I have gone here a few more times since my last review, because it's convenient, quick, and I can order in the app. I do appreciate their prompt response to my previous review, and upon contacting them, I was offered a free meal. My replacement meal had a less ridiculous portion size. Still not what I would have expected for the price had I paid for it, but better than the one I complained about. Subsequent orders have varied from lame to acceptable. Flavor wise, it's OK - it's never amazing, or even great, but it's usually at least good. Honestly, I usually pick McDonalds over Chipotle when I want a convenient lunch I can order in an app, or, if a burrito is what I want, I pay a bit more and go just up the street to Villa Corona, but then I actually get a delicious, filling meal. read more

SCAMMED me out of a side of guac. I placed an order through the app and used one of my rewards for a free side of guac. When I picked up my order, the guac was nowhere to be found. I let the cashier know that I had redeemed a reward for the free side, and she responded with something along the lines of, "Oh, you'll have to order and pay for a new burrito if you want the free side." For a company with roughly $12 billion in annual revenue, you'd think they could honor a reward for a $2.95 side of guacamole. Local, and i'm done with The trancas location. Never going back. My wife picked up dinner 6/30/25 thru the app. My burrito was a disaster. Super small portions, small sized and stone cold. Almost no chicken. Her quesadilla was also small. We just visited the soscol location last week and got way better portions and food. Tried calling the store but it's an endless AI loop that doesn't let you talk to anyone. Same story on the chipotle website. All you can do is file a complaint that goes into fairy dust somewhere. This is hands down one of the worst Chipotle locations I've ever been to. The portions are laughably small and absolutely not what you're paying for. Spending $15+ for a bowl that looks like it was rationed during a food shortage is insane. This isn't an isolated incident -- it happens every single time. I've addressed it with employees on multiple occasions and the response is complete indifference. No correction. No explanation. No accountability. Whoever manages this location is either incompetent or actively encouraging customers to be shorted. This feels less like a restaurant and more like a scam dressed up as fast casual dining. Have been to other locations. This one off Trancas is awful! Employees leave the prepared food trays sitting empty or virtually empty. The food served is tepid. Many don't understand their own menu. But the kicker was the Total LACK of cleaning and cleanliness in the restaurant. Serving line prep counter areas not wiped down regularly (with leftover food remnants) and the eat in areas they appear to infrequently wipe down. Even the entry doors are aged with fingerprints! Food is usually good, but service is the WORST. Ordered from DoorDash (because I HATE going in there so much) and my daughter's cheese quesadilla came without cheese in it. Seriously! When you go in to the store, there is one person to wait on the people in the shop while 5 people make mobile orders and ignore you, no matter how long the in person line gets. One time they didn't have enough mobile orders, but chose to stand around rather than help with the in store customers! While the chipotle chain itself is pretty good, this location and its employees/service is terrible. First the employees couldn't care less about their job and the building is gross. Food everywhere on the tables and chairs, their prep stations look like they've been bombed, and their restrooms were last cleaned when the building opened for the first time. Now the food. I know they've had some controversy over their portion sizes but this location takes the cake for it. The serving sizes are for ants. My napkin was bigger than my food. But wait! There's more! Their burritos might as well come in bowls as they're pretty much soup with how watery they are. To make it worse... oh yeah worse! You look at the burrito the wrong way and it comes apart. No integrity to that burrito. This location has been the worst chipotle experience I've ever known. If it shut down It might even bring world peace into reality. read more

IF I COULD LEAVE NEGATIVE STARS I WOULD. what a shame this is a corporate franchise and they have done such a terrible job at representing the company at this location. On November 9th, We came to Napa for VACATION & after 8 hours of traveling we were looking for a familiar restaurant to dine. Yes we came before closing, but when we entered the restaurant we were greeted with HOSTILITY AND EYE ROLLING; as we were cutting it close to their closing time. Everything began when we were served our lousy portions of food. (SEE PICTURE FOR REFERENCE) Do employees take left over food home after a Night Shift that they were being so STINGY? We've eaten at so many other Chipotle's, that this experience was absolutely terrible. We did not want to eat in our hotel, therefore we decided to enjoy our meal at the restaurant. My husband was in the RESTROOM when on TWO separate occasions they came over to tell me they were closed and we had to leave? While explaining to my husband who had just gotten back that we had been told we had to leave, for a THIRD TIME they poked their head out from the kitchen and said " WE ARE CLOSED YOU MUST LEAVE " all within 5 minutes... THREE