[the bad reviews are actually out of date now] A Bit of Perspective Ok I've been to probably a dozen Chipotle's in across CA, NV and now NH?? Wow, that is amazing in itself. And this one is now [in 2014] EXACTLY like the rest. In all, I've had probably 30-40 visits total between all of the ones I've been to. This one in Manchie kicks a$$. I've been to it twice since I've been visiting in town [both in 2014]. And both times, it was exactly what was expected, amazing. Having said all that, I read thru some of the bad reviews below and suggest that when any chain restaurant like this is just opened [and on the opposite side of the country from where home is] they're far away from "corporate" and more errors are made and not corrected very quickly. My personal opinion is that they got a really bad rap for a pretty rough start. What I experienced was nothing like what was written below... Seeing as most of those reviews are 1-2 years old now, new managers, new staff, they clearly have it all sorted out now and are running smoothly. 99.9% of the staff is great. I've only had one negative experience with a rude staff member, and maybe he was having a bad day. The food, though, has been increasingly an issue. I used to order barbacoa every time I went, at least once a week - until I bit into a giant hunk of mushy, slimy, unrendered fat / gristle several times. I nearly puked. So I switched to the chicken, which was also gristly pretty much every time (though nowhere near as nasty). Then I stopped going. I went back recently, and made the dumb decision to try the barbacoa again, this time in a bowl, so I could see before I took a bite. Big ol' hunk of white nastiness, although at least I saw it coming and could avoid it. So yeah, I'm pretty much done with this location. The location in Bedford is better, I think, but I don't get over there as much. read more

Was really disappointed today when I was trying to get myself lunch while I was at work. I work at a place where I am not able to leave the store when I am alone, and as a customer who prefers cash to credit or debit, I was surprised when it was not an option on the app or over phone ordering. Don't bother calling, you'll just talk to an unhelpful robot who will get your Order completely wrong. And if you do get to an actual associate .. they won't take your order over the phone. My grandmother was picking up the order and is unfamiliar with the process and that raises her anxiety. I find it really sad they they can not accommodate to the many types of customers they DO have. Let's be real. This place is awesome. It is my current lunch addiction. Fresh food, fresh environment, and friendly staff. Plus the food is amazing and priced perfectly. I can't get enough. All three items we're about half the size they normally are, and he didn't pay half price. 23 miles away. Was really looking forward to this treat. Very disappointed today. Ordered online and it said it would be ready at 6:15, didn't get our food until 6:40. Workers were distracted and work area was messy. They struggled filling out others orders as well. Guac was out. The food is good like any other but the restaurant is always filthy. No one ever cleans the dining tables. Even the glass case in front of the food is dirty and smudged. Seems like there's no pride of ownership and the place is operated by a bunch of unsupervised teenagers. read more

Manchester Yelpers have once again fallen prey to a trend...and Chipotle is certainly trendy; however, how is their food? That depends on to which Mexican restaurant you are comparing them to. If you are comparing them to Taco Bell, then, yes the food is good. If you are comparing them to El Rincon Zacatecano, the best and most authentic Mexican restaurant in the Manchester area, then, no the food is not so good. So, let's talk about the food. My main complaint here is that Chipotle steams their tortillas which is simply not authentic. This cooking method creates a gummy texture in the tortilla and it's just not pleasant. Second, the food is cooked too far in advance and sits in the steam tables becoming stale. I've been to this restaurant several times and during my last visit on a Sunday evening the service was an absolute hot mess. A dozen employees were milling about doing I don't know what because they didn't appear to be waiting on their customers. The server that prepared by tacos prepared them, slid them over towards the register and then didn't give a passing glance in my direction. If she had glanced in my direction she would have noticed that no one was at the register to take my money. I waited nearly seven minutes for someone to acknowledge me. The manager finally noticed me and apologized telling me that the cashier was in the restroom. Ahhhh, yeah, this is exactly what I want to hear from someone that is coming anywhere near my food. Let's talk about what's going on here. Chipotle's is a trendy chain doing trendy things such as being environmentally conscientious which is admirable; but, let's not forget service for service is key. For the same amount of money spent here you can drive over to the aforementioned El Rincon Zacatecano's, sit down and have an authentic meal prepared by real Mexican cooks in the kitchen. Chipotle's is good if you want a quick burrito or taco but don't get caught up in the hype. They are NOT that good. read more

Great food, but I feel I was shorted. I bought a burrito bowl and it felt much smaller than the other Chipotles that I've been to.

Takeout orders are done quick but unfortunately the bag of chips I ordered was ripped and all the chips were stale. Tacos were soggy and stuck to the bowl so they fell apart when I tried to eat them. read more

I eat here all the time and I really enjoy the food, so I often put my order in online ahead of time to avoid the long line. With that being said my food is never ready when I get there at the scheduled pick up time, the staff often don't start my order until I get there, I am extremely frustrated what is the point of ordering for pick up if I have to wait 15 minutes when I get there anyways? Today I put my order in at 4 for 5:30 pick up and as I write this at 5:45 my order is still not ready. This needs to be addressed by management. read more

