i'm so sick of coming to this location. i just went in a few minutes ago and the employees act as if they're paying for the portions themselves. i got 1/3rd of a scoop for my sofrita veggies & was told it was gonna be extra for another scoop by the brown haired girl with braids (i took two bites and my sofritas were gone. I asked for guacamole and got 1/3rd of a scoop by the same girl while another employee was giving out appropriate scoops, when i asked for another scoop she got sassy and closed my lid. why am i gonna pay over $2 for a scoop of guacamole and veggies that i literally finish in a 3-4 bites. spend your money elsewhere. read more

waited in a long line and when we got to the end to pay, the cashier said that they only took exact change or card. which we had neither of. I had cash, but not exact change and did not have my card. Honestly I've been going to this location for a while and I've always loved it. But I don't know if y'all got a new manager or what because the service has gone straight to Shit. When I first started coming to this location my burritos were FAT!! And I mean loaded. Now.. my burritos are smaller then my hand and I'm a size xs in gloves.. I always get plain white rice because I don't like lime and they put maybe 3 grains on it and then slump on the meat.. I always have to ask for like 3 scoops of rice because there is never any. And then by the time I get to the register the cashier is always rude. Always rushing me to pay, gets upset when I don't already have my card out. And then to top it off, I have to put my own food in the bag. They used to put it in the bag for me, now once I pay they shoo me along and ring up the next customer while I'm still trying to grab my food... management needs to step in and fix the customer service because it's absolutely insane... your staff always seems like they hate their jobs... read more

This location has had management problems for years. More recently, every time I go in, they are out of fajita veg. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. And I always want the veggie bowl, no meat. Today I asked for a manager so I could ask him/her to do something proactive to solve this problem. The "manager" looked about the same age as my 22-yo son. He started with the excuses: product shortage, labor shortage, etc. I interrupted him just long enough to say that management is the issue and needs to be better, when a girl rushed over, couldn't be more than 16 years old, claimed SHE was the manager (I didn't believe her), and proceeded to bawl me out. Yelled that 3 people called out today, line out the door (not while I was there), and she didn't have time to cut and cook veg all day. I again started to say that this is a management issue. Then she yelled "If you want it so bad, go back to the kitchen and cook it yourself!" I answered, "If that is your attitude, then I will take myself and my money out the door." Seriously? I ate here a few years ago before the big health scare and I was not impressed at all. My husband dragged me in there kicking and screaming today and surprisingly I loved every moment of it. I watch them preparing burritos that easily could easily feed a starving family of four, they have a variety of sauces, pico de gallo, medium, hot and corn. They have chicken, beef, Carnitas, Barbacoa and some beautiful thing called "sofrita" which is made with chili's, spices and tofu. I was not brave enough to try the sofrita but it looked better than any meat they actually had on the menu. I had the burrito bowl which is anything you want except for tortilla shell and it was absolutely delicious. I had mine with the medium salsa and corn salsa top with cream and cheese and lettuce and cilantro lime rice, pinto beans it was absolutely the perfect meal. Left there completely satisfied, not overstaffed and the portions are very generous. The entire menu is very fresh, it's light but still generous portions so you are full but not that overfilling so you can still enjoy your day or evening without regretting every bite you took. I myself and surprise of this review and I'm looking forward to going back. read more

I generally think Chipotle is a decent place, but this location is especially dreadful. They made me the smallest, most pitiful ass burrito bowl and even when I tried to provide valuable direction (for example: I asked for a lot of lettuce), it still ended poorly. I was left with a gross, overly small burrito-bowl, that was literally DROWNING in sour cream. I ended up eating like five bites of my food and legitimately considered asking them to remake it...... but the line got so long I said fuck it and just called this one a loss. When I got to the cashier, the dude rudely exclaimed, "let me guess, you have a coupon!" Uhmmm what? That's pretty rude bro and no, I don't have a coupon. read more

As much as I love other chipotles I've been to, this one is a sad excuse for a restaurant. The tables are always dirty. If you ask someone to clean them off, they roll their eyes and stomp over and do the poorest clean up job ever. My 2 year old does a better clean up job. I've also gotten raw meat and super crunchy undercooked rice. I can see why people were getting sick from eating here! Don't waste your money and go somewhere else. read more

