I'll start by saying, I really love chipotle, just not this location in newberg. Every time I have come in they are either out of a key ingredient like cheese or fajita veggies, or out takes forever and the employees move like sloths. Oh and I purchased a soda with my order only to find out they are "out of carbonation" so my choice was lemonade or water. I was an employee at this store. That was about five months ago. I left to become a police officer for Tigard. In the time since I left this chipotle, the stories I've heard from my friends still working here, have been shocking. The General manager was fired for numerous complaints regarding abusive treatment and inappropriate comments made towards employees. They recently hired a new general manager named Ashton. This person has fired nearly every single member of staff to make way for his previous employees from the Mcminville Chipotle and Newberg Taco Bell. The employees he's laid off at this Chipotle were some of the kindest and most hard working people I've ever met. If you're a regular at this location who's satisfied with the quality, get ready for a dramatic shift. To anyone who is dissatisfied, expect more of that. If not worse. I know newberg is a small town with limited food options. However, Newberg is also a very close knit community. I understand if you're not willing to cross this chipotle off of your list of possible late night DoorDash's. But I will say that I personally will not be supporting a store with such disgusting business practices. read more

We were in a hurry and the staff was doing NOTHING when we went in. One girl was literally just standing at the counter. I slipped on something wet on the floor inside this Chipotle yesterday. I hurt my wrist badly enough that blood was literally dripping down my entire arm. The employees saw me fall and not one of them expressed any concern at all. I asked for a first aid kit and was told that they didn't have one. When I said I knew they must have one, the employee Mariah handed me a single small band-aid. I asked for something to stop the blood running down my arm and she handed me a single paper towel and then told me I "should have wiped my feet" when I came in. I asked for her manager and a young woman named Aubrey came out and was completely unsympathetic. I said they should put down a "wet floor" sign and she said that wasn't my concern. I asked again for a first aid kit and she also said there wasn't one, all she could give me was a second band-aid. I had to go to Walgreens to buy a bandage for my wrist. I left a puddle of blood on the floor and counter and it was not cleaned up by the employees. They clearly don't care about anything! read more

Since this Chipotle location went up they have had consistent issues with their order terminal and have had to close the doors on people a few times. Yesterday after working 11 hours straight painting, we ordered Chiptole via smartphone on our hour drive back home, to be picked up via Chipotolane. We were exhausted, had 4 cats waiting on dinner, and wanted to get home ASAP. Order 7B2-GA7 pickup at 6:40. Upon arriving there was a massive queue of cars into the parking lot. We attempted to go in to pick-up instead of waiting in Chipotolane only to meet a locked door with a note that they had computer issues and could only take online orders. After waiting for some time I finally get out of our car to go knock on the door to find out what was going on as the line was NOT moving. A woman waiting outside with a kid on her hip tells me they aren't answering the door. I knock hard on the glass. The manager is yelling at me from afar as if I can hear that. I am yelling back and put my phone confirmation up to the window. She comes over and is hollering through the window. I finally yell back that I can't hear her. Finally she opens the door and I ask her what is going on and she is immediately defensive, instead of apologetic or understanding that we are paid customers waiting -forever-, and says they only just got the chicken and are getting it ready. I say - I didn't order chicken...and ask Why don't you have someone out here telling people what is going on? She says she doesn't have anyone to send out. She says they are filling the online orders. I leave and get back in the car, frustrated. We decide to wait as we already paid and hope this chicken situation is quickly resolved and we are famished. Once you are locked in Chipotolane, you cannot get out. We also surmised while waiting, that likely, our food was probably ready and sitting on the shelf since we did not have chicken. FIFTY-FIVE MINUTES LATER, we get to the window, we see the girl packing up an order. We give her our name, she goes to the waiting shelf and pulls off an order - ours. We ask how long it has been sitting here...yep, since pick-up at 6:40, almost an hour. If the Manager had only asked my name, she could have checked to see if my order was already ready since I did NOT order chicken. I ordered the plant based meat alternative Sofritas. The girl shows the manager my order ticket, the manager shrugs and says fine we can make it again. They do, it's nice and hot, we leave. No apologies for the delay, no thanks for waiting, and not even an intention in the first place to make sure they are serving freshly made food. Food sitting for an hour is just fine. Get home, cats fed, sit down to rest and eat, still in our painting clothes. Take a bite and I know instantly..this is chicken. Not Sofritas. We unwrap our halved burrito and pull out a whole lot of chicken, we re-wrap them with not much left and that was dinner. I put the chicken out for our local trash panda but even he didn't want it. So to recap: * Locked customers out instead of having an attendant to answer questions at the door * 55 minute wait for food * No communication to queued customers who couldn't get out of line once in it * No apologies or thanks for waiting at pick-up window * Wanted to pass off food that had sat 5 minutes short of an hour * Put chicken in the newly made vegan burrito order I get it was probably a S* Show for them and appreciate why the Manager was stressed out but we are paying customer and have our own thing going on. I heard a women tell her after I walked away she had a sick kid and is trying to get back home. This is your job as a Manager of a food business to serve customers whether they are angry or not. Some people are good at it, some people aren't. You have to understand where they are coming from and appreciate they aren't receiving what you set out to give them and when you don't communicate it makes it worse. We will not be going back at this point. Bad experience. Don't need those when you are tired and hungry, trying to get home. read more

