Ordered two bowls from door dash this evening with double meat. I order regularly from them and up until today, the bowls have been decent.. Whoever is working tonight is horrible at making bowls. You can't even call them to let them know so they can improve their service. They only care if it's ordered through their site or app. Otherwise you're out of luck. I ordered double meat and hardly any meat was in the bowl and sprinkles of all other items. The bowl hardly had any food in it. Totally got jipped paying $21 for a double meat steak bowl and almost $17 for a double chicken bowl. I'm never ordering from them again for delivery. Guess I have to go there from now on. read more

The best part about this location is exactly that, the location. It is very conveniently close to my apartment which makes it a go-to for mid-week lunches. If you can, walk or ride a bike. The parking in this area is difficult and based on pure luck. If you order online, be prepared for one thing to be wrong. It seems like a game for the employees, but if you aren't watching something will be missing or added. The food is the same as other chipotle locations so you won't be disappointed if you know what you're in for. They are very quick so the line isn't often long which is also a bonus. read more

Worst Chipotle ever. Chicken was cold even though I dug in less than ten minutes after the app said my pickup would be ready, and I ordered a burrito but was given a bowl. Label on the package even says burrito. Rice is soupy (so soft it doesn't taste right), and half the entree. I ordered light rice and extra beans, and seemed to get extra rice and light beans. Oh and the chicken is gristly. I've had to spit out three pieces and I'm not halfway done. Wish I had more time on my lunch break to go back and complain. I just have to say most of the time, it's a miss at this location. I usually do mobile orders and I'm always left afraid what they'll do wrong. Not sure if their system is not reading everything the app says or what. Today, I order double steak and double chicken in one bowl, got only one normal serving of chicken, I asked about my order of double and she showed me her print out not showing double meat, I showed her my mobile order on my phone for proof, all that fuss to give me my double meat, come to find out she didn't even put my steak in there. So there's something wrong with the system and the persons working on this Sunday 6-18-22 1220. I showed up at my pick up time 4 mins late but the order still wasn't made so they finally said it's being made that's how I knew I saw little protein in there. Chips were stale and hard. For got my sides I asked through my app and corn topping she was rushing with no other customers behind me. There was just so much going on that's wrong with my order that it wasn't even worth trying to complain about remaking. The chicken was dry and burnt tasting as heck. This will be the last time visiting here. Get it together Chipotle! What is wrong with your customer service "bot" chat. That service is not helpful in anyway. Only allows one reason to submit your issue. Consider that a lot can go wrong! He turned to her and told her, "Use your white voice, we are in midtown serving white people here." Grill cook joked about crossing the street if he saw asians and other races on the sidewalk. He was harassing the cashier who appeared to be of Asian heritage. The restaurant closed at 10 pm but by 8:50 pm the staff decided that the bathrooms were closed for the night and blocked access to them. Refused to give us the access code. Good, Decent, Above-Average Burritos SITREP I keep forgetting that Capitol Dawg is closed now. And I don't necessarily want to get bogged down with all the menu selection that is at Jack's Urban Eats right next to the Old Capitol Dawg location. SETUP So just one block or so over is Chipolte right on Capitol. Being right in the heart of downtown-midtown grid, this makes for a great lunchtime stop (and I've actually never been here for dinner). THE MENU I like how you can basically "build" your own burrito with the friendly staff. Choices include: * Chicken, Beef or Pork, all good options * Between the kinds of beans (black, pinto, etc.), selected produce, * Whether you want it in a burrito wrap or go low-carb by just doing the "burrito-bowl" with only the INSIDES of the burrito. * Lots of great other options, including the different kinds of salsas - I always love the Southwest medium spicy option that includes the corn. This basic burrito will run you about $6 here. However...... EXTRA EXTRA! It does get a bit more pricey (and this is where the cost leaps dramatically) when you want more of the good stuff, such as the cheeses, and EXTRA cheese, both sour cream AND guacamole, and so this is where I think it becomes a bit less cost-effective because of the add-ons such as guac & cheese (and the other cholesterol ENHANCEMENTS I love on my burritos). So by this time, my dam burrito now runs me about $8 (or more), and I'm asking myself if I would have been better off saving money by getting a couple of $1 cheesy potato beef burritos at Taco Bell. QUALITY vs. SAVINGS Eh. You definitely get what you pay for, and this is higher quality, but it ain't cheap. So you have to do the (personal budget) math in your own head, and factor in whether filling the void by saving money is more important. THE LOWDOWN Easily the best burrito in Sacramento, if not also the priciest. read more

What can I say? I was not a chipotle fan before coming here. I saw my fellow elite yelpers and saw so many 4 stars here it piqued my interest in trying this location out. The one I had before a few times was just ok, 2 1/2 star place. This place must be the one that people rave about! I was welcomed by the aroma of freshly cooked meat, yum! The people were very busy preparing food for the several people in line, and were friendly when giving us the bathroom code. The establishment is clean and although not immaculate, it is only littered with a little bit of small crumbs. Ok now for the food! Chicken was juicy, not dry, favors were bursting! Produce was fresh, no wilted leaves, no mushy diced tomatoes. Rice was slightly firm, but that's how I like it. Beans were good too. My entire burrito was what I had wished my first chipotle experience was. This is the burrito people brag about! It's not soggy and causing a huge mess! Just one napkin needed here! I ordered the Burrito Bowl w/ chicken. I almost went with the steak, but I'm glad I asked to try both of the proteins. The steak is spicy, for this wimp! The infamous "Guac is Extra" line was dropped, which I'm assuming is a regular for the employees here. I wanted to scream "I KNOW!", which I didn't scream of course. I smiled, said okay, and kept on moving down the line. Like I've said at may other 'make your own' places - if you don't like it, you don't really get to complain, since you selected the items that make your meal! I'll probably never order the carnitas, which is why I stopped going in the first place. But the chicken was decent and I enjoyed that they had white and brown rice, I got both...I felt a little healthier. It doesn't taste authentic, so I don't get the hype. This branch is on the corner of 19th and Capitol with limited metered street parking. The menu is simple yet complex. You choose your protein and style then top with any number of fresh toppings. Burritos were the star until everyone hated carbs, so now people load up their bowls with lots of guacamole instead. The food is fresh, but not very aggressive in flavor. I prefer the stewed meats which are easier to eat in a burrito than the grilled chicken and steak. Seating is generous for midtown with a small patio. They serve alcohol and great chips and salsa too. Catering has expanded with great options for local offices and parties.