I have nothing bad to say about this place. Every time I have been here I have always had a good experience. The food is relatively cheap (7-8 dollars for a burrito) and it's always a very big burrito. It's not very big inside but that's fine as it's not really a sit down restaurant. If the health inspector walked in on this place right now they'd be compelled to shut it down. Literally every table is littered and filthy, the burrito-line was wrecked and grimy, the guy pressing the tortillas was rude and gave me a skimpy/child-sized portion that was 50% lettuce. The guacamole was a heavily oxidized and sweaty looking-brown. I've cooked and worked in food-service for 14+ years. This location is a pig-sty and there isn't enough business to justify this sort of mess. There is no excuse and this is like the one thing that enrages me. I know Chipotle has had problems in the past with cross-contamination, at least for this location, there are serious issues that remain to be fixed. I saw one sanitary bucket in the back and it looked old and filthy... more importantly, it was not being used! Maybe that's a good thing. I dunno. Yes, they are now owned by the dreaded McDonald's conglomerate. You can't fault the enterprising chef from Denver who built the empire, then sold out. Like you WOULDN'T! It's the newfangled American Way. Don't you know some of these Chipotles now have Drive Thru???? As long as you remember to not let them stuff your wrap full of filler rice and frijoles, you can have a pretty kick-arse meal, and limit the cheap carb damage. The steak and chicken are uniformly grilled to tender, tasty perfection. The namesake Chipotle sauce isn't nearly sufficiently zesty, but IS pretty darn tasty.... Along with the drive through, if they stayed open at least a couple hours later at night, this could be a rare fast food 5 stars....... read more

This location is the worst! Their entrance is more akin to the entry to a prison than a restaurant...cattle line. I get my magical tacos and wanted a small root beer. Guess what is out of order!? I don't drink any of the other offers so I try to enquire but no and no...stares at me....blank ones Sooooo I just bought a drink I am not drinking. Then I get into the restaurant and OMFG...renew on so many freaking levels!!!! All trash cans overflowing with garbage, the floor covered in debris and not a single table clean...there was food everywhere. So my boyfriend and I LOVE chipotle. We just moved to the area and this is the closest to us. And sad to say it was definitely the worst chipotle we ever had. To start off, the line was wrapping around the inside of the restaurant. We thought, eh, let's just give it a try and see what happens. After standing in like for 40 minutes we were ready to order our food . We both wanted bowls with black beans. They were out of black beans and gave us pinto without asking. That's great if you like pinto, but we don't. So I felt bad they had to start all over. They said that they were all out of black beans until their next shipment came in too. That isn't on the workers fault, it's on whoever is supposed to order. When checking out the person at the register was rude, and I understand you are having to deal with the dinnertime rush but at least be polite. When we ate our food at home, it was the smallest bowl I have ever had from chipotle. The bowls usually last me 2-3 meals, (I get double of a lot and I eat small portions) and this one only lasted me for 1 meal. Not to mention the rice was really dry like it was day old. And the chicken was very dry. The restaurant itself seemed clean and well maintained. Maybe I just went on a really off day. Used to be a big fan and ate Chipotle for a long time, but due to locations near my last 2 homes...its been 5 years+. Compared to the past, well McD's sure has changed this place for the worse. Food is smaller, everything has changed to lesser tastier ingredients and freaking salty. This specific location at 5:30 pm on a Saturday, filthy. Tables, every single one of them, were dirty. Garbages overflowing (2/3). Everyone sat and had to brush off the remaining food detritus. Gal on break across from an overflowing can, got up and went back to work. No one came to empty. She looked as sad as the shape of the floors. The food was edible. Service fine. Cleanliness, well at least no one took a dump on the floor. We won't be back. read more

I AM DONE WITH CHIPOTLE!....I am tired of being rushed through like cattle so they can get to the next person. I ordered a burrito bowl (the woman was in such a flurry hurry), she ended the ingredients with a mound of lettuce on top...forgot the guacamole (which I noticed) after I sat down. Had to bring it back over. They rush you so fast, they miss ingredients, and what is up with so little meat now? (making sure you don't get as much coli?)..lol..I mean honestly I had to ask for more meat (and she said thats extra!)...rudely...I said I know. It's the subway of burritos nothing special. The line was horrendously long and they were so busy the tables hadn't been cleaned since the lunch rush trash was overfilled and spilling over. I thought hey why not try something new I've heard all these great things about chipotle, but I definitely would of had a better burrito and a relaxed atmosphere if I'd just went to Muchas Gracias right up the street. I will be crossing chipotles off my list. Been there done that kinda restaurant. I felt so hurried out so someone else could scramble for our seat we left before finishing and went and ate at the park down the street where we could enjoy our meal. The last time we pulled up to this Chipotle there was a sign on the door that said 'ran out of food' at 7 o'clock in the evening. So tonight we called first to see if they were open and no one answered the phone. We took a chance and drove over and they were open. There were so many people working that it was unbelievable they could not answer the phone. After walking through the door, they announced they were out of many items: rice, guac, fajitas, cilantro, dressing etc.... I'm not sure what is going on. While we were standing in line, an hour before they are set to close, they are pulling the serving prep area apart to clean while we were attempting to order. There were plenty of people in line that they should have serviced the customers first. Spraying cleaner on the glass near the food was unacceptable. I'm not sure if this is a theme with chipotle now or if it is just this one in specific. It needs to be reviewed by corporate. Seriously disappointed. read more

