I would like to say I have been coming to this store for quite some time and the experience here has been quite interesting. Most of the workers look likethey dont want to help and pretend to be cleaning to no one available to even greet you while waiting to be served. Well I would love to put out there whoever the cashier was in the night time that guy was taking care of business. He greeted me told me someone would be right with me. Saw his fellow server struggle with the burrito and when needing fajitas which the young girl called out for and no one replied he even jumped on the grill to take care of it with such ease. I asked if he was the manager and he told me no. And the best part of seeing him in action was he is always consistently smiling whenever I make a visit. The other insane part about this young man he remembers all your needs size of drink I love that!!!!!! Please dont let him leave because its so refreshing to see someone in this store with an awesome smile and cares for his customers. read more

This location skimps on the food like crazy. I requested extra veggies and there were hardly any in my bowl. The guacamole wasn't even guac, but an unripe piece of avocado. Consistently terrible. Our kids love the Chipotle menu, but after years of terrible service, I am simply over it. Why only take quesadilla orders online?? We stopped for dinner and 1 member of our party wanted a quesadilla - but we had to step out of line to order it on the app, while everyone else went through the line. BUT WAIT - they were out of white rice.....a 15 minute wait for that. Ok, I'll grab some chips and queso while we wait. He put the queso into a container, only to notify me that THEY ARE OUT OF CHIPS! If this were out of the ordinary, I'd be more patient, but sadly, it seems to be the norm. read more

This is the absolute worst Chipotle that I have ever experienced. The service is very, very poor. I often do not get exactly what I order when I order online. They are often out of certain items like chips or rice. They tell you that you can't get a quesadilla if you come in the store but can if you order online - this makes scant sense. Was stoked to grab a salad since this location was on the way to where I was going, but when my husband came out with our salads there was no salad dressing. He mentioned that the clerk didn't tell him this until he was at the register, so he just completed his order and left without it. But personally, I don't enjoy eating dry foliage in a cardboard bowl on a Saturday, so I went back inside and asked if I could wait for them to make some, or replace it with a different sauce. Nobody can properly roll a burrito, the portion sizes are inconsistent, the line takes forever. There is one girl there that I can't understand at all and I don't think she can understand me because she always gets it wrong even when I'm pointing. A couple of guys sometimes in the assembly line move so slow that I swear they are stoned. The manager (I think) that works the cash register is polite with his words but his demeanor is off-putting. Like he makes me nervous. They are usually out of ice, one type or more of soda, lemons or napkins (not all at once). It's a shame because this location is great. I will continue to come here because of the location but I hope the owners see these bad reviews and make some changes! read more

Would give it 0 stars if possible. Never ordering from this location again. It's absolutely nasty. I stoped for lunch today because I had no other option, figured they couldn't mess up guac but when I went to eat it the chips were extremely stale and the guac has these brown stringy pieces. I have never seen something like this. I've never written a review for a Chipotle but I'm perplexed by how inconsistent this location is in comparison to others. The portions are completely inconsistent, the steak was super chewy and tough to eat and the cashier was clueless and forgetful. No offense but if you can't handle ringing up people and forgetting to give them beverages or chips and salsa - uh...I just don't get it. I also noticed a half done online order just sitting in the middle of the salsa section. I think this is the first negative review I have ever posted anywhere. I have resisted because I do like Chipotle food and the fact that it can accommodate our whole family (which includes a vegan, vegetarians and meat eaters). That said, the McLean, VA Chipotle CANNOT get an order right. It's almost as if they try to mess up. And the mess-ups aren't small. They will give us four meals instead of five or fill the burito marked VEGAN with sour cream. At one point, they messed up on FIVE delivery orders in a row. Each time, I was so frustrated that I thought I wouldn't order again, but a month or so later, I would. I really want to like them. Worst location. If I could give negative stars I would. Giving one is generous. This location is always short staffed and they never get online orders right. The ingredients don't look fresh. My order was supposed to be ready at 6:45pm and one hour later my husband is still waiting. I placed this order in the afternoon so they should have been able to plan for it. There is another Chipotle close by in Falls Church that I recommend going to instead. The employees there seem happy to help and give you appropriate serving sizes. This location at McLean charges me a different amount every time I get food there. I always get the same order, a bowl with steak. I was charged almost $15 for my order this past time, again it is just a bowl with steak as the meat option, nothing special added. When my order was being prepared I noticed they only put on 8 pieces of steak. I asked the employee to add more since that is not the amount that other chipotles add. When at the register I asked the cashier why I was being charged well over their advertised price of a steak bowl he asked if I would like to restart my order. I told the cashier no thank you since I saw what they do with a previous customers food that requested that, they throw it in the trash. Why throw it in the trash when there are food shortages?? read more

