Not happy with Chipotle!!! I order pick up at least once a week from this location because I work in the same shopping center. Most times the lady at the pick up area is not nice. It's like it hurts her to smile at customers. Today, I tried to order my usual online and wanted to claim my free guac but there was a problem with the payment (storewide). So I walked in and placed my order. Not only did I have to wait for lettuce to be put out, but then when I tried to claim my guac one guy says oh it's online. I explained I tried ordering online but couldn't because of the payment issue. Every time I've tried to get a free promotion I can never get it with Chipotle and this is frustrating. Other establishments, no problem getting free promotions or using rewards. I told the staff that I order there every week and if they could just give me the side of guac (a $2.75 item) because of the online payment issue and they refused to, stating they had a ton of guac orders. I'm usually okay with this Chipotle. At times depending on your server they'll really pack on the food and other times it's a little off. My big gripe is the fact that I paid for a side of guac and chips and the guac is full of large chunks of unripe avocado. This place does not deserve the stars it has. Seriously, the worst Chipotle I've ever been too. I tell the first employee my order. She looks annoyed, and adds beans. She hands it to the next employee to add cheese.. She looks annoyed as well, and is short with me. The third employee rings me up. She literally says, "Two sides, chicken bowl." I say, a burrito with beans and cheese, yes. She says 2 sides. I ask, "Are you telling me to add two sides?' She rolls her eyes. I say, "I think you're telling me to add to sides, so chips and fruit," She says, "No, it's not a kids meal." Then she realizes that she hasn't been clear and actually speaks a complete sentence, "I charged you for two sides only, since the burrito only has beans and cheese." She looks annoyed and flustered to have to explain. Also, I skipped the guacamole because it was old and brown. I've never been to a Chipotle where the guacamole isn't fresh. This is a first. My number one complaint is the super small portions! It is ridiculous to charge $13.35 for a bowl and get next to nothing when they make it. When I asked for a little more rice, the person making the bowl pretended to add more but did not. It was insulting!! The other two bowls that I purchased were just as skimpy!!! My number second number one complaint is the horrible customer service. The staff is not friendly, and they all have terrible attitudes. The sad thing is, they don't hide it. They just look at you , waiting for you to say something, with a look on their face that says "I don't care" I am not alone in my complaints, as I was getting a my fork and napkins, two other customers complained about the employees terrible attitudes. The one customer regretted buying her food, her sentiment was, "I should not have spent my money here, the guy who made my bowl had a terrible attitude". Good customer service is extremely important. Just an update to this Chipotle location. It's been almost a year since I've visited and things have definitely changed. With COVID19 going on, I generally place my order via mobile app to avoid waiting in line for a long time around other customers. Once my order was placed, it took only about 5 minutes for my food to be ready so they're quick on service. When entering the restaurant, there's a staff member upfront requesting everyone who walks in to sanitize our hands. When I went to pick-up my food, there were many customers and it was a bit crowded in the order line. The food was just average, I felt that I would have preferred a different Chipotle location. The guacamole was brown and I had asked for no beans but received black beans in my bowl. Personally, I would rather drive a bit further out for my food to be fresh and accurate next time. read more

No, keep driving another couple miles to the next Chipotle! Don't put yourself through the annoyance and disappointment that this location is sure to bring you. This location DOESN'T listen to your wants (aka my food needs). Staff are super quick to dump in other ingredients before you even say them. I ordered a burrito bowl today and instead of saying what I wanted I found myself continuously saying no . Both employees working the line continued to began putting items into my bowl that I didn't want. Before I had finished with the topping another employee was trying to get me to check out. I had to ask her to wait until I got everything I wanted inmy bowl before I check out. The biggest issue I had was when I asked for a little sour cream and I got two spoon fulls. When I sat down to eat my burrito it was SO cold and soupy.... I attached a photo, let me know if you can even tell what's inside it. I don't understand why I was being rushed. I'm surprised to read all of the negative reviews of this location. I go there once a month, and I find the customer service to be fairly standard. My online orders are made correctly and on time. It's a bit annoying to have to ask for my online order nowadays--they used to put them on a shelf so customers could simply grab them. Maybe they had issues with theft, as now I have to ask a worker behind the shelf/counter for the order. Well, I guess no one will steal it. The only time I've sensed confusion among the workers is when I ask for extra chicken on the side. It's not a menu item (at least not online), and invariably the worker I ask has to pull in the manager to figure out how to charge for a side of chicken. You can order extra meat to be incorporated into, say, a burrito, but if you order a separate side of chicken, mild chaos and confusion ensue. Chipotle corporate: please add an online option for a side of chicken, beef, etc. One of the only other experiences that gave me pause here? A customer brought her dog in. The dog was not clearly labeled as a service dog. While the lady was paying, her dog put his paws up on the order counter. Pretty sure that was some kind of health code violation. I needed an emotional support burrito after that one. Overall, the customer service here is fine. Just as in life, if you are nice to people, they are usually nice to you. read more

