We came to this location because I'm vegetarian and it's one of the few locations that assists vegetarians in the area. We arrived approximately 20:00 (8pm) and they were closed despite saying they were open until 22:00 (10pm). So disappointing, we went to two additional locations and left with no vegetarian options. Now let me make this clear: I am a chipotle-holic. Even with this average rating I still eat here probably five times a week. However, this is by far the lowest tier chipotle I have EVER been to. Portions are skimpy (I have to order double rice and always ask for a little more pico) and the ingredients taste and feel like they're left out a little too long (dry hard rice and brown guacamole). I never tried Chipotle before and finally got my wife to agree to go with me. Her parents are from El Salvatore and she prefers authentic Latino cuisine but I got her to agree to try "gringo-Mexican". Usually we go to hole-in-the-wall joints that are awesome. I got the barbacoa burrito with guacamole. I was really disappointed. The ingredients were fresh but all the spice in Latino cuisine was missing. It was like eating a croissant made without butter, fluffy but tasteless. Barbacoa is supposed to be savory, this was meh, edible... or so I thought... The worst part was, a few hours later I ended up vomiting and coming down with chills. Considering I have been used to military chow for years, I thought I had an iron stomach... It's a Chipotle so I never have great expectations because its fast food and I'm a you get what you pay for kind of person. My go-to is crunchy steak tacos but lately the last few trips the steak has been dried up and left to die on the line. No one on staff has yet to take initiative to tell me if I waited a few minutes a new batch was coming up. The management and staff should try harder and take pride in what they serve. Visited this establishment after working out just to get in some protein and from the looks of it, the restaurant seemed pretty clean compared to previous reviews. The staff was friendly and greeted us upon arrival HOWEVER the food portions were mediocre. I have been to lots of Chipotle locations that give out less portions but this place tops it all. The meat as well as the sides were given in rationed portions. One scoop wasn't even a scoop! The flavor wasn't too bad though. In addition, there was only 1 employee who was assembling the orders while the other workers were standing at the cash register just staring at him or the customers. They need to at least have 2 employees take orders to create a more efficient work flow. And just like the other reviews have mentioned, the chips are very stale. The worst Chipotle I have EVER been to. Dirty, nasty, disorganized. Not one clean table was available when I went to sit down. Food was all over the floor and the bench seats appeared as if a burrito barfed on it. Empty plates and baskets were piled up as there were no trash cans. That's right, no trash cans to throw away the cold burrito I tried (and failed) to eat. To ensure a completely crappy dining experience, they served me stale chips and beer that tasted like it was brewed when Nixon was President. I ordered delivery through the chipotle app. When I opened my food in my room, i, along with my roommate discovered there were no forks and napkins - no big deal. We decipher who's bowl is who's and get to eating. I was given the wrong meat, and both of us looks like we got half of a portion Our rice was so raw it reminded us of our dining hall which is actually what we were trying to avoid There was no guac on mine And the biggest thing for me, they didn't give me two sides of tortillas. I have type one diabetes and had already given myself my insulin, taking into account these tortillas, before I got my food. I called the store and the woman on the line rudely told me to contact Door Dash, even though I placed the order through the Chipotle website. Door dash told me that Chipotle was the one that processed, so they will need to fix the error. I called the store a second time, spoke to the same girl and she once again told me to call Door Dash. I usually always have a good experience but this is the second time the Middletown location has messed up my online order. The first time, they forgot to add chicken and today they did NOT put the new queso blanco on (which I paid extra for). Really not sure how one forgets to add the melted cheese but I guess no body's perfect.