TIMES. TOLD TO LEAVE 3 TIMES. WE ARE NOT AT FAULT IN THIS SITUATION. I've worked in restaurants before..... Clean around us? We took up one table, you sweeping underneath it couldn't wait until we at least finished? Absolutely awful I mean, sometimes you just need some "healthy" Americanized food that is fresh and delicious. Well neither of these applied to tonight's dinner. My husband who is super easy going and eats almost everything was also having a WTF MOMENT. The service was awful and the order was wrong when he brought it home, the tortilla fell apart and was burnt. The food was not fresh and I had ordered chicken because I am pregnant and cannot consume uncooked steak... we open my bowl and it was steak. My husband also noticed that the food was PICKED OVER AND NOT FRESH. They were out of a lot of their ingredients which for a dinner rush at 6:30 PM is unheard of and uncalled for... like who is managing this place? When my husband was placing the order, the teenager who was working the counter was confused and didn't get the order.. he also asked my husband countless times about the order... and the staff was prioritizing the online orders VS the in house orders.... What kind of management would do that?? There is a standard procedure to get the online orders in and ready to go but NOT over people trying to order standing in front of you. Very unappealing, person in front of me made a comment on it, People had to wait for meat to be brought out because they don't refill the food items in timely manner. 2 different people in front of me wanted a meat item, twice the employee walked to the back to ask if they had any more. One customer got tired of waiting any longer for her meat choice so she asked for chicken instead. This was at 4:30pm. Seems they would be prepared for the dinner rush to begin. When the employee brought out fresh meat, instead of replacing the new container & removing the old, he just heaped the fresh meat on top of the old meat. Therefore someone will eventually get that old meat & it won't be fresh. What's the health code for how long meat can be out before it needs to be removed? Do they do this all day from 10:45am - 10pm? That's probably why my Sofritas tasted cold & old, the pan was almost empty so based on how they refill I got some old Sofritas. There were only 4 people ahead of me (each ordered 1 item) but because they move so slow the wait in line was annoying people. 2 people in front of me got "a look of irritation" when one asked for more lettuce & cheese, the other when she asked for sour cream & salsa on the side vs in bowl. Clearly not customer friendly. Now the person filling the online orders: he wore gloves but he touched & patted the food down with his hands when making burritos & bowls. Then he would go to the computer, touch the screens to process items & open cupboards, bag & mark the bags with the same gloved hand. Then goes back to prep more orders & touches more food with same gloved hand to pat food down so it fits in tortilla or bowl. Yuck. Go the other Chipotle for fast service, fresh food & it's clean. The crew at this restaurant works so hard. They are constantly always busy and very patient and friendly with all the guests. Tonight they had a minor problem with their POS system, and the manager was quick to fix it, but comped my meal as a result of mine having to wait, only a couple of extra minutes. I use to work at a Chipotle back in my 20's and I always remember Chipotle putting a lot of emphasis in making sure everything was cooked and made to perfection. I came in September 18th 2024 around 5pm, what ever prep cooks and Chefs who were working that shift are do an amazing Job. I truly enjoyed every bite of my burrito and tasted every rich flavor involved, and every bit of love put into it. Thank you for bringing back good memories for me and how great chipotle is. I have not been to Chipotle in YEARS, but decided to order a bowl online for pick up for dinner last night. First, I want to comment on the fact that online you have the option of mentioning a specific diet you are following, such as Keto or Gluten free diet. The items that you can not have will automatically be "crossed off" the option list. Brilliant! Love that feature, as I am not doing any dairy. Second, that was a BIG bowl! Like, I ate on that for dinner and then lunch the next day!! And for only 15$!!! And that included a tip! I could not believe it. These days eating out is SO expensive, especially if you want to eat something that is healthy and of quality. I was happy with the price and portion size. I tried the Al Pastor chicken as my meat because it looks BOOOOOOMB on the commercials.... And it truly was. When I walked in, the grill was filled with fresh chicken being cooked. I saw some reviews mention that the restaurant didn't have meat ready or something. This is the thing folks need to remember. While this is "fast food" it actually is food of quality and food of quality always takes a little longer than flash fried and microwaved frozen fast food. The fact that some folks are complaining because they had to wait for the meat to finish cooking makes me think they don't understand the effort and time it takes to cook fresh marinated meats. I would suggest going to Jack in the Box if you need a fast meal. My only "complaint" is that I opted for the "normal" amount of meat, and there was barely any meat in my bowl. Maybe ten chunks at most. However, the meat WAS good. I will be back to try again. read more
