The tables are awkwardly cramped together, it's too-well lit. Antiseptic. The industrial vibe is gone. The staff seem dazed. Maybe they feel like they're stuck in the naughty corner? Always closed. The other day the mall lost power and the manager sent everyone home. For $19.00 an hour on a part time job I'd sit there all day and more. Went in yesterday. No Guacamole even though it was 1058 am and they just opened. No veggies. I asked and someone yelled back...I don't want to cook them. Woman at the line didn't look at me and got made when I asked about portions because IT gave me 1/2 spoon of rice (knocking it off with her fingers before serving it, and even less chicken. (I asked for a burrito bowl) I am an extremely polite person but not this time. When I asked about the amount being served I got an eyeroll and a big sigh to which I said cancel order and walked out. Bowls were less than 1/2 full on line--WHY YOU OPENED 12 minutes before. Place is always closed. Workers act like they are entitled to their wage instead of having to work for it. This place is a nightmare in every way possible. I went there when they first opened in their original location. It was only open about a month and my first time to any Chipotle I was surprised to find every table dirty and only staffed by young teenagers being loud and obnoxious and definitely not working! I thought it sad that a brand new restaurant had already gone downhill so soon after opening, but little did I know it was only going to get so much worse. We went there a few times last year. The employees were horrible. It' was like walking into the Twilight Zone. They stared at us like something was wrong yet no one communicating anything! All we wanted was some food! They made us feel very very unwelcome there. Out of all the employees there was only one who was at least trying to be helpful and courteous. We ordered ahead online and of course when we got there they did not have the chips and never bothered to tell us. They had no silverware. The place was filthy, the tables, counters and trash overflowing. The woman who worked there was not meant for food service or working with people. She was just terrible. She let it be known she couldn't care less. All the other employees were of the same attitude except for the one who seemed better. The food was almost cold. We waited twice as long as they told us it would be. We honestly would not have minded at least if the food was hot. Selections were limited as well. On another occasion my husband nicely asked them for silverware. A different woman rudely told him there was none. He got a little upset with her nasty attitude (and the general attitude of everyone who worked there) and she screamed "Don't ever come back here again!" which was completely absurd. Lol. Anyway...after all this mistreatment and incompetence I wrote to corporate telling them that it seemed as if they do not care at all about this restaurant evident by the way things are run. I was honestly concerned that people were going to get sick due to the absolute lack of anyone caring about anything there'. I have been sick from food poisoning before from a chain restaurant off cape and I honestly thought I was going to die. I sincerely hoped someone would read my letter and care to look into it and make changes. I never heard from anyone. I am truly sad that what could be a great restaurant is so badly mismanaged that it should be shut down for the safety of everyone who eats there.. How is it possible that no one is accountable here? We have been to the Hyannis Chipotle 3 times in the last month, eating there only once. Each time the tables and kitchen are dirty. Each time they are out of a food item. Today, no chicken and no white rice, sometimes guacamole or salsa or cheese. How does this restaurant operate? There is never a friendly greeting. After asking for the supervisor one staff person acted like there was no supervisor available but then called for another stragglers meeting to help. He was sorry they just ran out of chicken and had no rice. He wasn't happy when I mentioned the tables are always dirty. Our food wasn't ready for 45 minutes after they said it would be. We ordered at 2:35, the app said food would be ready at 2:50, we got our order at about 3:35, so about an hour to get two burritos. No consistency at this location both for food or staff. I order the same thing on a regular basis and every time I go in I see someone new. Today they tried charging me $16 for something I normally get for $10. That I've been getting for $10 for years. The girl who set up my order only gave me a portion of what I normally get. And when I told the cashier how much it normally is he just argued with me. I left my food after that. On a side note they are always out of something on their menu, staff will completely ignore you when your standing in line, and most of the time there is one employee working their butt off on the line but the rest of the staff is fooling around laughing and joking while ignoring the poor shlub in need of staff support working the line asking for help. I have given this place so many chances since it's the only one for quite a distance and I think today is my final time visiting this specific restaurant. The employees don't care. They make awful food which is usually burned. The wait times are ridiculous, I've ordered food and had to leave without my order because my lunch break ended and they could not make my food within a 30 minute time frame (mobile order). Soda machines are either out of order or taste like cleaning fluids. Location is usually dirty or has chairs in half of the restaurant stacked on top of tables. And the service is abysmal in nearly every way. For the price I'm paying it's not worth it, Taco Bell would be a better option. This location used to be great, but they've gone downhill. The last several visits I've had, service has been inconsistent (servers blatantly ignoring me when Im the only one in the line vs servers apologizing for a 20 minute wait) and food has hasn't been great (undercooked rice, overcooked chicken, ignoring double portion sizes when asked). I highly recommend you DON'T use Chipotle for catering. I ordered online over 24 hours before pick up time. I received 2 confirmation emails assuring me the order would be ready. When I got there at 11:30 AM not only was the order not ready, and no one had a clue about it. Once they found my order in the back office they proceeded to put it together. It was only for 10 people, but it took them 45 minutes to put it together. In the meantime I watched well over 15 people come in individually with a preparation time of less than five minutes. When I called earlier that morning to ask if I could get more to go balls, I couldn't get through to the store. The local numbers on Google divert you to corporate. When I called to inform Chipotle of the big mistake they put in a case and issued me a small portion of a refund. I asked them not to refund my card because the amount is attached to my company expenses and that just makes this a bigger headache. I will continue to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars in business catering orders with someone else. Which is too bad because people like the food. read more