First of all, let me say I'm a fan of Chipotle. I eat at the chain all over the country. My one star rating applies to this chain only, and for one reason only (ok maybe two). Reason: They gave me the smallest portion sizes I've ever seen at a Chipotle by a large margin! The whole point of this chain is that you leave full, and in exchange you pay a little more than competing places. The ambiance is friendly, clean, and smells delicious! The long line moved fast, 20 guests and I got my food in 6 minutes. I enjoyed a bowl with brown rice, fajitas, chicken, queso, medium salsa, guac, and lettuce. The flavors were delicous together and the perfect amount of food. While dining in, an employee came out and asked how my food tasted and when I was done, they came back and removed my empty bowl. They have a new promotion where you provide feedback via a survey and you get entered to win free burritos for a year! The cashier and the employee who came out reminded me to provide my feedback. Everyone is always very polite to me here and fast. One time I had to wait less than 5 minutes no big deal I didn't mind. When they called me up to finish my burrito and pay the cashier said you're all set. I was confused and said but I didn't pay. She said I know you had to wait a few minutes so we're giving you you're burrito for free. I was very happy about this of course and thanked them. After living in both California and Arizona, I fell in love with Chipotle. I have been eating at this location on south willow street since it opened. They all taste the same to me and I highly recommend this restaurant. Get the burrito bowl and eat it with a fork instead of as a burrito. You can always ask for a tortilla on the side and make your own little burritos! Their chicken is my favorite. To those complaining about portion size, when I went there today my bowl was huge and the employee could barely fit the cover on it. Sometimes the portions are a little smaller than normal, but how many calories does one really need in one sitting. And you can always ask for extra rice, cheese, lettuce, etc... read more

I used to love Chipotle a lot. Like eating it three days a week a lot. But lately I have very disappointed. The last time I had chipotle, two or so weeks ago, I decided to switch up my order and add some new things. This left me very sick. I thought that maybe I was sick because of the new things I added since I normally never eat them. Tonight, I decided to eat Chipotle again, assuming I would be fine ordering my "usual". Nothing new, just the same thing I was eating three days a week in the past. Now I'm sick again, I feel the same way as two weeks ago. I eat all of the items in my "usual" burrito bowl on a weekly basis. What's so different that the last two times have made me pretty sick? Will not be returning to Chipotle (or at least this particular one) for long time. read more

I used to love chipotle. It is the only fast food I would eat because of the flavor and it is a somewhat healthier choice than other places. But now the inconsistency of what I get is terrible. I used to get a steak burrito but the steak quality has become so poor I have to chew the fatty chunks for minutes or spit it out. So I switched to chicken. This went well til today I got a double chicken burrito and the chicken was burnt. Really burnt. It was so unsatisfactory that I didn't finish. Normally a fan of Chipotle, but recently I have been underwhelmed by my last few visits to the South Willow location. Each spoonful (I am speaking figuratively here as each portion never reached half a scoop) was lifted as if it were Thor's hammer only to spill a meager amount of my requested item. If this were something limited to one employee, fine (not really, but fine) however, I've had this happen with three different employees now, so I think this may be coming from the management at the S. Willow location. If my review means anything at all, I'd hope for at least a response. read more

Today I went in not wearing a mask as the person who was walking out when I walked in wasn't. I was greeted by an employee requesting I put one as they are required although her mask did not even cover her nose. When I got up to the counter to order I noticed all of the employees were wearing masks incorrectly only covering their mouths not their noses which defeats the purpose. I also noticed an employee I assume was on break walk out to get a drink wearing No mask. I was waiting at the register to pay when the same employee who told me I needed to put on a mask walked by my friend and almost ran into her without saying a word. At this point, I was extremely annoyed. As I was filling my drink the lid was defective so I went back to the front to ask for a new one. While waiting, the same employee walked past me brushing my arm and would have walked right into me if I didn't move out of the way. Again, no excuse me, not a word. I will never be returning to this location and will gladly drive the extra miles to visit a different location. Very unprofessional to say the least. read more

Went in tonight during rush hour. They were out of Steak and corn. Barely had chicken and carnitas. There were 7 people working and no one was cooking. Some were just standing there talking The line was to the door. As the guy was making my bowl another employee came in and was reaching over him to get stuff to make a to go order. This kind of stuff has happend the last couple of times I've gone in. The tables are always dirty. It seems like behind the counter no one really knows whats going on. They are always running out of meat or rice when there is a huge line waiting. One time we saw one of the employees take a dirty broom over the grill to take a vent cover off because they couldn't reach it. Won't be going back. read more

I was excited to see Chipotle move into the area. But this one fell flat the portions are smaller than others I've been to. Then I can get into the food itself the rice is really dry , the meat doesn't seem seasoned right. the wait seems a little long for a burrito place. every time I've been there it's been about 20 min waiting in line. I'm not a fan of the bench cafateria style seating. There are other more traditional mexican places that I like better read more

Good food and good price but most definitely the sloppiest burrito I have ever had. Barely fits in the little tinfoil they give you, when you start to unwrap you will notice that the insides are already busting out and the wrap is starting to get soggy quick. after 2 bites, the rice starts falling out in clumps and then the beans and then the meat. Unless your eating your burrito in a bowl with a fork (now need for knife as the wrap is useless by this point), you will end up wearing quite a bit of it. You better perfect your Philadelphia lean before eating here. read more

Whatever staffing and portion size issues may have been operative in the first couple of months have clearly been addressed. Went there for lunch with my wife and son. My burrito stuffing was so copious that it split the first tortilla and they had to wrap it in another one. The employees were polite, eager, and efficient. The manager was observant and came by our table to ask how we liked our meals. The place was immaculately clean, in front, behind the counter, and in the bathroom.