I have never written a review for yelp, but after yet another trip to the Chipotle at 6707 Old Dominion Drive in McLean tonight, I finally joined just to leave this review and tell readers don't bother going there because if it's after three o'clock in the afternoon, they won't have basic ingredients. If they run out of carnitas at 6 p.m., they won't make more because hey, they close in three or four hours. I went there tonight at 8 pm to order a burrito and they had NO TORTILLAS. They had no interest in asking me if I wanted something else. They obviously wanted me to gtfo as soon as possible. This particular location has run out of lettuce, out of cheese and out of carnitas more times than I can count. If you order online, it's dubious it will be ready when you get there. Plan to wait twenty-minutes for your order which was supposed to be ready to go. This has happened so many times, I don't know why I was stupid enough to go there tonight. Usually, we drive all the way to Merrifield because this Chipotle and the one in Falls Church on West Broad Street habitually run out of food and start preparing to close two or three hours earlier than the posted closing time. The one on Strawberry Lane in Merrifield is much better. Go there instead. Too bad this is my closest Chipotle. I guess when I have forgotten in three or four years, I'll go there and leave empty-handed again. My husband had complained to their corporate offices multiple times and nothing changes. read more

This Chipotle location has the most rude, lazy, and overall incompetent employees I have ever encountered at any Chipotle location. Every time I have ever walked in there (even if it's empty) the employees visibly express frustration at the simple idea of actually doing their job. Every part of the ordering process is done begrudgingly. The teens employed here are not good, hardworking kids, they're punks that clearly hate their jobs. Don't dare change your mind on what you wanted, or add to your order as you're going down the line, they HATE extra effort! Each time I've requested a tortilla on the side, they've purposely sorted through the stack of tortillas for ones with holes in it, or left it being heated way too long to the point it's hard and breaks easily. Upon expressing I do NOT want a tortilla that's hard as a rock (or harder than what they clearly perceive being a competent employee is), they openly appear frustrated. Why would you even remotely think a customer WOULD want an overheated tortilla or one with giant holes in it? They'll rush you through the entire process, and if you clearly ask for a "little" bit of something, they'll dump a massive amount of what you wanted instead. Asked for a little bit of corn, got a LOT. Asked for a bunch of cheese, I get a pinch. I had no intention of writing this review until I expressed my frustration at work (in the local area) and got multiple coworkers chiming in with their own personal negative experiences and feelings about the employees at this location. Just look at the other ratings, this is not a me-specific issue, the seemingly entire McLean population hates coming here. What are you (management) doing about this? It's not shocking to see teenagers hating their jobs, hell I did too at my first job. But in todays grim job market during a pandemic, I can't understand why you choose to employ such terrible workers when there are quality, hardworking American's in need of jobs right now, which would solve your biggest problem. I came in here tonight with high expectations and a slot of hunger. Upon first walking in I have to say that I was disappointed with the complete lack of service that I received. I stood there for literally 4 minutes, just waiting to place my order, while no less than 4 employees left me standing there, while they were giggling together and pretending to clean. It was a complete joke. They treated the customer standing behind me the same way. Just look at the photo I uploaded! When someone finally did find the time to take my order the first statement out if his mouth was 'white or brown'' meaning white or brown rice. The steak bowl was then slipped together without any care at all. Then a different employee took over to finish making the bowl and he was so the thoughtless, he didn't even bother to check which type of meat was added by the last employee. Nobody bothered to make the order as it was sitting on the counter. As we were eating, the employees were on their phones and playing loud music from their personal speakers, disrupting the music coming from the restaurant