Food was typical for a chipotle, but the an employee scolded another one for putting too much guacamole on the bowl before and watched over as the employee put the guacamole on my bowl, which was half a spoon full and tapped out to be even less. Never coming back to Chipotle ever!! This was my last straw. Today I came in to eat Chipotle for the first time in a while. I had forgotten why I stopped eating it but by coming in to this restaurant I was instantly reminded of why I stopped eating Chipotle. So, I had asked the lady for a bowl with tortillas on the side but never prepared the tortillas. She then gave me half a scoop of chicken. But I saw that the person behind me got a very generous portion of chicken. I asked her if I can get the tortilla and she prepared another bowl and I had to tell her once more that I just wanted a tortilla. She then gave me a NASTY look for her own mistake. I just walked out. I wasnt going to pay $10+ for half a scoop of chicken and terrible service. Dont spend your money on an establishment that doesnt value customer satisfaction. Im so glad I walked out bc I was able to experience great food and service by going to Mission BBQ (which was a couple stores down) They were so kind and gave me good portions of food. Is this a franchise? Yes! A fast food restaurant? Yes! So, what it has special to deserves a review? Well, maybe there's nothing special due that is not a high class restaurant, but it feels real, it feels good, it feels authentic and fresh, whatever! I like how clean inside is and how fast people works inside. I like the music they play inside, the reasonable amount of food you get for the price you pay, the attention is not bad too. In this shopping place you get a free parking, without those annoying two hours tickets validation that you have to scanned every time you leave the establishment, that's a plus for me. Good location, it is in the middle of the two mayor cafeterias in the States, on the right there is an Donkin' Donuts on the left there's an Starbucks, so, in conclusion get a book, go to eat here and then stop at any of the cafeterias I mentioned before and have peace reading and enjoying your favorite coffee after your meal, no excuses! I think this is an older establishment so it was a bit run down compared to other ones. There is plenty of parking if you open your feelings to parking farther way or entering from the back door. On my most recent visit to Chippy, I was not too happy. The line was pretty long (well, it was 6:30 pm...) and the staff was not as generous as they have been in the past. I decided to ask for two different types of meat: Steak and Barb as the gentleman in front of me asked for Steak and Chicken. I thought that was pretty cool and never looked at Chipotle with Subway capabilities. Since the Steak and the Barbacoa are the same price, I was given half portions of both for the price of one. As BP pointed out, if I had asked for Steak and Chicken, I would have paid for the more expensive meat: Steak. So anyway, was this my mistake? I don't know... To management of this Chipotle location: I hate to complain about a fast food place that usually is up to task, but my experience here yesterday was unacceptable. I placed an online order. The website said it would be ready at 8:10. I arrived at the restaurant at 8:10. At 8:15, I asked staff, politely, if they knew when my order would be ready. Response: "There a bunch of orders ahead of you. We had a lot of orders come in for 8:10." I continued to wait. Meanwhile, the customers who had walked in and stood in the regular line to place their orders were served and went on their way. But there were also 4 or 5 other customers waiting for their online orders to be delivered, at least one of which appeared to be a Door Dash driver, who had been told to arrive much earlier to pick up his customer's order. When my food arrive at 8:37, I said to staff, as nicely as I could, "I hate to complain, but this order was supposed to be ready nearly a half hour ago." They didn't seem to get it, and again blamed the online ordering system. Not even a "We're so sorry about the inconvenience." I therefore spelled it out for them: "Usually, when there is a big problem with an order, a restaurant apologies and tries to do something nice. You, know, comp a couple items, or provides a coupon--" "Look, I'll just refund your meal. Okay?" I probably should have accepted the offer, but in the moment, that seemed too much. So I said, "We've been coming here for a long time. I'd just be happy to have a coupon to use next time." I was handed a receipt with a handwritten notation, indicating that it was valid for a free burrito on my next visit. I think the lessons of this experience should be self-explanatory. But in case they are not: 1) Fix the online ordering system. If an order cannot be ready at 8:10, don't allow it to be placed for that time (or maybe this location just didn't devote enough resources to getting online orders ready). I would not be complaining if the Chipotle website promised and delivered my order at 8:40. Expectations are everything! 2) Explain to your employees how to act when things go wrong. Yes, I understand that Chipotle's online ordering system may be flawed, but that is Chipotle's problem. Don't suggest it is mine. I get it. Working fast food is stressful, customers can be unpleasant, and things will go wrong no matter how hard you try. But being able to address problems when they do occur goes a long way. 3) If staff had responded appropriate to this situation by taking some responsibility for the matter and perhaps offered a coupon or discount for a return visit without my prompting, I would not be writing this complaint. I love Chipotle but today I'm feeling sick. I think I have food poisoning! Deadly, delicious culprit: chicken fajita bowl (white rice, black beans, fajita mix, corn salsa, sour cream, cheese, and romaine lettuce). I was inhaling the chicken fajita bowl like a beast, tasting undercooked chicken and thinking "ah, it won't kill me, I'll get over it" and here I am, 1:35 AM, sick for hours (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, chills, slight fever and malaise). After going to bed at 9 pm and getting up, I still feel nauseous and I still have a fever. Retracing my day, got up at 1PM, dropped off items at dry cleaners up the block and grabbed Starbucks and Chipotle on my way back home..that's it for the whole day. Definitely one of my favorite chipotles around the Rockville area! Taste wise in general, it's the same as most chipotles so it's nothing special. However, they give very reasonable portions (much better than the Rio one; the Rio one gives a noticeably less amount of food) and I never had an issue with uncooked rice (unlike the college Park one)! I would say I come to this chipotle quite often, as it does fill me up for two meals! I can never go wrong with half chicken and half sofritas, and have guac on it amongst other toppings. All in all, this chipotle is definitely one of my top fast food places to go in the area :) read more
