(2/5) I went to Chipotle after a long day at my hospital job and ordered a bowl (DELISH BTW), but unfortunately had a disappointing experience with one of the staff members. First, the girl behind the counter added corn to my bowl on accident even though I didn't ask for it -- which honestly wasn't a big deal at all, so I didn't say anything. But it was what happened after that that rubbed me the wrong way. When I got to the register, my total came to $20.01 and I apologized to the cashier (who was a younger girl) for not having a penny. The cashier didn't say anything, just handed me my change, dropped it into my hand so it flew everywhere, and walked away without offering to help or even apologizing. That alone I could've brushed off, but when I was waiting for my queso cup, she threw it across the counter at me when she was literally inches away, instead of handing it over -- then gave me a dirty look. It was uncalled for, especially since I was being so kind to them, and really disappointing after what had otherwise been a good meal. I get that everyone has tough days, but kindness goes a long way...especially in customer service. Not a big deal, but kinda frustrating and hope no one else has to deal with that. read more

This place is a mess. Most of the food containers were nearly empty, and, instead of going to the back to grab more food, the employee was scraping the crumbs of rice left and put those scraps on my bowl. I got the smallest portion I've ever gotten at a Chipotle because these people are lazy and unprofessional. The fajitas ran out, so instead of going to the back and getting more, the employee told me they're all out. It is 5:30PM. You are not out for the day. Again, too lazy to do their jobs. There were about 5 or so employees behind the counter and not one of them was cooking. I paid full price for a bowl that has a toddler's serving of rice, no fajitas (which is my favorite part of Chipotle bowls), and barely a tablespoon of guac (which is an extra $3). The employee seemed annoyed when I told her what I wanted on my bowl as if it were a bother or like I'm asking for too much. As if I'm not paying money for this. She gave a tiny pinch of lettuce. I then asked for more lettuce and she gave just a pinch more. Then, she assumed I was taking it to go and she packed my food in a bag. I told her I'm dining in, and she did not give me a tray or do anything different. So I grabbed my bag and left. I'm actually glad I didn't dine in because the place is a disgusting mess. It's clear that no one cares to cook or clean in this establishment. This place is an embarrassment. I regret wasting my money and time here. I've never had an experience like this at a Chipotle. Quick review for Chipotle on good ol Motor Parkway. Stopped in on the way home. Got my usual of the white rice (sometimes I get brown but I prefer white), black beans, Chicken, roasted corn salsa, green tomatillo salsa, cheese, with guacamole on the side. Man... I can't help it but I love Chipotle's guac. It's so good. Anyway... Chipotle you always make me satisfied so thank you. Wish you carried Cholula hot sauce cause I'd switch it up once and a while. Holy busy batman! Make sure you order ahead of time and just pick it up!! Standard fair, its chipotle. The only one in the area though, so its always busy. My order: a salad with everything. I mean, literally everything. It's glorious and huge. It's FAR bigger than Cabo Fresh which is the new Chipotle wannabe in town. Is their food tasty or authentic. One good thing about this multiplication Tex Mex grill chain is that since the salmonella scare, the lines are significantly shorter. Here in Hauppauge, sometimes we would wait a half hour to order. It's still a decent fast food chain serving tacos, burritos and salads. My favorite is the barbacoa burrito even though the staff can never seem to wrap a proper burrito. Always comes out as an uneven ball. The usually rude staff here rush you to order so know what you want before hand. It's more expensive than Taco Bell obviously but you're getting better ingredients here. Not great but a decent place to come for lunch. read more

I really really hate to do this but..I went last night with my free burrito coupon to give them a shot again. To be honest Im going to deal with it regardless because I like chipotle but it just stinks that they cant get it together. They USED to have it together back in 2012 but...heres how yesterday went after my complaining 2 months ago: THE BAD STUFF FIRST: 1) a line wrapped around the entire perimeter all the way to the bathroom 2) The entire place was filthy...I don't just mean dinner rush filthy I mean obvious all day has not been swept or tables washed, lemons restocked, everything was a mess. 3) unfortunately, the food had no taste this time at all. It needed salt pepper adobo and hot sauce and was still off. Oh and the brown rice was crunchy. 4) very understaffed...a few more and none of this negative would exist because there would be help at the counter which will move the line, and people to take five minutes once an hour to sweep the garbage. I am so not kidding when I tell you there was A SOCK on the floor on my way out. I took pics when i was on line but my hands were full on the way out so I didn't get the sock. I assure you it WAS THERE. no joke, swear it on my life. THE GOOD THINGS: 1) I appears they have a new staff. All smiley and friendly..really, above and beyond great improvement over last time. 2) no confusion at the counter, all the foods fully stocked no waiting for steak (except they ran out of white rice but that can happen) but almost completely one point despite a huge crowd. I dont knw what to say. Its a love hate relationship here. Its like buying food inside of a subway and doing it over and over because you like the food so you ignore the filth. It is what it is. We only go when the crave is overwhelming because of the underwhelming way it is run. Atleast the staff is nice now that helps. Chipotle Mexican Grills are ubiquitous in most parts of the country, but there is only one (relatively) near me on Long Island and I've never really lived close enough to one to catch their explosion in popularity across the country. Of course, my friends in other states rave about them all the time and frequently make it their usual lunch place. Long story short, this was like the third time I'd been to a Chipotle and the first time on Long Island. I really enjoyed the food, and this location is very well set up for the lunch crowd. I arrived about ten minutes before the rush and already had my food when a huge stream of people started to come through. They really handled the crowd and the flow well and the seating is very good for a fluid lunch crowd. When it is very busy, you may end up sitting right next to another person but I never saw people without a place to sit at all. I had the basic grilled chicken burrito with brown rice and guacamole -- had I been paying closer attention I would have added the grilled peppers and onions but by the time I realized they were an option my burrito was all wrapped up and ready to go (they were that fast!). In retrospect, I probably should have ordered it as a bowl (no tortilla) because once I get all the extras, it is difficult to eat with my hands and I like to add lots of different hot sauces. I read some of the other reviews and there was a concern about the cleanliness of the restaurant. When I was there I found the place to be very clean, but I could see that at lunch time a huge number of people come through and I'm sure the counters and the floor at the end of the rush could be worse for wear. I used the restroom, and it was very, very clean but it was designed for one person at a time so it would only take one careless person to ruin it until it was cleaned again.