This Chipotle is consistently terrible. If you have never experienced the feeling of an avocado peel raking it's way down your esophagus visit this place, since my wife has had this pleasure three times courtesy of the employees here, it's not a stretch that you, too can know this joy on any given day! Among the obvious lack of quality control for the guac they also suffer from incredibly long wait times. Now I am not talking long lines, because that is commonplace at most Chipotles, I mean you can be third in line and still be waiting 15 minutes to place your order. This could be due to incredibly slow staff, or to the fact that they constantly run out of ingredients and have to have the kitchen make them on the spot. It took me many visits to write this review because I could not believe that this was a consistent occurrence given the consistency you usually get at Chipotle, but today was the last straw. The place is generally a disaster. The energetic buzz that is usually present as the workers fight to quickly feed the frenzied masses at other locations is replaced by a drone of melancholy and apathy. The portions are always on the skimpy side, probably because they are always almost out of everything, so the front line person is trying to stretch what they have. Whatever the reason it doesn't really matter, because I won't be bothered by it anymore. I live in Happy Valley but the next time I get a hankering for Chipotle I would rather drive to the airport than give this shit show another shot. read more

This place has probably the worst customer service problems of any restaurant I've been to in the Portland area. On multiple occasions, we've done takeout, arrived at home, only to discover that they forgot to put the vinaigrette dressing into the to-go order. On other occasions, we've ordered takeout, and they forgot to put in the vinaigrette dressing, and we have to ask them to put it in at the store. Another thing that has happened on multiple occasions is that we order guacamole as an add-on for something, they don't put the guacamole on, but they charge us. We only discover the absence of the guacamole when we get home. Plus, they don't seem to learn from their mistakes. We've pointed out these issues many times, the problems are clearly chronic, but they don't seem to fix them. While their food is pretty good, I absolutely recommend avoiding this place until they get their customer service act together. read more

I love chipotle. One would say I'm addicted even. It's an absolute shame the only one remotely close to me is this location on 82. It's absolutely terrible nearly every time I visit. .. And that's, unfortunately for me, multiple times a week. Visit at your own risk people of yelp. I like chipotle a lot and I've been to this location many times. Lately it's been really bad though. First off they have been EXTREMELY slow at moving the line through. Only one or two people on the main food line which is strange. Portions are pretty average but if I'm paying 2 bucks for guacamole on my food I expect a decent portion. They used to give a good portion. Now I've seen the supervisors lecture the workers about "you need to put less" and one happened to be on my food. I told them no I expect an average portion of Guac. Napkin/cutlery are not stocked. Long line moved very, very slowly. Skimped me on rice, beans, and veggies. Rice undercooked. I really enjoy Chipotle for the price an quantity of food. I most likely won't ever come back to this location. I placed my order online and showed up 23min later. I walked up to the front counter and these two girls where chatting it up. Then they realized that they needed to help someone, she asked for my name and went and ask the girl how much longer for my order and she said "Well he's 20min early so it will be 20 min" I told the girl to cancel my order and she asked if I was sure. Needless to say they need some help in communication to the public. So it would have been 40min for me to get a burrito bowl. I've only been here twice now... Well technically three times, but the first time I turned around and left when I saw how long the line was. The two times I actually ate here were good. I got a burrito both times (the bowls are good, but why mess with a fork when you can just shove it directly into your face??) and both times the burritos were good (a little sloppily wrapped, but tasty and big), and consistent. I see other people have issues with consistency, two visits are obviously not enough to form a great opinion on consistency, but so far so good! I highly recommend NOT coming during lunch rush. The line filled the whole queue area and went down the side of the building... Making meals pieced together ingredient by ingredient is time consuming, it just is, people hem and haw, it takes a minute. So the line doesn't move horribly fast. But the other two times I came I came around one, still pretty close to lunch, and there was no line. I had to wait for more brown rice to finish cooking once and they gave me a free drink for the 'inconvenience'. So that was nice too. I will certainly be coming back, large burritos are kind of my thing... Hopefully they stepped up their consistency game and I won't have the same issues others have. read more
