I go to this location weekly-ish for the last month or so, I go less now. At this point, I just know something will go wrong, whether it's putting too much in a burrito and not being able to wrap it, having a bad attitude, not having items ready and waiting on toppings it's all happened multiple times. I really want to give this place more then 2 stars. The staff don't seem so nice but one was. They try and load you up on rice and very little extras. I asked for lettuce and got 7 little peaces no joke. Then the meat was just tough and didn't taste very good. For being in the North Shore this place stinks. read more

I was there on September 18, about 5:30pm. It seems the order taker, a short, lovely African-American lady who wears glasses simply could not end her conversation with her coworker long enough to take some food requests. I was third in line. When she finally got around to putting the gloves on, she managed to get ONE on before turning to resume her conversation with her coworker. I didn't wait for her to get the second one on. Very little meat. Very little guac , it costs 2 dollars. A lot of rice, i can barely taste the low ammount of meat. Steak and chicken always overcooked. Steak is suppose to be medium rare. One of the workers , a skinny young boy with lots of acne always paying his attention to the crowd ( talking with people he knows, or staring at the women who are in line) , and has gotten my order wrong and gave me basically no meat both times. Terrible service, food quality and management. Took 15 minutes to order and get the food with at least 10 employees that I could see working and only 6-8 people in line. Tables were ridiculous filthy. Food all over the floor and tables everywhere. The food was cold and the corn taco tortillas were very cold and dense. We brought this to the managers attention and we're told "there is nothing that I can do". I would have been happy if he were to offer heating it up. I've been to Chipotle many times and never had this type of experience. I'll never return to this location. read more

I've visited this Chipotle 3 or 4 times and have always had a positive experience. The seating area always looks clean and tidy, and all the ingredients always look fresh and tasty (please see my reviews of the Deerfield Chipotle - the pinto beans seem to always be drying/caking up). I really appreciate that they're open until 10pm. In this general area, it's hard to find quality fast foot options after 8 or 9pm. Finally, I've always had an easy time finding parking. read more

Awful, simply awful for a brand new restaurant. Went in for a late lunch bowl to go and it turned out terrible. Waited for a very long time, I think the staff is ill prepared and require more training, especially during peak rush times. No black beans. What shocked me was two management personnel were in the front of the restaurant at the time and didn't bother to assist the staff as the long line formed in the practically empty restaurant. I was dumbfounded that they didn't want to help or couldn't see the long line forming b/c of the untrained staff. Unfortunately I won't be going back even tho it's cheaper than The Other Door. This is the worse chipotle place I have ever been 2. They are stingy they act like they are trying to save the food for themselves to take home after they close. I have to ask for more sides every time and they just give you a weird look. This is very close to my home but I would rather drive 15mns for another location. My husband and I frequent this location way more often then I'd like to admit. Customer service is always excellent and food just the same. However yesterday, the customer service blew me out of the water. I had a coupon to use (or I thought because stupid me didn't read it thoroughly) and the manager saw me trying to figure out what happened, she completely comp'd my burrito even though this issue was my fault! She said "you know, I'd be really disappointed if I came out and had a coupon to use only to find out it doesn't start until July 1st". We obviously paid for my husbands burrito and our drinks. Before that, every employee on the assembly line was friendly and even asked us how our day was going, and this is prime dinner time (6:30). My very first time at this restaurant. The staff was friendly and nice. The only issue I had was that we had to wait a little longer on our food. They didn't have enough chicken cooked so we had to wait on that. But when I was paying for my order the guy at the register gave me a coupon for a free meal for next time. He apologized for my wait. I wasn't expecting that so I was pleased. While we were eating one of the staff came by and asked how we were doing. Over all I'm pleased with the place and service. read more

I can't say enough about Jose who is the store manager at this location. Not only is the food always top notch but Jose goes the extra mile for every patron. This evening, I was ready to pay after my burrito was made perfectly and I realized that I didn't have my wallet on me. Without hesitation Jose told me "don't worry about it" and gladly took care of the charges for me. It's great to know that there are still great people in this world. Thank you Jose, you are the man! damn who ever the girl was at the front helping in the packers gear on Oct 31st can really use an attitude check and maybe smile some more maybe she'll be less miserable taking other peoples orders. Walked in and right off the bat got an eye roll. Seemed pissed off she had to take my order. (even though its probably in the job description you applied for.) More people kept coming in behind me and you can tell she was getting more pissed. Not a pleasant experience if its someones first time there. Maybe get someone at the front that is more welcoming. What a shame chipotle hires people like that. ALSO Brought my food home and ended up having a piece of CARTILAGE in my chicken. Tried to call and let them know was told there is nothing they can do and that they'll "fix" it next time. All the reviews on here about this place is a 100% right. This Chipotle needs to train its cooks better. My daughter and her friends were so excited about a Chipotle opening so close to LFHS. Unfortunately, she has known 4 people who were ill after eating the chicken here, and twice she ordered the chicken (once with me) and got all the way to home to discover it was not thoroughly cooked and she had to pick it all off. She said it also had no seasoning on it, compared to her normal Chipotle experience, (she usually goes to Highland Park). What a shame. Now the high school kids are scared to eat here. read more

This place does not meet the quality standards of a normal Chipotle (which I've eaten at hundreds of times - I'm from California). I had one bowl here during the day last week and it was pretty good. Last night I ordered a bowl online around dinner time for pickup and what I got was inedible. 70% of the "chicken" in my bowl was big chunks of fat, and the actual "meat" of the chicken was badly badly burnt. So burnt that the burnt taste rubbed off on the whole rice/beans/veggies of the bowl. None of the "special instructions" on the online ordering form were followed. Sad to say they lost my service with that horrible bowl last night. Don't expect the normal standards of Chipotle elsewhere when attending this Lake Bluff location. read more

I have been to this Chipotle for lunch that past two days. I waited in a not very long line for 30 minutes both times. Also I am getting not proportionate servings, way too much rice, less than a quarter of a spoon of guacamole when other locations give one full spoon. I have been to many locations new and old and this is the worst and slowest location/service I have had. Please train the employees and give them some coffee, they all looked overworked and unhappy. Overall, not worth coming to this location, go to Vernon hills or Waukegan. read more

Lines are fine if you get something that you are expecting, but in the two times I've gone there I've never gotten anything that remotely tastes good. The chicken is always burnt to the point of inedibility, like blackened, I could only eat half of one taco each trip. Also they're clueless as far as how much meat/toppings to put on anything that isn't a burrito so more then likely you won't get enough. And don't hold your breathe if you want chips, they run out. Was so excited for this chipotle but now I'll wait a solid month before going back so they can get their act together. *And this is irrelevant but the parking lot is a joke, there will be a collision any day now because the road simply isn't wide enough to be two-way. read more