7:33 PM, June 3, 2025 Newberg, Oregon, Chipotle Store We stopped by after being at the Sherwood YMCA because it is just a short drive. When we entered there were two employees in the store. No one else was in the store. At least that's all I saw. The line was a mess, I thought, "they must have been slammed". We waited a few minutes. I looked to see if they had any "pico-de-gallo" because the last time we were in this store they were out on the line and said they didn't have any in the reach-in. The didn't have any carnitas either that day. I walked around to see if they had any in the take out prep area. The fellow working there said they don't serve it to walk-ins, it was there for pre-paid food customers only. I said, "So as a customer here in the store I don't get treated like a full customer? He said, "NO!" I said I guess I can call and order by phone. He said "Yeah, see if you can do that!" The inference was that he wouldn't make it for me. My wife nudged me a said "Let's go." SO we started to leave and I mentioned that it was probably the last time we would be in that store. He said, "I don't care." I got the impression that customers weren't wanted or needed there. I decided to make this post because I kept thinking maybe if I had said something earlier when the line was short food items that the prep-people would have prepared more for each days needs. We left and went to the Sherwood Chipotle Store. What a difference. Welcoming employees and a clean store and a full store of customers. It took us 15 minutes to get food but it was worth the wait. If you live in the area go to the Sherwood Store it is a much nicer experience. read more

THE worst. People here are totally unfriendly and the food usually looks old and dry. The tables and floors are often dirty. A few months ago we went in and one of our items was a Kid's quesidilla meal. We chose the chips to which they told us they were all out. There was a HUGE stainless steel bin of chips, piled high, behind them on the table with a lady cooking even more. I said to the girl there is a huge bin of chips behind you so what do you mean? She told us those were for the online orders only so they don't run out. Mind you, they were not busy and they did not have a huge number of online orders, not at all. I told her the other lady was making even more as we spoke and the kid's chip bag is tiny anyway, usually only about 7 chips, and she still said no sorry, those are for online orders! I should have just told them to forget my order and then ordered it online while sitting there in the store so I can get the chips I paid for! Several other people had come in and they too wanted chips and they told them the same thing- chips are for online orders only EVERYONE was saying um there is huge bin back there why can't we have some?? So one worker picked up the bin and hid it so they didn't have to keep answering questions. Unbelievable!! That was a few months ago and I was told they fired the manager, so we thought we'd try it again (it is the closest one to us, that is why we keep trying it...). Well, we walked in today, we were the only ones in there and there were about 6 people working. Not a single person said a word to us (no hi, no greeting, no hey we will be right with you) and we stood there waiting to order while every single worker occasionally glanced at us but continued going about doing whatever they were doing. 5 minutes go by and NOTHING. No help, no acknowledgement, nothing. Even if they told us hey guys we will be with you in a minute just finishing up here, we'd have NO problem waiting but to ignore us altogether...that is just a lack of common courtesy. So, we left and drove to the one in Sherwood and will never be back there now. It appears despite a manager change, they haven't changed their terrible attitudes. We will drive the extra mileage to go to the Sherwood one or one in Hillsboro. Regarding the food itself, like I stated, often it was dry or old looking and tasting. read more

Last nights Chicken Burrito sealed the deal for me to not wast my money here anymore. The chicken was bland and the texture of some pieces made me worried it wasn't fully cooked. Absolutely terrible service. The more rounded lady was yapping to her coworker about some relationship while i waited for 5 minutes to get my order taken. An older lady started making my food but a bunch was lost in translation and i ended up getting nothing i asked for. Rice was rock solid and the lettuce was brown. The employees seemed miserable, one looked incredibly depressed. What's wrong with the management here? Shame on you. Every time i visit this Chipotle it has gotten worse and worse. It's the shiny new place. Super clean. Clearly marked serpentine for the ordering line. They seem to have imported the professionals for their initial opening. The woman behind the bar was something just to watch and behold. My guess is she was born to be the person at the Chipotle food bar. Almost robotic on her memory of each question but still had a personal friendly touch. Switched from scoop to scoop effortlessly. Moved with ease and grace. My pet peeves at other locations the mixing and drips into other containers. Not here not with her in charge. A true master. Done quickly done correctly and great communication packaged and ready to go. I am not crazy about how they charge for the so called extras. Starts to make it a not so inexpensive stop. The drinks here seemed limited. I don't know if it's Covid or have they made this change everywhere but the chips seemed not to exist and were not offered as in the past. Overall a great experience. The food is Chipotle. Plenty of it. Lots of good ingredients. More of a fill me up place than a I'm looking for flavor or something authentic. They do have a drive thru for phone ahead orders seemed to work perfectly as I ate and watched. Cars came in seemed to not wait and r cieve their orders and off they went. Even multiple cars arriving seemed to be served and on their way with very little delay. Maybe the way to go to avoid any Covid crowding. The indoor space was a little tight and limited in the ability to social distance. Very clean quickly turned around and cleaned ready for the next guest. read more