Went to chipotle because it is one of my favorite food chains. Immediately from the second you walk in you can tell why this place has 2 stars. There was one person running the entire place and it was around 3pm, usually a busy time for a restaurant. Anyways it took about 10 minutes of waiting in line just to order. I ordered a burrito and the one person running the place asked what rice I wanted. I said I wanted brown rice but she said there was no more, so I told he I would wait for the next batch of it. After I say that 5 people appear from the back of the restaurant and start to make it. She tells me it should take around 15 to 20 minutes to make, which is ridiculous considering how many people were there. I decided to get white rice to make things easy but when I told her I wanted chicken on my burrito she said she was out of that too. I yet again said it was okay and moved on (big mistake). When we went over to the side of the counter where the vegetables and guacamole was supposed to be I saw that was completely empty as well. I told her at this point it was ridiculous and I was going to leave. She told me I couldn't leave and had to pay for the burrito which was going to be $10 for rice and beans. I told her no and walked out. I will never go here again and am highly disappointed with this considering I love chipotle and have never had an experience like this at any other location. read more

I just went to Chipotle on Hyannis, MA after 12 years of not having done so. It was our favorite family restaurant in Fort Collins CO so many years ago to the point we went there every day. I always had the Fajita Bowl and chips and dip and loved it so much family gave us gift certificates. What a disappointment after so long. The chips were stale. Paying $3.95 for stale chips and a tiny container of queso. The Fajita chicken bowl I loved so much, they hardly put any chicken in it.The staff/servers so un-alive. read more

You walk in when it is slow to pick up your order at the time you asked and the person making online orders isn't there and there are 3+ people ahead of you seemed as if nothing was getting done. No politeness from the employees. I work in the retail industry and I know when I'm busy I'm still polite. The place had a few people scattered around but by no means was it busy it was basically empty. I haven't gotten good food here in awhile either doesn't taste fresh. Your only choice of payment is Apple Pay and as a 16 year old I can't use Apple Pay so I couldn't order anything which was upsetting. I'm a long time Chipotle customer and was really disappointed with the quality of the ingredients and service I received at this location tonight. An hour and a half before close, there's no excuse to scrape the bottom of the container of beans for a few beans and juice and the pico de gallo was essentially all juice from the tomatoes. Instead of getting a fresh container, my server simply scooped the tomato juice onto my burrito. When she wrapped my burrito, juices were everywhere, making a complete mess and spilling out onto the aluminum wrapping. Instead of getting a new wrapping, she simply ignored the poor state of my burrito, half-wrapped it, and stuck it in a bag, the bottom of which is now soaking wet from my unraveling burrito. As a member of the working class, I can't afford to eat out often, says this experience feels like an extra punch in the gut. I'm an avid chipotle fan and this meal didn't even taste like chipotle. Workers were very slow (standing around, giggling at eachother, debating who should take the next order) and did not know how to fold a burrito. Mine fell apart upon opening the foil and the person next to me's (made by a different worker) had a huge hole in it so the worker simply put another tortilla around it instead of moving ingredients to a new tortilla. My tortilla was burnt, the chips were undercooked and over salted, and the chicken was burnt to a crisp and very dry. The person next to me ordered mild salsa and were given hot by accident, and when the worker realized, they didn't even remake the order.