speakers. Took my family to this spot today for its outdoor seating. When we arrived and parked, we saw an employee tapping away on her phone in the outside dining area (which isn't a problem, of course, just noticed she was there while parking in front). Anyways, we went inside and ordered. The lady that took the the orders and did the serving was rushing the "short" line of two people behind me. After slopping our orders in bowls (I usually don't ask for more, but the amount being served wasn't as much as we are used to getting in other locations (she even broke the tortilla from the burrito my daughter ordered and wrapped another one to cover it). Anyways, she kept calling out "next" to get the rest of the orders of the folks in line, despite the physical distancing markers on the ground that attempt to keep people 6 feet apart... even the guy following me hesitated to come close to me and my family. But she kept saying "next" insistently, so the guy stepped up gave her his order..."Next!" She calls out to get the last guy. Like I get it, you want to give fast service. When it came time to pay, I was kinda sketchy about the amount I had paid, despite my daughter ordering a burrito this time, so checked the receipt. Well, you know what, the guy that was behind me was so close to us that they ended up adding his order to ours, because the cashier actually thought that he was with us! Sure enough, I was overcharged with that guy's order! I had them remove his order and refund me. Not even an apology, but rather told me matter-of-factly that it was removed, and had to swipe again for the correct charge. Well, I took a look at the guy next to me. He looked asian like us, so I guess they assumed he was with us-especially with his close proximity. (Sigh) Well, I took my family out to relax, eat out, and to enjoy, not to watch Dad get into an argument with someone. Besides I was exhausted from work. So, I just thanked them and moved on. We got our drinks filled and proceeded to dine outside. Although the dining area was small, it didn't bother me. What got to me was how all the tables were unclean (unwiped). I had a sense that these were not disinfected! The employee that we saw earlier outside was now sitting down at the last table still playing on her phone. What little dining area they had was littered with trash such as face-masks, Chipotle paper bags, napkins, a McDonalds cup on the other table (got photos). The employee didn't seem to be bothered by all the litter. Well we keep Clorox wipes in the car, and had our daughter grab them, then we wiped down our own table. Yes, I know I could have nicely asked the employee to do it, but isn't it an expectation that a food-serving establishment would maintain cleanliness especially in this time of COVID? I'm pretty sure she saw what we were doing wiping down the table and chairs we were going to use, but did not bother to take action. So I started snapping photos. It's a nice to find a quaint place to eat outside from tine to time; to have a break in this time of covid. I hope they do a better job next time. We probably won't be coming back to this location even though it's only 4 miles away from where we live. I'd rather go up to Kensington, albeit the distance from Bethesda. I am normally not one to ever write reviews but I have been to a million Chipotles and this is by far the worst. I asked for chicken and the employee put in half a scoop with the leftover scraps of chicken in the container. So I then had to ask for double chicken and pay for double when 1 scoop is normally plenty for me. Then I go on to toppings.. corn... they said they are "out of corn"... at 5:00?? Then they also said they were "out of water cups"?? This Chipotle is awful and have 0 customer service. read more

This is the worst chipotle on earth! The first time I came a couple months ago the food was ok but the service was atrocious. No hello no smile kind of a "what do you want" question. I complained to corporate who just sent me a free burrito coupon. On November 7 I went again and the service was even worst. Just a bunch of rude teens working here. However the cashier was awful. She yawned at customers. And thought it's ok to slide your bag of food to you on the counter. After reading some of the other reviews I can see that this behavior is consistent. I emailed corporate again and told them "don't send me any freebies I don't want any. Excruciatingly slow, consistently mess up orders, and even the food, which really should be pretty much the same at any location, is always overcooked and too salty.
