

I grab lunch from a Chipotle about once a week or once every two weeks. It's good, reliable, and quick... it's a Chipotle. During the week you will find a line from about noon until 1:30-ish but they do a pretty good job of moving people through at a steady clip. Quality is as good as any other location. This place gets super-busy, and the line can be almost out the door. However, don't let it deter you, because it moves very fast. I've ordered ahead a few times, online, but the order is never ready when it get there. So now, I just wait in line - takes about the same amount of time. A few times, the chips were stale, but they replaced them for us. It's my go-to spot if/when I don't bring my lunch to work. read more

This Chipotle is somewhat hidden compared to all of the others which makes it perfect for those in the know. The line was non-existent and there was a ton of seating. I deducted a star because this Chipotle like others always short change you on meat. The way around this is to ask, "Is that really 4 ounces of meat?" You don't want to say "add extra" because then they'll want to charge you extra. It's awkward, but you're the customer paying $9 for a burrito. How do I know that you get short changed? I weigh my food in order to count calories. In this instance my burrito should have weighed 21 ounces according to chipotle.com and it only weighed 19.5 ounces. I am certain that 1.5 ounce came from the steak since they always add extra rice, cheese, and sour cream. So, my burrito had 975 calories instead of the 1,050 calories stated since I didn't receive the 21 ounces. Also, since it was Cinco de Mayo, I asked for a bowl and a tortilla and rolled the burrito on my own at home. Ole! read more

3.5 I went to this Chipotle today around 1pm. There wasn't a long line. There were probably only 3 people in front of me and the line was moving fast. Until the woman in front of me demanded brown rice so we had to wait for it to be ready so she can get started on her meal. It would have been nice to serve the rest of us who didn't want brown rice but I was in no rush and a few minutes didn't kill me. I always get the burrito bowl but today I was craving an actual burrito. I got my burrito with the fillings and everything was fine except for the fact that I had very little meat and it was not closed properly. It was sloppy and even harder to eat. Might as well have gotten a burrito bowl because it just ended up not staying closed at all. I guess it was hard to close because it was stuffed but it was stuffed with rice and lettuce. I barley got a half scoop of chicken which was annoying. Love Chipotle, food tasted good. Please don't serve a crappy amount of meat next time. I would still go back. I've visited this location a few times. They're pretty good most of the time, but definitely not always. I normally don't do diets or any kind of restricted eating, and really love Chipotle's burrito bows. That white rice...I don't know what it is about it, sooo tasty! So, my usual experience with this location (typically, once every few weeks), is pretty good. Whether I order in person or online, the food is always delicious, and the staff is typically very friendly. However, I've found that the online ordering is not always accurate, and normally I don't mind a whole lot if they forget the veggies off my burrito bowl, or add extra random salsa that I didn't order. Except, I don't understand why this keeps happening, and it's a huge inconvenience when the ingredients really do matter. I recently started the keto diet, and placed an online order today thinking I could manage a decent keto-friendly lunch (while giving up my favorite white rice! :sob:). I used Chipotle's Nutrition Calculator on the website to very specifically calculate the high fat/low carb/low sugar ratios on my steak salad bowl. I was really hungry and really excited to eat this salad. I picked up my bowl, got it all the way back to my desk.....only to find no sour cream and no cheese on the bowl, but that it did contain vinaigrette and what I think was the tomatillo-green chili salsa. I ended up giving the salad to a coworker because going back to the restaurant for a re-make was not an option time-wise, and decided to just snack on some string cheese instead. In short, my advice is, if you are very particular about your meal, don't order online. Go into the restaurant, stand in the line, and watch them make your dish. I would like to preface this by saying this was my first time ever eating Chipotle.I found myself in the front of the line forced to make a rushed decision: salad or burrito bowl? Not having time to weigh my options and feeling pressure from the staff and hungry patrons behind me, salad was my choice. Better this way because I didn't need the carbs from the rice. Dressing on the side. Chicken please. Can I have veggies too? Um, no beans. Salsa? Mild, I guess? Corn - um sure. Guac? No thanks. Easy cheese please. I should have went with the margarita they cashier tried to upsell but was still overwhelmed from how quickly my salad was built I didn't have it in me to make another split second decision (and it was only noon...). Salad was good. Chicken was salty. I would get it again, when I am hungover and don't feel bad about adding sour cream. They lost a star simply because I felt rushed. I asked for a burrito which ended up being more of a burrito bowl since they smeared guac all over the outside of the tortilla. I've had worse but this was the worst. If you get a skinny girl with glasses and small stretched ear lobes then get a burrito bowl from her because hopefully she can't screw that up. read more

It really pains me to write this because I love Chipotle overall but do not go to this location - it's terrible. Every time I go the line takes forever regardless of what time it is. The staff is incapable of keeping up with food demands and constantly run out of things or leave you waiting while they finish cooking something. At least one part of my order is messed up (bad lettuce, undercooked or overcooked meat, unripe avocados in guacamole, etc) each time. You're better off walking up to the Franklin/Monroe location. read more

This is the best example of a extremely ineffienctly run operation. 2 workers in a line of 6 people doing all the work, I guess the others are there for moral support or to help hold the floor down. I can decide if the best part of the experience was watching the worker push a mop around and then proceed to use her un gloved hands to pick some salsa off the bar which ultimately fell into the sour cream or the hungry work enjoying a piece a chicken as he cut it up. The rice was very hard and cold, lettuce was rippled and the guacamole was brown all through out. my lunch break was over by the time I made it back o my desk, so I could not go back. I called and spoke to a manager and she said her name was Yevee. I explained to her my dissatisfaction with my order and Instead of apologizing and trying to resolve it, she stated "she was the manager and she taste all the food that is prepared and no one else complained about the food today." she displayed very poor customer service and should not represent the chipotle brand. I went to order a chicken quesadilla, which I love at Chipotle, and I asked employee for some grilled veggies inside and she told me it can only be filled with chicken and cheese. Then I asked for some sour cream to have with my meal and she said that the quesadilla doesn't come with anything else or it would be considered a side charge. So to clarify you can get a burrito filled with everything with an upcharge up extra or guacamole but with a chicken quesadilla only can be with chicken quesadilla at the same price?? After all said and done I got my chicken quesadilla with sides of lettuce, tomatoes, and sour cream totaling 12.50. Once I unwrapped my quesadilla it was soggy with grease and not cut!