I'm trying to fathom why it is impossible to get even remotely close to what we ordered. I would say if you hated a person's guts this is the order you would throw in their bag. There were about 3 flecks of the meat that we ordered, the wrong rice and about a quarter the amount of the other dish. Etc, etc. they were probably almost out of what we ordered so just scraped the bottom of the container and split it between two meals. Just awesome. Enjoy your experience at this place! read more

Walked in to grab a quick dinner. I came in around 8:45 on a Sunday which I can understand the staff wanting to go home at the end of there shift, but the food line was pretty close to being empty, and I ordered a burrito bowl and the employee literally gave me the scrapings of shredded beef and then when I asked for lettuce, I was told they didn't have anymore lettuce. (Who eats a burrito bowl with out lettuce?) Then when I asked for chips they gave me a bag of chips from the back that were very stale. That's BS if you're advertising to be open for whole hour more you should still have your line full of all food products that you are supposed to be served. What a horrible chipotle location. The employees and managers do not care and it shows. My husband and I love chipotle and go there often we moved to Newberg 6 months ago and have been here 5+ times thinking it will get better and it never does. Went to get lunch today, 6 employees there 2 were chatting with one another about their personal lives doing nothing and the manager was just standing there talking with them. While they are out of a lot of the food and they rudely say how they haven't even started making new things so pretty much whatever they have out is what is available. My wife and I have enjoyed the food here occasionally especially the chicken al pastor. We each ordered the chicken al pastor and I picked it up around 6:30. Now I don't know if they were running out of the chicken at that time but as I was eating it I realized that it definitely was short on chicken. For a dish that cost $10 we expected to have more than 4 bites of chicken. And those bites were tiny pieces of meat. Very disappointing. read more

I go to chipotle in tualatin and sherwood often and have great food and service. Unfortunately, this is not the case with newberg chipotle. As of recent, their service has been incomprehensibly bad, as I have received the complete wrong order whilst picking up my online order. The afternoon service is acceptable, do keep in mind, but the later afternoon and evening service is diabolically horrible and a gigantic appetite suppressant. Besides for not being able to get my order right, the food also isn't very pleasant, as the huge hit of lime destroys my pallet with each bite, the carne asada is well over seasoned for any sane persons liking. Live down the street and was our go to but lately has been really disappointing from the cleanliness to the customer service. I had a negative interaction today with an employee who apparently Misunderstood my order and when asked to correct she begun to talk back to me and say I was wrong she heard what she heard mind you there was a line. She then rolled her eyes at me and was super rude making everyone uncomfortable. I was definitely not ok with how she made me feel I asked to speak to a manager and was told she was the General Manager and her name was Kenzie. I was even more disappointed that the treatment came from someone in position of supposed leadership and this reaction of her what she was showing her employees as an example of how to handle errors on an order. I asked to speak to her once the the line had been done she came out to speak to me. I asked her I heard you were the general manager. She said I am a manager and I said OK well I would like to address and share feedback with you about how her interaction went. She looked at me and I said I would like to ask you going forward that your mindful and refrain from your facial expressions and rolling of your eyes when you have an interaction with a customer who is not pleased with their order the way that you made me feel when you did that in front of other customers made me super uncomfortable and I found it highly disrespectful. She then continued on to try to excuse her behavior by saying well human to human I heard you say steak and that's why I said that I said at the end of the day it doesn't matter. You need to fix the situation and not have those types of interactions. Then she went on to say that she did fix the order and I said yeah, but you didn't fix it with a positive look on your face as you fixed it while, rolling your eyes and making comments under your breath she then could not say anything after that she couldn't even deny or address it I said well I'm sorry that this is the way you chose to handle things, but it is unacceptable to me and I will not be allowing you or anyone to make me feel that kind of way or make any other customers who come in here who may have an issue to have to deal with the same type of interaction with you. I'm going to make sure that I put this out so people can see and understand that this isn't OK. Chipotle when promoting or hiring managers, please do better. Unfortunately, this experience has left a bitter taste in my mouth and this one in particular was super uncomfortable and really unprofessional to have a manager in position of leadership then go and have such a comfortability to roll their eyes in front of other customers and be ok with rude behavior is upsetting . Where has the customer service expectations gone Chipotle. I have contacted customer service and shared this feedback as well. read more
