I checked online for the hours of the store as I wouldn't want to interrupt closing time. The store has 10pm listed. I came to this chipotle at 8pm and they were "out of" many things on the line as they said that those items were reserved for online orders. We could clearly see the ingredients just with lids on them. How is that fair? Because we came to the store and didn't order online we should have different expectations? I am not sure how this seems right. If the store is not able to fulfill all orders, why have the option of ordering online. read more

Yeah this place sucks if you're wanting Chipotle. The Hispanic lady with the nose piercing has been there forever and I believe is the manager. She is terrible at portions and never is in a good mood. If you get a chicken burrito bowl, she'll give you half a scoop of chicken instead of a normal scoop. She does this half-scoop toss into your bowl which literally looks like just crumbs. You're basically eating a bowl of just rice and beans at this point. If you want a normal portion of chicken you have to ask for double chicken and even at that point it's nothing compared to other Chipotle spot's serving size. The few times I come in to this place and I see another staff member doing the handing out of food, I'm thankful. But then she jumps in to do my bowl and it's a beans and rice meal. I'm beginning to think bad service just comes with chipotle. When made properly and given the quantity you pay for, it is good. That said, a pleasurable food experience from chipotle is a rarity now. So much so, I was never going to go again, but I decided to give it one last try at this location.... and wasn't surprised at all when I had to wait 10 minutes in the empty restaurant for my order to be taken, being heavily skimped out on my double chicken, or having my burrito loaded with an absurd amount of sour cream when I asked for a very small amount. It must be low pay that brings in poor servers or just horrible franchise owners or a horrible founder from the very beginning. Chipotle you are dead to me. read more

We cannot say enough about Jose and Blake as they hooked us up with a huge catering order right when they opened at 10:00. We were feeding 400 people and they accommodated our order no problem. Everyone there was extremely friendly and helpful. They helped pack our car with the many boxes that came with this order. We will not hesitate to use them again for any catering needs. read more

First of all I will never be visiting this restaurant again. I watched a couple team members argue with a customer after they completely got his order wrong and was 30 minutes past his time. Looking around there was nobody in the restaurant and nobody before I got there. Then the same team worker started yelling at a customer about their mask, And she wasn't even wearing her mask correctly. If you're going to require something you should follow your rules. This is the first time I have ever given the effort to write a review on yelp ... and it comes with good reason. Decided to come to this "restaurant" around 7:45pm (open until 10) to see nothing but bare trays. I ordered a burrito - the tortilla was falling apart when she picked it up. The rice had to be aggressively scraped off the bottom which had clearly been sitting there for hours, the same goes for the chicken, beans, salsas, and Guac (almost everything else). When I asked for cheese I could literally count the amount of individual strings of cheese and when I asked for more I got an unpleasant reaction implying my request was needy. By the end I even made a comment about the freshness only to be ignored while the worker decided that was a good time to go to the back and make me wait for 2 minutes to check out. After this mess I decided I had to try this disgrace she put together - it did not disappoint. The Lf/Lb area accounts for most of this establishments business and as a resident I will be making sure everyone I know avoids this place at all cost. read more

I am a frequent customer at this location and they rarely get a mobile order correct. Literally. I have to unpack the order and check everything in the store to prevent a return trip to pick up a missing item or have them replace a wrong order. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area (including Mexican) to deal with this. read more

Cons: I have to say that all the bad reviews are spot on, this location (Lake Bluff) is pretty bad. I ordered a steak burrito and the meat was way overcooked and very tough. The rest of the burrito was just plain cold and so was my friend's tacos and other burrito. To make matters worse, we were suppose to get 1 burrito and 2 orders of tacos, instead they gave us 2 burritos and 1 taco. Pros: On the other hand, rice, beans, salsa, etc. were pretty tasty and refreshing, which is why I gave this review 2 stars. It's a shame that they were all cold. This is a new location and it really seems that the staff is not fully trained to handle their responsibilities. Perhaps in a few months or so things can turn around for the better...or not. If you are in a mood for some Chipotle, I recommend that you use a different location. read more

I really see some mixed reviews. But, honestly what franchise is not going to see mixed reviews. I was in tonight with my fiancé and honestly they have the best staff on the north shore. HP, DF, NB all terrible locations. We went in the rice, meat, and add ons are always fresh and rarely do they run out and if they do they have a staff that is mixing in the back with some fresh food to come out. We left satisfied and we raved to the staff and even got a discount! This has to be the first time at any chipotle and we are regulars. I would much rather drive a little further to eat here! Wow. I just go to eat my burrito I was looking forward to all today and the chicken is actually black and has a weird squishy texture, felt like a bone. The rice was actually the hardest thing I've eaten in my life ... and OH! Boy does my guacamole taste good with chunks of avocado (pit was still in it and peel still on it). I went in to order a burrito yesterday... my go to at chipotle. I asked if they could melt the cheese before making my burrito like i always do. I perfer melted cheese. The staff melted the cheese and then made my order as directed. All was well so far... a typical chipotle experience, untill i got to the register. the girl who made my burrito told the cashier it was a caseorito... i said no this is not .. this is a regular burrito with melted cheese.. the girl who made my burrito said at this location that is a caseorito.. i said a caseortio has another wrap around it and the cheess melted in between. This is was not that. It was a regular burrito with melted cheese. At this point it was getting very awkward and embarrassing because there was a while line behind me watching this interaction. So i stated... you melted the cheese on my burrito, how much extra am i being charged to get my cheese melted. The girl said between 3 or 4$. I said 4 dollars to melt my cheese?? She said yes, thats how we do it at this location. (Because i had told her ive ordered this at many other chipotles with no issues) she said it was going to be charged as a casorito anyways. thats when i left without my food. Service at this chipotle lately has been very good in my experience. My only gripe is that the last time I went some of the steak I ordered for my burrito was very chewy and inedible and I had to spit it out. I contacted chipotle support and they gave me a free entree which is nice of them but I don't think I'll use it at this chipotle because the last two times I went the steak was unfortunately under or over cooked as was sometimes the rice. It's been hit or miss for me at this location there was one time it was really good but the last two times the steak wasn't worth paying 11 bucks for so I'm glad I at least got partially comped for it. I really want to give this chipotle the benefit of the doubt and I'm hoping next time will be better but I really just hope they can do better next time with making sure things are cooked more properly and for the correct amount of time for the price you're paying to eat here. read more

I go to school nearby, so I find myself here periodically. During my most recent visit I asked for guac on my burrito bowl, and the guy gave me the most weak ass scoop of guacamole I've ever seen. Guac is $2, so I asked if it might be possible to get a little more, and another employee happily fulfilled this request. I think the first guy may have been training, so I forgive him for this egregious guac transgression. Overall I've had positive experiences at this location. Will return. read more
